Did the lady is question assume you're a Black Brit with no heritage? I doubt she stopped any communication with you because you're from Naija She obviously knows blacks living in the UK have come from somewhere mainly Africa or the West Indies. if your twang bothered her she would have asked you as soon as she met you where you come from originally if she didn't ask you It looks like she could have cared less with where you're from.Anything could have happened. Be proud of who you are |
Everyone is entitled to their own preference. A close friend of mine was previously approached by a good looking man (she is caramel in complexion) she later asked me "what I'm I going to do with such a dark man"?? I reminded her that her own boyfriend wasn't light in complexion either and yes there were many things to do with this brother lol she just rolled her eyes and kissed her teeth at me I couldn't stop laughing. Just like we have selective hearing sometimes we also choose what to see |
Every man is his own individual why the whole comparison game anyway? The Population of Naija is over 149 million it's obvious there will be more Nigerians overseas compared to other African nations with a population of let's say 2 or 3 million. |
Yeah I saw the article on Metro UK saying that the OBA has "resurfaced" what are these Oyinbo's trying to say? The mask hid itself, stole itself & now it has come from hibernation all on it's own?? why can't they be truthful for once and say what exactly went down 1.) A royal Family in Benin City gave it as a gift to some family or 2.) They took the OBA forcefully and we know what that is called!! |
Punny keeps me motivated!
lol Anytin else?? there must be surely it's not all about that |
The UK is a joke when it comes to snow!! Must everything come to a standstill??They have too many excuses lately it's just unbelievable they predicted it and then didn't prepare themselves for it.What would countries like Canada,Norway,Denmark,Germany and some parts of the America's Mid- West say compared to this 5 inches of snow in the UK?? Lazy is what I call it |
Ladies & Gents let us share what keeps us motivated, share your favorite story, pictures, best quotes or even a bit of poetry.Personally a lot of things motivate me I believe as long as I continue to breath I can always change my circumstances.Another thing that keeps me motivated is my family ![]() |
If you have oily skin, using the Medimix can help reduce the oil. A lot of those acne system products are created in a manner that makes you dependent on the product that way you'll be forced to buy more products from their line to solve other problems that may be created due to usage of the acne fighting systems. Hehehe, why do you think Proactiv has so many different products? As for the stores on Atlantic, some of them are a bit useless. When I first I went buy the soaps, I went to all the Islamic stores along Atlantic Avenue and asked the store owners and they either had no idea what I was talking about or didn't carry that brand. Then I went to Little India in Manhattan and I found it in every Indian store I walked into. With all honesty, I'm so grateful that I found these soaps. Good luck on finding these soaps in the stores.
Yay I found them!! Chandrika & Medimix are quite popular over here they were out of stock in 5 shops I got lucky on the sixth and seventh shop I bought both.I used the Medimix for my face & Chandrika on my body.I'm amazed at the fact that they both don't dry but left my skin feeling very soft and supple and not forgetting CLEAN !! Medimix smells OK I will use this one long term on both Body and face due to developing a small rash on my arms, thighs & legs as well as a slight itch after using Chandrika such a pity though ![]() I blame my skin for not appreciating the power of Ayurveda. So glad Medimix is working fine it's got more herbs ![]() Will keep you posted.Thank you again |
Is Dr. Miracle's working for you? How about the Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF?
My acne was mild when I started using Aveeno I haven't seen much of a difference on my blemishes they haven't faded. I have been using the Dr Miracle for about a week, I noticed I get all shiny later on in the day like I have suddenly dipped my face in a bowl full of groundnut oil I don't know what that is all about.I need to have some dry tissue to wipe out the shine and that could end up aggravating the skin again !! Well what can I say?? Gal you are a gem, you've made a discovery of another soap.Funny thing about my skin is that I have oily skin on my face and extremely dry skin on my body.I remember a few years ago when I was on Atlantic Ave in Brooklyn and I would just walk into some shop smelling of incense or strong spices and start asking about different body soaps I should have been looking for the Indian shops as well . I'm going out today to do my Xmas shopping I will need to go to the Indian shops and see if I will find any of the Medimix or Jeeva soaps. Thanks a lot for bringing this to the light ![]() |
the soap can help to diminish acne scars.
Oh Lawd help me !! Inked_Nerd you don't say !!which of the two helps with scars? Chandrika Ayurvedic Soap or Medimax? |
No problem. What type of moisturizers have you/do you currently use? By the way, the soap can help to diminish acne scars.
I have been using Aveeno Positively Radiant SPF 15 for about a year now,but there hasn't been much change then last week the flare ups started and I'm now using Dr Miracles's Acne system cleanser, toner & moisturizer. I saw your article yesterday and I thought to myself I'm never going to stop looking for a remedy until I get my flawless skin back lol |
I know some people say that love Reigns .If both in-laws get along and respect each other it's alright but for the most part if your parents are against it then is it really worth the trouble?? what do you do?? |
Women are always judged harshly by society.I'm sure it has nothing to do with her level of education.I wonder why some folk are thinking she has a stank attitude. It could also depend on where she's meeting this men. We are well aware that unlike you gentlemen we can't have it all career, motherhood but there is a season for everything. The lady in question has focused on her career and now she feels it's time to settle down, let her be |
@ Inked_Nerd Hey Inked Nerd Thanks for that info I will be looking for that soap in the indian shops here in the UK.My acne is now mild but I do get flare ups now and again the worst thing is the blackheads it leaves behind. I have been looking for a moisturizer that could help diminish the marks but everything I see has harsh chemicals on it so I wont risk touching that stuff in case the acne stops hibernating and comes back in full force

|

57 Year Old Botswana's president is looking for love.He has told his aides to get him a "Tall and slim lady". That's President Khama's preference and we can respect that but did he really need to point at his female minister and say she is big enough and may fail to pass through the door and may break furniture with her weight and even break the vehicle's shock absorbers?? He knows very well that the average African woman has curves I guess he was cracking a joke .Khama the comedian http://thegloss.com/sex-and-dating/the-president-of-botswana-wants-to-get-married-no-fatties-need-apply/ http://abcnews.go.com/International/video/botswana-president-love-12327045 |

So into you by Tamia |
I'm sure there are more African artists out there.I wonder what criteria the Mama awards use because Kenya,Naija and South Africa frequently win is it because they are representing East,South & West Africa?? |
You might as well let the other person know you're in an open relationship with them that way they know you can step anytime. What happened to good old fashioned monogamy??For keeps and not for back ups? Kai !! |

Thanks for getting back to me guys.I got the phone through Phones 4 U and it has been an absolute nightmare. Phones 4 U have told me to deal with o2 as the matter is now out of their hands. But wait!! They are only willing to buy me out of the contract if I get another contract with them but they don't do any tariffs where you can text out of the UK.They are not making an ounce of sense at all I called o2 and they told me I didn't get the phone with them and they're unable to do anything to help unless I pay over £600 .I suggested Bolt ons and they said they don't do Bolt ons for texts abroad There has to be some way out surely ?? |
What would be the best possible way of terminating my 24 month contract with o2 after the cooling period is over? I got the 9300 Blackberry Curve 500 on a tariff of 500 Minutes,Unlimited UK only texts,500MB all for £25 a month. I'm being charged extra for texting outside the UK although I mentioned that I do text out of the UK at the point of sale. I know it's partly my fault for not reading the small print carefully but now I'm stuck with a contract I'm not fully benefitting from. would it be possible for an individual to buy me out of my contract??. Any suggestions would be appreciated |
You are welcome & enjoy the ride it's bound to get bumpy ![]() |
