Wow some people here are very well traveled... nice!!

Mr Ajanlekoko did you say you like KLM? I've not had a good experience with them on two occasions,or maybe I was just unlucky both times.Dec 2009 Berlin to Amsterdam cancellation of most of their flights due to a snow storm which was understandable, what left me baffled was them keeping us in the airport for over 6 hours and the fact that they were unwilling to pay for our accommodation over night like other airlines were doing at the time.(the sight of parents with small children begging the staff at the check-in to place them in near by hotels was pathetic)

Then in Feb 2010 I booked a flight from Manchester with air France only to reach the airport and was informed that the particular Air France flight was being operated by KLM something about(code sharing) they kept us in the dark for a while before informing us the flight had been delayed... all in all I wasn't very impressed with them.

Swiss Air & Brussels Airlines are good (large seats, service is good) I fly with Ba frequently at the moment because I get flights to the U.S on short notice at a reasonable price, but those Ba planes are Antique Mehn!!,while flying all I hear is a lot of rattling...fear dey catch me!!! some of their planes esp their UK to US flights look terrible the interior is in desperate need of an upgrade.

Delta & United Airlines just have high prices and nothing to talk home about,AA airlines is not as bad unless things have changed, last flew them 6 years ago.I was quite surprised with southwest airlines, for a low cost airline their service is superb

Did someone say they have been on the A380? I would love to travel on that with Emirates or Singapore airlines or any African airline willing to invest on one.A cruise sounds like fun too I wouldn't mind that.
Destinations I would like to travel are the Caribbean Islands,Japan,Hong Kong and I wouldn't mind repeating my visits to some East and West African countries

Family / Re: How & Why Do Siblings Fall Apart? by Freesia(f): 10:25pm On Apr 09, 2012
Poor parenting skills is the root of the problem and for those that grew without their parents their guardians did a poor job too.I'm not a mother yet but from what I have observed once favoritism from the parents to the kids start so does the sibling rivalry and then it snowballs from there, one kid grows up feeling superior and the other one grows up feeling neglected and unloved.

Romance / Re: I Am A Single Mum. Can I Still Find True Love? by Freesia(f): 6:24pm On Apr 08, 2012
cugresources: @Prettycindy, God in His infinite mercy will resurrect your marital life again, whether with your ex or a new better one, but then, obey God, read the bible and apply wisdom. This story should help other single ladies out there to learn. Seriously in Nigeria, we have a big issue of tribe that we all must not ignore especially in marriage. whether u are a man or a woman, try and focus more on marrying your tribe, the bible counseled that too, and it was for a reason- culture, belief, tradition, norms, etc matters a lot in determining the success of every marriage be it african or western marriage, so don't foolishly ignore those facts when making your choice. Have it in mind that it may not be as easy as we may tell u, talking of finding another deserving true love for marriage, but it is very possible. Again, your ex-hubby not taking care of his own rightful son, I believe he earns a meager income plus other things u mentioned. so next time, consider one who can take care of your needs even though I don't encourage ladies to go for rich guys, but rich guys must also marry someone, but its better and safer he marries his old friend he knew when he was not so rich or better his rich-class. I hope u are not a bossy-type lady cos men disgust them even though they won't tell u. Goodluck and be strong and wise next time, u will find love, just join a good church and make yourself committed and visible.

Life has no guarantees, just because you marry someone from your tribe doesn't mean happiness,it makes it easier because your cultures and tribes are identical but it doesn't necessarily mean you will always be happy.
Personally I don't know what's better, marrying someone whose's culture encourages polygamy or getting married to a man who is married to one woman but this man has several girlfriends & mistresses outside!!! In my eyes the women married to these men are sharing their husbands with other women, some willingly and others are not even aware there are other women outside.
Everybody's outlook towards marriage is different, the bottom line is we're are all praying and hoping to find the right person for us,a devoted lifetime Husband/wife.

loool, i cant stop laughing,so na so people go dey abuse me say d guy dey check him cheap wrist watch every minute make we c am... ejoor o, i use my own brand wristwatch which isnt costly at all, buh am used to looking at my time almost every minute when am talking with people, or somwhere i feel i need to use that time instead of doing whatever am doing...

That could depend on your body language, some do it when they are pressed for time and don't want to be rude "they are hinting they want out" and others do it or did it to impress they were not going anywhere fast mind you . . . they just kept admiring their watch authentic or fake

Wallie: People do the same with their fake watches. grin

lol I kept wondering why someone would keep looking at the "time" every 2 minutes while in a conversation, meanwhile they were just waiting for you to comment on their watch, last thing on my mind was it being a fake watch. Some people do the silliest things sometimes smiley

Family / Re: Why Are Non British Born Nigerian's Becoming Heavily Involved In UK Gangs by Freesia(f): 7:29pm On Apr 02, 2012
Some of these kids are not born in the UK but many have grown up there and have found themselves in bad company. Some dropped out of school and have now exposed themselves to the street-life.It's a sad situation because most of these African kids had parents who worked round the clock to ensure they had a good lifestyle. This is another reason why some parents ship their kids back home for a few years when they get to their teenage years when they see or notice their kids are becoming uncontrollable.
TV/Movies / Re: IrokoTV by Freesia(f): 11:49pm On Mar 31, 2012
Naijamann:

IROKO are just greedy set of people, imagine they are claiming ownership of naija music video on youtube as well. They have created official youtube pages for them naija artists all because of google ads money they wanted to make. That's when I began to fukking hate them more and more because ordinary people can't post music on utube no more without being banned! Why claiming copy right ownership on naija music videos The reason why people put these music videos on youtube is for others to watch, appraise or review them without the occasional stupid google ads splashing across the videos. Iroko is not a record label or marketing company...so why banning others for uploading music videos

They're definitely taking the biscuit!!! I can't watch at least 15 of my favorite songs on my playlist anymore because Iroko is claiming copyright ownership, somebody needs to do something fast. What in the world do they think they are doing

TV/Movies / Re: IrokoTV by Freesia(f): 9:24pm On Mar 29, 2012
They have a new site? what better place to advertise than NL
What I found unethical about the way they were conducting their business a few years ago (I knew them as Nollywoodlove) was the way they went about deceiving and misleading folk on youtube that they were the only ones downloading movies legally and that everybody else was pirating their movies.

They went to a point of changing the titles of some Ghanaian movies to "match some sort" of Nollywood criteria.I don't know what they were on about with that particular move ?!?
While all this was going on I personally had 2 friends who were downloading movies after buying them from the African shops in London and were also greatly accused of pirating their movies.
It's a good thing other websites came up and we are now spoiled for choice on where to watch the movies we "complain" about but gladly watch smiley
Family / Re: Help! My Husband Wants Me To Change My Name From Ndidi To Sinmisola. by Freesia(f): 11:46pm On Mar 14, 2012
ifyalways: LMAO!

What is in a name?Nothing. Its just the spirit of ego and stubborness worrying you both.

I don't know why your husband is insisting you change your first name to something you obviously dislike but if you too would just stop sulking and frowning, you would be able to get your husband back to his senses.I daresay the simi thing might actually be a harmful joke on his part but your rejecting it vehemently and seriously made him persist at it.

way to go:when he calls him Simi, respond with Chukwuemeka my love.hahaha
He wants you to be his simi, you want him to be your emeka, simples.

Please mellow down so that soon you guys wont fight over baby names(when they start coming).

Sis Ify has said it all
