One problem with this country and her useless, thieving leaders is that they never have any plan for some form of mid-term evaluation/review to verify that the ill expected to be cured by some initiative, policy or program that has been conceived and executed is actually addresed. Targets/milestones are not set so there is nothing to work towards or measure against.

This is what has played our with the quota system in the education sector ostensibly set up to close the gaps between educationally-disadvantaged states and others not so disadvantaged. It is not supposed to be a lifetime policy but decades later, the gap has widened even more and nothing has been done to address the deliberately unfair practice that pulls others down so those that refuse to work can meet up.

Now, this school feeding program rears its ugly head up. First, socialist policies like this are designed to fail in an unregulated society like ours where there is no structure or reliable database with biting poverty! It is supposed to ramp up school attendance and reduce the number of out-of-school children. However, as clearly indicated the OP, the situation has worsened. Before the program, statistics for Nigeria recorded over 10m children out of school. Now, how many years after, the number of children our of school has almost doubled with 16m + children recorded to be out of school. What then is the justification for keeping it running and even deciding to supposedly feed children who are compulsorily at home due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

First, I never even saw this thread or knew of its existence till you mentioned and redirected me to it. Secondly, I am very much aware especially of the circumstances the op tried to share, that young boys are victims especially in their homes while growing up when they are exposed to criminal, unprincipled older females who abuse them. A lot of men in our society were exposed to sex in this ungodly manner at very tender ages and they continued in that vein till date. No child, male or female should ever be violated in such a manner.

Female children however, have it worse especially when they are brutally raped, sometimes injured, killed or left pregnant and then they face the wrath/stigma of unwanted pregnancy, rejection by families, abandonment, truncated education and so on. How many male children despite their abuse face these consequences?

Like I said, the advocacy for the female sex has come a very long way yet you still have some that claim that the victim enjoyed it or invited it by her appearance so stop screaming hypocrisy, the job is yet to be done. If you are so passionate about this subject, you need to change your mindset and understand that it is not automatic or a day's job.
