Henryjr:
Girls of these days dresses too indecently, what is meant to be kept would seen exposed through their dress-to-kill formation. I blame the girl
When u see someone buying an expired item, first blame the seller, before coming to the buyer.

First, who told you that the 'punishment' for the 'crime' of dressing indecently is rape? Do you correct one 'wrong' with another crime? What part of the story or narration informed your opinion that she was indecently dressed? Who then appointed 18 year old boys as decency police to 'correct' the victim by raping her? What right has anyone to even so much as touch another without consent not to talk of hold her down against her will for 5 demonic criminals to take turns violating her? Those babies, toddlers, hijab-clad ladies, nuns and elderly women that have been victims of rape by dirty criminal rapists, how many of them have been indecently dressed according to you? Those fathers and family members that rape the female members of their families, were those victims also 'expired items' on sale that got 'patronised' by rape?

When you walk on the road and get mugged/robbed by thieves on the street we should also ask why you walked on the street, owned a phone or carried money that those criminals dispossessed you of abi? If you also get injured or killed in the process, we should then blame you for having a body to be injured or even being alive and available for killing right?

You all don't believe men get raped. I made I post about it and no single comment or share. but someone made about a woman and in few mins got 1k plus comments

Like I said, years and decades of work have been put into raising awareness up to this point in the fight for women against sexual violence. The same will need to happen to address sexual violence against men or boys and if you are so passionate about it, you have to put in the work and engage others too, not just think it will happen overnight or try to piggy-back on the years of work put in by others. Worse still, the perpetrators of these crimes against both males and females are mostly men so you see you have a lot of work to do.
Bottom line, stop enabling rape of women and girls! Sexual violence against men and boys is a separate conversation and you must be consistent in bringing it up on its own merits, not as an alternative to sexual violence against women; you cannot give up just after one thread/post and think you have done any work.

Politics / Re: Supreme Court Victory: Orji Uzor Kalu Reacts by freeze001(f): 12:56pm On May 08, 2020
Section396(7) of the Administration of Criminal K=Justice Act (ACJA) provides as follows:
'...notwithstanding the provision of any other law to the contrary, a Judge of the High Court who has been elevated to the Court of Appeal shall have dispensation to continue to sit as a High Court Judge only for the purpose of concluding any part-heard criminal matter pending before him at the time of his elevation and shall conclude the same within a reasonable time : Provided that this subsection shall not prevent him from assuming duty as a Justice of the Court of Appeal.”

The purpose of this provision is to cure the requirement of a matter to be tried afresh when a judge is elevated in order to save time. This is the current law today so why is the Supreme court relying on old, time-wasting provisions? The conviction is not quashed on the merits but on this issue already clearly addressed by statute?
hush15:

That will never happen! That move by either justice idris or fg who is the prosecuting counsel was either intentional or mere stupidity out of conflict of interest on the part of the judge. How can you judge a case as both a federal high court judge initially and then as an appeal judge later in during the same proceedings and hearings? When I first read the post on a different thread about the judgement, the first thing that ran through my mind is how come this guy appealed at supreme court straight? Where is the appeal court into his case? Only to realised a stupid judge and a prosecutor tried playing two judges, one man.

But looking at it a holistically, it was either a deliberate technical move to open way for Kalu or the Judge was just being stupid. Also the prosecuting counsel were just foolish and incompetent or compromised. Its just common sense cos even me that didn't study law understands this. At the end of it all, the case will just be reassigned to one that will acquit him or fg will no longer push the case for prosecution till the time of blackmail suffice again under this present regime.

Oh dear Lord! These demonic northerners will not remain at home and obey simple directives! Accomplished terrorists in all aspects, if not with physical arms, ammunition and animals, then with biological, infectious diseases! Edo government should organise a specialised, containment vehicle and dispose them back to Kano or wherever they came from! Now they have to start tracing the idiots that alighted at Okpella and Auchi!
Trigger-happy security agents will not do as usual now, if it is Southerners they will sharply kill and threaten to rape their mothers!

Nope. Just trying to teach you to face reality, deal with facts as they are and stop calling everything fake news just because it is not particularly favourable. With these confirmations from clear, unimpeachable sources, you are now forced to swallow your shallow assertions that people were churning out fake news due to hatred for the north. (Pride no go let you sha)

These reports have been coming out, rather than facing facts and criticizing the obvious lapses of the government whether at state or federal level, you either start playing ostrich by claiming that people are spreading falsehood because they hate the North or you engage in baseless comparisons with other tribes/regions. That makes absolutely no sense and keeps you completely irrational thereby losing objectivity.

Kano and Ganduje have not responded even remotely effectively to the COVID-19 situation and the outcome is yet to fully manifest.

Health / Re: 70% Of Medical Doctors In Kano Have Absconded - Analyst Reveals by freeze001(f): 9:40am On Apr 28, 2020
While serving as medical personnel, they have always complained about these issues hence the incessant strikes! That is why some of them go behind and open private practices further weakening the public health sector because they also need to make ends meet. Which money are you even referring to that they were rolling in? It certainly amounts to nothing when they are now exposed to a deadly virus like what we have today and there is no safety net.
Why do you think thousands of Nigerian doctors have left the shores of Nigeria to work abroad?

XANDERBOY85:

They didn't know all this when they signed up for the job abi?

When the going was good and they were coining in the money....no wahala! But the moment shi't hits the fan and they're called upon to live up to their oaths and save lives, all of a sudden they remember they have poor conditions of service and renumeration, and proceed to leg it like Usain Bolt!
Health / Re: 70% Of Medical Doctors In Kano Have Absconded - Analyst Reveals by freeze001(f): 9:36am On Apr 28, 2020
This is not the fault or failure of doctors. Remuneration and hazard pay is next to nothing; the state government is still in denial as to what is really going on; the state and federal governments are unable to keep the COVID-19 NCDC testing centre up and running, meaning tests are not being conducted so there is no way to figure what the heck is going on; medical practitioners are not provided with sufficient PPE, equipment and welfare rendering work conditions most unsuitable! None of these are in the hands of the medical doctors/practitioners to fix so can you really blame them?

Even the arrogant ones you refer to get away with such attitudes because of lack of monitoring and failure again by the government to provide basics, incompetence is overlooked while religion, nepotism/connections still play major roles! Once the environment is conducive for madness, it will thrive and the failed governments at all levels are responsible for providing and maintaining the right working environment!
XANDERBOY85:

My sentiments too! smiley

Greedy and arrogant Nigerian doctors think every day would be Christmas when they would be taking advantage of poor, vulnerable individuals! Now they've been called upon to live up to their hypocratic oath more than ever before, they've all scaled the back fence and gone AWOL! smiley

Politics / Re: 'I Never Knew,' SGF Shocked By Poor State Of Nigeria's Healthcare System Amid Co by freeze001(f): 10:41am On Apr 10, 2020
He is crazy but then are we surprised?
1. He and his family jet out of Nigeria at the slightest health inconvenience or maybe patronise the priciest private hospitals in Nigeria.

2. I am sure during their weekly Wednesday cabinet (FEC) meetings, they only come with lies as briefings that all is well in their various departments and ministries without presenting the true state of affairs; they deceive the dumb president as usual who naturally knows nothing abut governance beyond islam and cattle so they can in turn tell gullible Nigerians that all sectors have improved far more than during the '16 years of PDP'.

3. This clearly shows that there is no oversight and perhaps too much bureaucracy so that after submissions by ministers, there is an actual review/verification of facts; other appointees and staff are unable to penetrate the bureaucracy to report the parlous state of affairs - they are either blacked out or intimidated into silence. This feeds into the fraudulent 'all is well' narrative indicated in No 2.

4. Government officials including Buhari deliberately ignore reports in the news and public domain because for them, anything that looks bad or may make Buhari appear not to be performing is 'fake news' or 'lies from IPOB'. Most of their APC lackeys on this site and other social media platforms deploy this self-defeating flagellating method a lot! I wonder what they do with the yearly ranking of Human Development Index and other such records that consistently place Nigeria at the lowest rung especially for healthcare! They quickly 'debunk' as fake news, feign ignorance of parameters used or just put it in the bin as usual!

5. What does he think medical workers always go on strike for before they are intimidated back to work with threats of dismissal and 'no work, no pay'? Why does he think our medical personnel are making frantic efforts to leave Nigeria and work in other countries?

6. If state house hospital with all its advantages and proximity to the presidency cannot boast of basic medication and facilities as reported by none other than the First Lady, what would be the state of other public hospitals in all the states of the federation? They did not deem fit to take her words serious and embark on a thorough fact-finding, problem-solving mission because again, the statement of the first lady made Buhari look bad so rather than give credence to her words by taking action, they ignored everything as usual because they will simply fly off to US, Sweden, UK and co for 'regular' check-up and relaxation! If Abba Kyari's medical records had to be sought from a UK hospital despite feeding fat on public funds from Nigeria, what else is left?

GOD PUNISH UNA FOR DIA! More so if after this COVIK 1-9 has exposed y'all, you don't make drastic, positive changes when this siege is over! What the hell was the change Nigerians voted for? Idiots!

Bottom line is that he was infected with the virus and also infectious, it is likely he infected other persons with the virus and not his underlying ailments; some who get infected may not have any underlying issues or may be managing them successfully until this new invasive infection aggravates their existing issues and knocks them down or out! No need to downplay the severity of this virus...

You are also enjoying the good life and system there so stop sounding like women are better off in the bondage that Nigeria offers when men deliberately go a-cheating and still intimidate the woman into condoning and accepting bullshit because there is no support system or viable economic alternative plus general societal madness! If you had respected your vows ans kept your zipper closed, you would still be living happily with your wife and children! Will you say she was a bad or troublesome person? The fault is yours 100% so deal with it! If you like marry another woman, that is your headache!

She takes all the child benefit(money) the government gives our children.
She almost destroyed me here.

The truth is that she caught me..........and I apologized but the freedom, independence and money make most of Nigerian women to brake their Home and later live a lonely life.
I NEVER slap or abuse my wife, that is what God use to save me.

Just port and move on. No need to confront her cos the kitten is hers to do with as she pleases. As she obviously isn't game for any sexual encounter with you, it is good that you have discovered what appears to be a lie about her 'virgin' status. Even if you found other attractive traits other than her supposed 'virtuousness', you have already lost trust so no need to push, just let her go and you face ya work!

It is one thing to request or beg on a clean slate but Nigeria's case is more shameful and irritating because:
1. The minister of health stated categorically that Nigeria will not need more ventilators because COVID-19 cases in the country are mild and so far only one case had required a ventilator. Why then is the ministry of finance making this request? Where is the necessary collaboration b/w ministries to harmonise information and activities?
2. Contributions in billions of naira have been made; where are those funds?
3. Federal government elected legislators actually took delivery of luxury 2020 vehicles in the midst of this crises - the height of irresponsibility!
5. A local vehicle producer (Innoson) has offered to produce ventilators if relevant ministries contact them and place orders; have they even explored that option to determine the pros and cons before embarking on international begging?
