PhonesRe: Text Message Across Networks To Cost N4 - NCC by Frendys(m): 8:49am On Jan 25, 2013
The Operators would device a mean of extorting the "lost" money through the back door.

Imagine I called some people the other day but could not terminate the call on my handset after we had finished talking, while my unit was still reading. In the end I was charged for the extra time!

More regulations should be instituted, among which is mandating them to get listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange, through an IPO that is affordable and available to an average Nigerian.
PoliticsRe: Jonathan Will Lose 2015 Election — Asari Dokubo by Frendys(m): 8:26pm On Dec 15, 2012
A good name is better than riches or position.

GEJ should leave a lasting legacy for the people of South-South by ensuring that the East-West road project is completed.

Elder Orubebe and co should encourage GEJ to complete these roads and ensure power supply instead of focusing on 2nd term.

The West's economy is progressing but the Southern part is not moving well enough because of infrastural deficiency like road and electricity, amongst others. The North has gone further backward by about thirty years.

Develop South south before the end of this tenure. My little cent

CrimeRe: Police Lists Hot Spots For Ritual Killers by Frendys(m): 10:49am On Nov 06, 2012
So where are the special Police numbers to call in other parts of the list places or would the Policemen stationed in Lagos come to these areas by air or what?

The N.Police need to do more since they will rely mostly on info from the public to be effective. But info has to be sent to a responsible office/officer.

For instance, there is no specific number available to the pubic in Port Harcourt and its environs.

We can achieve more when we work together.

Thanks for those that have made some useful contributions about where these wicked ones operate.

No one ever doubt a man of proofs and real actions.

OBJ's record of consistent performance based on vision, dedication, passion and achievement at the local and international arena is speaking for him.

I rejoice with his new appointment.

Kings/Queens don't appoint a non-result oriented individuals to fill an office.

The hand of the diligent will always bear the rule over the non-performing ones!

Abuja-Lokoja Roads should receive priority attention

Also Kabba-Ayetoro Gbede-Egebe Road should receive priority attention. Our children are coming home with their friends from Europe and America for the first time. And they like our dear President, Goodluck Jonathan.

Let people be happy after the terrible flood disaster to see their loved ones this festive season! Give us light too.

God bless our leaders!
PoliticsRe: Cameroon Did No Wrong Flooding Nigeria – FG Official by Frendys(m): 11:11am On Nov 01, 2012
I wonder why no one has mentioned the several communication satelites Nigeria have in the sky. Or are they meant for decorating space?

From space we should be able to adequately monitor our environment in order to know and prepare for some unpleasant situtions like the flooded areas in the states. And possibly we can keep our eyes on our neighbouring states to monitor contrary moves that are not in our national interests.

Cameroun has done no wrong and they are really not obliged to inform us before closing their dams. Physical intelligence gathering via spacecrafts and our "humancrafts" should suffice.

Let's stop making excuses for what we could proactively manage!
Car TalkRe: Lets Talk About Car Airfreshners by Frendys(m): 2:19pm On Oct 31, 2012
You may never find any! Suprised?

From my observation, it is a general principle that air conditions take out any form of odours from a confined space and dries the place up. The A/C in your car considers the "freshner" as odour to be eliminated. And so it gets it eliminated, of course.

Am not an expert but this is what I have found out over time.

Consequently I no longer waste fund on the so called "Air Freshners."

However, it does work to an extent, in vehicles without A/Cs.

My one cent!
PoliticsRe: Fashola, Clerics To Tackle Noise Pollution In Lagos by Frendys(m): 3:09pm On Sep 24, 2012
"You cannot open mosques and churches in residential areas and disturb others; we can’t take that."- Mr Rasheed Shabi

So mosques and Churches should be located in the bush or what?

I relocated from Isolo to outside Lagos because of the unbearable noise pollution from local and foreign aircraft that fly over our area and the sound from Musical stores, generators and the various cries of Bus Conductors, yet nothing is being done about these noise(s).

Except for Mr. Shabi who may choose to worship "eboora" under some greeen trees in the bush, there is nothing wrong having churches and mosques in residential cum industrial areas in the cities, towns or villages. The only thing required is for the Lagos State Govt to liaise with these institutions to limit their message to their main audience within their places of worship without disturbing those outside.

I call this a pragmatic approach to solving a challenge: Relocate the Aiports from the city centre, ban musical studios from blarring musics or messages, educte conductors and provide 24hours electricity to the poeple.

When these measures are in place the religious leaders will begin to see the need to cooperate with the govt at reducing their noise level, which most people are not comfortable with.

God bless our President, Dr G. Jonathan!

The occupier of the office look good and fit for this beautiful office.

This is the first time I have seen a Nigerian Presideent in his office even though I was born late 60's.

I have been to many nations and have seen their States' houses but has never seen what the State House in Abuja looks like nor the office of the President.

May the Lord bless our President, fill him with wisdom and keep him safe at all time.
PoliticsRe: Senate Recommends Arik Air As National Carrier by Frendys(m): 12:56pm On Sep 20, 2012
Whatever is built on false foundation will not stand. Arik Air has defective foundation and should never be used as a precursor for a national carrier.

Recently a bridge that was built (not accross water but on solid land) as flyover in Port Harcourt collapsed because it was built on false foundation. You may wonder what is the connection between Arik Air and the collapse flyover in Port Harcourt? The reason is because the two have the same individuals that managed them: Arumeni and Odili, etc

The only sure way is to start a national carrier on clean foundation, like the Singapore Airlines, which rank among the best in the world.

However in this era of collapse of Airlines in Nigeria, the Federal Govt may choose to help consolidate Arik Air and Aero Contractors.

TV/MoviesStartime Off Air In The South East by Frendys(op): 9:46am On Jun 08, 2012
Startimes network has been down for about 48 hours now without the management giving any clue as to what is the matter. All their Customer Services telephone numbers have been switched off

Is this how to manage a company? no accountability or concern for the teeming customers?

And the regulatory authority will excuse them as usual. It's not thier fault though as DSTV has been overpriced and you can hardly get what you want from DSTV despite their extorbitant tarriff.

So far I have missed some TBN and Wrestling programmes. And by the way why is Setanta Africa no longer showlng wrestling?

No Startime signal in Port Harcourt and its environ. NCC please call Startime management to order. Let Startimes customers be compensated for the downtime period too.

Any one in the house with an insight to this development?

PoliticsRe: GEJ & FG Are Using My Remarks As A Cover To Arrest Me - Buhari by Frendys(m): 10:22am On May 16, 2012
Let our President, GEJ note and heed the advise our former President, OBJ gave sometimes ago about managing a politician aversed to change such as the late Adedidu: OBJ said "he should be managed because no one can change him." OBJ managed the man until he died peacefully and a fulfilled man.

Buhari is now in a similar position like the late Adedibu and as such GEJ should be magnanimous enough to manage him. Or how can one explain why a man at Buhari's age should be bent on destroying the nation through his unguarded utterances. A great man has control over what he says, is objective and promotes unity while using an appropriate forum to channel his greviances, however genuine or mundane.

All these things will pass but Nigeria will remain. And more united. For even evil happening has an end.
Christianity EtcRe: Private Christian Universities: Faith In Deception? by Frendys(m): 4:44pm On May 15, 2012
Your intention is wrong and short sighted. If at this stage of your life you have become articulate at undermining your institution openly then you will never see good in anyone or anything else. You are doomed because you have no sense of gratitude and value. Public institutions are no different or better.
You may come to realize later in life that the moral the institution wants you to imbibe will be a bonus to your life. Two of my family members who graduated from CU are highly placed in the US and Britain respectively and they value the foundation of Christian moral they received while in CU. And they are godly. No doubt every institution has its drawback.
The other OP “Muskeeto” that ‘knows all’ about his church’s finances, I only have pity for you. You can’t break the Church of Jesus Christ…you will be broken instead.
Please realize that the money for developing and maintaining the school comes from the tithes, donations and offerings of the church members and not from the federal government purse!
Every great institution has a humble beginning: A wise son will make his father proud.

PoliticsRe: Your Birthday Message To Obj by Frendys(m): 10:33am On Mar 05, 2012
Happy Birthday Sir. cheesy

To me you are the best among the lot, very exceptional. People may not understand you and what you have done as a leader but God does. And I do.

What people don't understand they criticize and what they do understand they destroy. Sure, you may have made some mistakes-and who hasn't- in the course of governance, but your love and passion for this country remain untainted.

My wife and daughter saw me cried when your wife, Stella died. In my family and among my colleagues, I talked passionately about you even thogh I have never met you in person or being in any function where you were present. But I recognized the grace of God upon your life: Two time leader, a courageous leader at home and abroad, an achiever and a man of uncommon vision!

May that same grace of God work in my life too. The rest of your life shall be the best of your life.

Happy birthday to a great man that God has blessed and lifted even in the midst of his enemies. grin

I am wondering when Atiku's pity party and day dreaming will end. embarassed

OBJ has always known his enemies and how to deal with them. He chose to make himself the enemy and is still bearing the brunt today.

Unfortunately whenever he takes a swipes at OBJ he always ends up being the loser. Wisdom dictates that when you are pursuing something and there is no hope of catching up with the thing it is better to retreat. OBJ and Atiku are miles apart forever.

Stop the pity party!
PoliticsRe: UK, Amnesty International Kick Against Nigeria’s Anti man-lover Law by Frendys(m): 10:52am On Dec 02, 2011
The passage of this bill is revealing the intents of the western countries and their hypocritical attitudes towards the African countries and Nigeria in particular.

This Bill is very dangerous indeed. This is predicated on the fact that many of these bigots in our midst will no longer have a conducive atmosphere to practise their illicit and unnatural acts. They now have the wherewhital to massively migrate to the UK and other once civilized but now barbaric countries. This anticipated migration is not good for their economy that is already weakened. But their migration is good for us in the country, because it is good riddance to bad rubbish! cool

Their opposition to the bill is thus understandable if it could viewed from this prism: The countries that promote these bigots will face untold hardships from the influx of these unnatural human beings and their associated practices that are inimical to any society they are found.

But their destruction and hypocrisy will be further compounded when these bigots, who are moving out in drove to their already battered economy, are refused entry visa. Then the world bodies and institutions will begin to condemn the UK and these crazy countries for not having enough reasons to refuse them entry. Even the Iranian President will laugh them to scorn. tongue

And unfortunately these evil countries continue to send their evil Ambassadors to Nigeria. I even remember a particular one who was opposed to our President, GEJ. But should our President accede to their request he will have to one day face God and ccount for his stewardship. Besides the people and the generation to come will judge him for the decision he takes at a time like this.

Every country has to protect and promote her own interest and Nigeria is no excemption! grin

Homosexuality will not take root in Nigeria. huh

You are still looking in the wrong direction as long as you are seeking ways to God in religion. All religions are man-made ways to finding their ways to God.

But I am glad to let you know that there is only one way to God, the Father and that way is through the Person of Jesus Christ. He Himself says: 'He is the way the truth and the life'.

You will never find God in religion!

Take the Bible and begin to read the word of God daily coupled with prayer that is directed to God through Jesus Christ. The Bible is the authentic manual from God to man. This way you will begin to really find God and the peace of God that passed all understanding will become yours.

I was religious and frustrated until I found out that Jesus Christ is the way to the Father's Kingdom to which I belong.

Religion will not sustain you in times of troubles like we have in the world today but Jesus Christ promisd to be with you till the end of time!

PoliticsRe: US Warship Leaves For Nigeria Today - Tribune by Frendys(m): 2:39pm On Nov 21, 2011
American can do crazy things atimes. Is it this kind of gift that we need for now? Do you know what it takes to maintain a modern war boat not to mention antiquated cruzer boat like this?

I weep for American and my beloved country Nigeria because the two do not really understand their needs in order of priority.

We need light and employment and other infrastructural rehabilititation including the roads, refineries and the textile industries in the North of Nigeria. Until these things are in place, Nigerians will continue to flock in their millions to the United States and other developed countries of the world. Amongst this flock will be the terrible ones that may not fit into that society creating problems for them and giving our country a bad image.

The most needful and immediate gifts to Nigeria now is in the area of electricity supply and revamping of moribound industries that would create jobs and dissuade the youths from seeking life outside the country by all means.

No doubt, security is very important but we need to tackle security with modern equipment and strategies. I do not think a war boat could be deployed to the Northern part of the country to tackle the Boko Haram menace. Modern intelligence gathering using sophisticated communication equipment will help.

'Dashing' the nation an old war boat is solely in the interest of America as a nation. It would be too expensive for us to operate and maintain the boat and I foresee it would be abandoned in no time.

Our leaders should learn to make the right requests and refuse to accept gifts that are really not in our best interest!
PoliticsRe: President Gej Not Convincing Enough In His Submissions ! by Frendys(m): 4:49pm On Nov 17, 2011
Only God alone understand the entity called Nigeria. And He is the one sustaining it!

America have predicted the fall of Nigeria several times yet we are waxing stronger not withstanding. American and other western economies are crumbling even though they have experts.

Once the evil genius, Gen Babangida admitted he didn't know how the economy of this nation is being sustained in the midst of massive looting and executive recklessness.

So, for our current President to foresee the collapse of our economy in months ahead is regretable. He should not be parroting the dooms-day prediction of these international rating agencies/bodies of which Mrs. Okonjo-Nweala is one of them. She is not the Messiah we need. Removal of subsidy is not the panacea to our economic problems.

Also it is not wise for Nigeria to go against the nation of Isreal.

For the record: Nigeria's economy will not collapse or fail. It will only collapse or fail when we neglect the God that has been sustaining us and refuse to use our God given resources wisely.
