well a lot can be benefited from the 69x since it is receiving on mp4 platform and it is also DVB-S,DVB-S2 compatible.
this means that more channels can be received with the box than the 63x.
in lokoja here it costs 18.5k but i learnt that in lagos it is just 16k.
i will suggest that you quickly take it back to where you got it and add some little money to get the 69x.
Ask the gurus here and you will be told in detail the benefits of the box over the one you have now.
My TV is even advertising that if you return the old one then with 4.5k you will get the 69x but you must have been on a 6 months nonstop subscription.

Also make sure that you are buying from an authorised dealer.

Ita a pity that you are just joining the forum now otherwise you have read somewhere that MY tv is upgrading to Mpeg4, this way you would have gone for a '69x.this is the most appealing mode of TX in DVB (In Naija).You would have more to enjoy with the 69x than the 69x. so if possible return it and add just a little money to obtain the 69x.
you can recharge( i know you mean renew your subscription ) your '63x.

1st of all LM tv is not part d infinity package,u just need an above 70% signal strenght on CRTV 4 it 2 pop green.as 4 sentanta which is part of infinity package,it is still under test Tx.

@Emeystan- I am using the normal DSTV/MYTV/ dish, guess 60cm with strong decoder srt4669x and the signal strength is about 63% for Infinity Tv, Joy TV 82%, CRTV 86% and GTV 66%

well even with my 2.4 mesh dish the signals are just above 58% for Multi tv and 68% for Crtv whilst Infinity is just 33-35%.
i guess i will have to go up there or rather bring it down and rescew the ku side of the setup, thanks all for the various words of advice and technical know how.

congrats,that is d spirit.to expand to more than 4 dishes u will need a diseqc 1.1 switch.this switch has more than 4 ports.i hv nt used it b4,i hope am right.

I got infinity at about 70%. It is even stronger than LTMtv at 66%. Try and improve you signal level. My CRTV is 98%. Although I use 90cm dish.
