If the Hausa/ fulani are out of the picture thats when uou will realise that the middlebelt people dont even consider you people. No middlebelter will agitate against one Nigeria, knowing how complex the region is.The reason why those currently pursing middlebelt freedom have not making any progress is because they made it seem like its a Christian struggle .Most of our Christians brothers in the middle belt are going alone they don't carry the Muslim middlebelters along in the struggle for a free middlebelt. They made it sound like middlebelt is a Christian thing whereas we are mixed with Muslims, pagans and Christians. Then people like you from the East that don't understand the makeup of the middlebelt keep trying come in to encourage this Christian thing. Middlebelt can only achieve 100% freedom if both Muslims, Christians and pagans in the region come together in the struggle. Note that middlebelter will never What makes it tough is the fact that alot of the Muslims middlebelter are married to the hausa/ Fulani so there is a strong overlap in culture and relationship. Not forgetting that there also Hausa and fulani people that are Christian minority in the core north and middle.
The issue of Gurrara state is the same with situation with other middle belt people asking for state , like Edu state in Niger, Apa state in Benue, Okura state in Kogi and other regions ,am sure when it's time to create new states Gurarra will definitely be granted and by the way Gurarra state will be a mixed state with both Christians, Muslims and pagans.
I suggest that you focus more on the Niger delta people whom seem to share alot and understand you better, so that you can encourage them to key into the Biafra project instead the middlebelt people.

There was a political party called United middlebelt congress since pre independent times created to champion the interests of the middlebelt people. It was on this platform that the first governor of old Benue-Plateau state was elected in 1967.
Middlebelt identity and agitation has been there for decades, just that that of Arewa seems to swallow it up sometimes.
The south only seems different because it is divided into 3 different voices, Igbo, Yoruba and Niger-delta, with none being the absolute majority, WHILE that of the North has the middlebelt as minority and Hausa-fulani led Arewa as a strong majority.

The University of Cambridge Local Examinations Syndicate, UCLES, now Cambridge Assessment, has provided further details on the West African School Certificate, WASC, results presented by Muhammadu Buhari, the candidate of the All Progressives Candidate in the February 14 presidential election.
In a new post on its website, the university confirmed result grades for the examination in 1961 were issued in numbers, not letters, as suggested by critics of Mr. Buhari who have dismissed the results he presented as fabricated.
According to Cambridge, “Examination results were classed in grades from 1 to 9”.
“1, 2,3,4,5 & 6 indicate a Pass with Credit; 7 & 8 indicate a Pass; 9 indicate a Failure,” the school said.
Results tendered by Mr. Buhari shows he had credits in English Language, Geography, Health Science, Hausa Language; failed in Mathematics and Woodwork, and had a pass in Literature in English.
In its post, Cambridge said for candidates to qualify for its certificate in 1961, they needed to pass English, and not necessarily Mathematics.
“To pass the School Certificate, candidates had to pass examinations in a variety of groups. It was compulsory to pass English Language, but not Maths, in order to gain the Certificate,” the university said.
The details followed intense controversy over whether Mr. Buhari, a former Head of State and retired Army General, completed his secondary education.

It is foolish for anyone to try and compare Kaduna state with Imo or Enugu or Plateau or Kano or Jigawa based on religious divide. Those who refuse to be mischievious know quite well that there has been controversy as to who is majority in Kaduna; is it the Christians or the Muslims? Now you cant contemplate that question in the states i initially listed cos it is clear to the blind, deaf and dumb which religion is majority. Now on Kaduna, it may interest people outside to note that the Hausa-Fulani elites rejected the 2006 population census figures cos they claimed it was skewed to show that Southern Kaduna People (with mainly Christian Population) are more than the Northern Kaduna People (with mainly Muslim Population). Now, during the 2006 population census, i know of many Christian dominated areas that were not even enumerated. The question any reasonable mind will ask is: Can a census be so skewed to the extent that the Southern Kaduna people are shown to be dominant in a state with a "tiny" number of Christians?

Let me quickly point out here that there are few Southern Kaduna people that are muslims and there are also few Hausa Fulani people that are Christians. Let me also point out that there are few Hausa-Fulani muslims living in Southern Kaduna and there are also Southern Kaduna Christians living in the northern part of Kaduna. Let me point out here too that "Southern Kaduna" is not the same as "Kaduna South Senatorial Zone". The former is larger than the latter.

Now, based on senatorial zones, there are 8LGs in the North, 7 in the Center and 8 in the South. Let me also state that the Southern Kaduna people (and consequently, Christians) dominate the 8LGs in the South and 2LGs in the Center making 10LGs that a Christian MUST win LGA or House of Assembly elections. Kaduna South LGA in the center is shared almost 50/50 between the two religions and so is Lere LGA in the North. Soooooo, if anyone tells you of Muslim dominating Kaduna that an unrepentant religious bigot like El rufai will claim they are just 30% in Kaduna, tell such a one he is a joker. The reason it becomes easy for a muslim to easily win Kaduna is cos during the military, the polling units were deliberately skewed to favour the Hausa Fulani people. Sooooo, with more polling units, whether the people come out to vote or not, they have more ballots to thumbprint "on their behalf" than the Southern Kaduna man will have. I will stop here but will do a more detailed analysis or the population of Kaduna based on religious and ethnic divide so i can point out why a MUSLIM-MUSLIM ticket is a big deal in a place like Kaduna. Argue with facts.

What he should have done since 1983 esp.in 2003 rather he chose to privaricate with the "my certificate are with the military secretary" excuse & kept on swearing affidavits up and down.
Meanwhile the fear of lawsuits must have forced him to do this stunt.
