The government lawyer(the prosecutor) will twist the stories to fit his or her narratives. It is up to the Defense attorney to poke holes in the prosecutor's charges. It is a battle. The prosecutor's job is to ensure that they are convicted. The Defense attorney's job is to counter him/her, provide legal counsel to Ekweremadu and arrange a plea deal for them if necessary. Some prosecutors can be very aggressive.

You don't understand the charge against them, the charge before the court says nothing about the boy being a minor, it says conspiracy to arrange/facilitate travel of another person (whether minor or adult) with a view to exploitation, namely organ harvesting. Read and understand the charge. Social media is talking trash about minor and consent, when the real issue is exploitation of the person even if he's 22 years old
