hes trying to distance APC from corrupt PDP. buhari is playing games.

FlordFlorez:
Did mr president really need to make that statement? Is he a president of APC members or Nigeria, im not understanding.
PoliticsRe: AfDB: President Buhari Pledges Support For Akinwumi Adesina by frog12: 9:02am On Jun 03, 2020
this man is talking rubbish. he took his unethical corrupt behaviour that are usually ignored in agric ministry to the AfDB. Only he didn't expect the other board members to keep silent. now he has thrown many of the presidents under the bus to support his bad behaviour and prevent americans and the europeans from controlling the AfDB. he's trying to be smart by the corners. he only continuing the stealing from jonathan's days. that's why buhari said i will support you even though you worked for PDP.

BusinessRe: Oil Production: $4 Per Barrel In Saudi Arabia, $3 In Russia, $21.2 In Nigeria by frog12: 4:26pm On Jun 02, 2020
so how much be your annual salary?
i hear they pay nnpc staffs millions every month.

COMPAQ:
Thanks for explaining to them! The Senate people who couldn't understand simple explanation are the idiots in all of this.

I work in the oil and gas sector. Let me try and also explain:

Security is indeed a big challenge. All tankers and rig, materials movement from logistics bases to the production facilities need to be escorted with security house boats. Even movement by land of oil staff to oil field locations have to be with security escort front and back, with mopol/soldiers. Imagine the huge cost of this per year. Are you telling me that in Saudi or Norway or Russia, they have the incur such costs? Nigeria is the kidnap, sea piracy capital of the world and people are suprised about the extar cost of security.

A number of our oil wells are quite old with depreciating production, which are expensive to keep going. Most of the new oil of the past 2 decades have been from deep offshore which is expensive.

Our production is mainly in swampy terrain with attendant difficulty in accessing it. Swamp rig costs more than land rig. This adds to costs. Middle East countries on the other hand drill for oil on firm land.

NNPC/NAPIMS themselves are a big problem. Because they pay their Cash call late, payments to vendors are always delayed. Because of this, vendors add a cash 'premium' to their cost to compensate for late payments, which drives up cost.

NNPC/NAPIMS themselves are another problem, because many of their top guys front for Nigerian companies that cannot do the job. The bid low to get the job, the frustrate the IOC's with non performance. Then they come with large variation to milk the IOC's. Instead of NAPIMS to weild the big hammer against them, they support them because the NAPIMS guy fronting for the contractor will get a cut. (Think PID).

Because Nigeria is so undeveloped and it's people so poor, they see oil company as their only source for wealth. Therefore the burden on oil companies to provide water, roads, bridges, medical care, electricity etc for communities is much higher than other countries. There is also bush entry, freedom to operate etc. Do you think they pay all these in Saudi, UAE, Norway and Russiahuh

Also NDDC contribution is 3% of any oil company budget. So if Chevron has a budget of $1.5bln for 2020, then NDDC contribution is $45mln is expected to be paid to NDDC. This impacts opex of oil companies. Does any major oil producing country have NDDChuh

There are still more reasons I can give, but I rest my case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PoliticsRe: DPR Paid 8 Billion Naira Salary Upfront In January - Premium Times by frog12: 7:55pm On May 29, 2020
now you see why these doctors they go on strike. these dpr staffs dey get millionaires.

kafeii123:
We are our own enemies in the country...

DPR staff deserves the pay they get currently, but Nigeria's staff in other areas of the economy also deserve something similar. I mean, why do the staff in Nigerian hospitals get a hazard allowance of only 5k per month...? and even now that some states paid 15 -25k recently, they only did it for about a month or two.

And we all know that the country is not at a lack of resources to pay these salaries.... given the spate of humongous lootings we're all witnessing especially in this period.

Moreoever, despite the jumbo pay, many of these guys still do dirty deals here and there.... else, why do filling stations still shortsell fuel to people while they look the other way?

It's better to harmonize the pay across he various sectors...let people go for them because they have the passion and are competent, not because of greed.... It will help everyone do their jobs better

this is how it starts. they go deny am but behind the scenes, i believe they don ask am to resign. we'll wait a few more days, then you go here that he don resign. adesina too thinks we dey stupidhuh see the trouble he start. now trouble be dis. why he wan do what sanusi did at cbn and claim him be sainthuh?

The issue is raising so much dust that I doubt this man will ever survive this. Even if he does, so many questions will be left unanswered. And thus, affects the integrity of the institution.

na true ooo.

Hoephase:
This is a typical example of what happens when you don't keep your affairs in order.

When will Africa learn, soon not only US will dictate what the banks does China will start openly pulling her weight soon given how much indebted Africa is to the Chinese.

If African leaders don't get their houses in order we are going to witness Berlin conference version 2 in our own very life time.

tell us more of chinelo and her stay at pencom.

LastProphet:
One thing Adeshina has shown if nothing else is admirable dexterity at manipulating others. Nothing stops him from manipulating that committee that's what the issue is. You said none of the allegations was about money but what about some of the questionable awards of contracts? There were supplies that were flagged by internal control yet he approved their payment. What about engaging Chinelo Amazu who still faces shameful corrupt charges over her time at pencom of which I'm very very informed? ADB doesn't employ such people how did that happen? I have the actual petition that most have not seen and it's worse than the one you refer to. NL has no way of uploading PDFs otherwise would have put it here. Cronyism is one of the worst form of corruption and he's guilty of that one to start with. Nothing has messed this country up like that and we are here defending it. I insiders in ADB say it's worse than the allegations take it from me
