chei ! you think our students were smart then? do you think many could get A3 on English then? those O level results were good enough for those times. yes, you can not dream of approaching UI with that type of result in today's environment because they are many students for the school to accept. so they make the standards stricter and harder. in those days, anyone that wanted to study was allowed. even a pepper seller. i don't have to be alive then to even tell you that. you should know after looking at Gowon or murtala or tafewa balewa's videos. they didn't have to disqualify obaseki because he provide more documents than was asked for. Sheggy13: Yes, you're right.. I was born in the 80s as you rightly deduced.. Well, I'm just surprised the standard during my time was higher than it was in your time especially how our parents used to brag about how education was more standard and tough then.. No one can dream of approaching a school like UI for admission in my time with the type of O'Level result Obaseki got. That is what got me more astounded. At the end of it all, everything is politics.. We the masses are just being played. Thanks for your time Sir. |
Politics › Re: Real Reason Governor Obaseki Was Disqualified - Sahara Reporters by frog12: 5:55pm On Jun 14, 2020 |
so you are admitting you were born in the 80s. then go and ask others what methods the universities allowed. UI already said he attended and graduated, so they have no problem with his studies or how he was admitted. there's no beating around the bush here. the school said they have no problem with obaseki! it means they allowed him as a student using their admission methods. no illegality there. that story is finished. many of the people in NASS were the students that used to arrange their chairs to seat next to the smart students during exams. i was in a class like that. they are the ones that used to cheat. but we are not questioning how they pass. we only care if they have the diploma. people learn and become smarter as they grow older! is professor ayuba the vice chancellor of UI?? is he the education minister Sheggy13: I asked you a simple question, you refused to answer.. You are beating about the bush.. Tell me how your "smart" student Obaseki finished in UI in 3 years without Direct entry.. You were talking about people finishing earlier than the duration of their programme.. I asked you to give me example of such people that finished from a Nigerian University like UI, you haven't.. I'd really love to learn from you Sir since you're obviously older than me and more familiar with University education in Nigeria in the 70s than I am. |
Politics › Re: Real Reason Governor Obaseki Was Disqualified - Sahara Reporters by frog12: 5:37pm On Jun 14, 2020 |
since you know nigerian university better. please tell us if direct entry dey in the 1970s then. also tell us if you were born in the 1970s. and also tell us which department professor ayuba is with. and with bursary/admissions department he is with. Sheggy13: You said Obaseki can go to court and win but he chose not to do that. He isn't a fool.. He knows towing that path would spell more doom for him and expose other things that's why he didn't do that. So you're more knowledge about the Nigerian University system than Professor Ayuba? |
Politics › Re: Real Reason Governor Obaseki Was Disqualified - Sahara Reporters by frog12: 5:13pm On Jun 14, 2020 |
wait. this was in the 1970s when standards were impressive! were you even born then? this is not inec or apc issue. its a matter for ui. as far as they are concerned, he met their requirements and graduated. this is the issue with nigeria, people that sell pepper are telling you if your education credentials are fake or not. while they never even went to school. professor ayuba or wetin he called himself, doesnt know what is fake. all he has to do is question the credibility of the credentials, and allow the candidate to answer and respond, and provide attestation from the granting schools. he has no right to disqualify. obaseki can go to court and he will win!. this is just gutter politics! Sheggy13: Don't make me laugh.. How do you meet the requirements of graduating from a programme in 3 years in a Nigerian University when the one of the main requirements is that you pass all necessary courses in 4 years? Educate me please how this miracle happens. |

wait. this was in the 1970s when standards were impressive! were you even born then? you are telling me by reading, studying hard, you cannot do better? fahfahfoh! in my science class, we had smart students, i beat them on chemistry midterm, they were all surprised. that was because i studied hard and prepared for the exam. Sheggy13: You're a clown.. Smart student that only made 3 O'Level credits and could only graduate with Second Class Lower.. What an oxymoron? Do you know what it means to address a student as smart?.. So much for smartness.
People around the world.. That it is done around the world does not mean UI automatically did/does it too. |

wait. this was in the 1970s when standards were impressive! were you even born then? ernieboy: admitting a student with 3 credits is questionable unless there is something we don't know, maybe hsc or something. |

why should they answer you there are smart students.. some may fail today, some may pass tomorrow. havent you heard of people around the world that finish their university in short times? i know some. ernieboy: I think univ of ibadan has some questions to answer with regards to how he graduated in three years and with 3 credits |

look at yourself. did ui even have direct entry those times? did he meet the programme's requirement in 3 years and they allowed him to graduate? Sheggy13: I actually thought UI was different among Nigerian institutions and had risen to a stage manipulations like this can't take place. This Obaseki saga really exposed them. Imagine admitting someone into a BA programme without a credit pass in English Language and with just only 3 credits O'Level. He was also made to graduate in 3 years for a 4-year programme when he didnt get in through Direct entry.. Such a shame to UI. First it was ABU with that of Dino Melaye and now UI. |
Politics › Re: Real Reason Governor Obaseki Was Disqualified - Sahara Reporters by frog12: 1:06pm On Jun 14, 2020 |
the A levels or hsc doesnt matter what matters is the UI degreee or minimum Secondary school leaving certificate. those form 6 was the hsc. then they stopped form 6. DeRay98: That's up to UI to explain because the system was stricter then than now. I never collected my primary school certificate before entering secondary school, I only had my primary school testimonial which wasn't the certificate at all and before I collect it though reluctantly after many years, the school's Headteacher's office caught fire and got burnt down. Secondly, if he didn't have any proof of it then, he should have been rusticated in final year for failure to meet the requirements for direct entry then. He did beat UI or UI was negligent? His only sin is not having any proof to show for his Hsc or A level now. It's up to UI to explain how he met their requirements and graduated because his name is also in the graduands list for the year he graduated. |

how you graduated does not matter. these people are just joking around and obstructing who they want to obstruct. wetin concern these people if he used O/levels to finish a 3-year programme? maybe na connection they give am or special entrance. they do it to some people in those days |

so you dey say obaseki never do anything for edo? no. only a foolish judge will disqualify him for this. he can always get NYSC to correct the name mistake. HSC is a different matter. UI accepted it and he graduated, so there's no problem there. APC guys are not smart. obaseki goes to court, he wins! EmmaOgbu: He does not have plan B. If he wins in other party, house of assembly or court will disqualify him base on the same thing APC disqualified him for.
So, you see no plan B |
