I have often said that Nigerians deserve their leaders. You deserve to get a bad leader if you fail to ensure that the right leaders are voted in.
One way to ensure the right leaders are voted in is to create an unchangeable system where potential political leaders thoroughly and comprehensively debate important issue such as economy, jobs, security, human rights, religion and religious rights, citizenship and residency, among others. That is how it is done anywhere in the world with some sanity in the polity. Anyone remember Obama versus McCain or Trump versus Clinton? Tough debates, where people are informed about what to expect from their leaders.

I dare say that CURSED be any Nigerian who votes for a president and a governor without any debate among the candidates. Nigerians are smart people, but we should exhibit that smartness in politics to move our country forward.

Am from the west but honestly i would have been surprised if Atiku had pick his VP candidate from SW. He has done what is right and i can assure the Easterners that in this battle, You will never walk alone. Atiku/Obi ticket is not to redeem the east alone but Nigeria. East deserves this more than the West because if not for the SE/SS there wont be any PDP again in the first place.
