Do you know the meaning of ‘forestall’? I answered you based on your choice of word. Maybe you meant to say was “..what is the government doing to assist in…” and not forestall. Government can’t forestall thunderstorm, earthquake, tsunami, tornadoes and so fort.

Your question was “What is the government putting in place to forestall a reoccurence?”.
NEMA and relief agencies are not a preventive organization. If you are looking at ways to prevent/forestall future disaster, maybe you should talk to scientists and climate change experts. There are many of them in the west and yet their cities are continuously pulverized year in year out.

It is Nature! They just have to empower NEMA and disaster relief agency to be more ready. That’s all. You can’t fight nature.

I disagree! One thing with economics and finance is that there are so many ways to solve the same problem. Since everyone is dumping the Naira to purchase USD; then creating artificial scarcity with lenders liquidity is one way to arrest the Naira free fall.
That’s why in Economics we are faced with so much advantages and disadvantages of some economic terms.

Not that I believe him in this scenario but it’s possible money flows in and you won’t know until you are told. Their are situations where credit and debit alert comes in so frequently that you loose track. Reason many employ accountants and special assistants.

The bike model...has an extension cord that powers the controls, ..that harden the pedals...or soften it.
The activity display screen, has inbuilt battery's in some other models...but this particular model...is activated like a threadmill. its primary source of power is electricity.

So thiefnubuu handlers goofed BIG TIME...stop trying to justify nonsense.

So how did you know the bike model if I may ask? Care to share?
Because I can see the red knob at the middle which closely looks like the one I use over here that acts as gear. It has gear 1,2,3,4 and the 4th is the hardest.

The wire can mean anything like I described above. I am not holding brief for anyone, but sometimes we have to say things as it is and I don’t care if it pleases or hurts anyone.
So many gym bikes I have used both in Nigeria and outside does not use electricity. Even Elliptic machines, some treadmills as well. Majority of them are designed as mechanical to electricity.

I don’t know if you are joking or serious. Because I myself who visit the gym and uses this type of bike never used electricity with it.
What I can do is connect to pods, video and usb. Never seen one of this connected to electricity.
Once you start rolling, the electronics automatically powers on; Mechanical energy to Electrical energy.

Driving in one way is bad but each case should be judged by law courts, there are instances where the driver will require mental evaluation, car siezed, driver jailed etc.

but don't come out with weird ass laws, events are different and each must be looked at differently.
should u be caught on one way and no other significant event associated, a fine not exceeding minimum wage should suffice. fining ppl above minimum wage is barbaric and cruel

You don’t dictate what law a state or country should adopt.
In China, if you are charged and found guilty of corruption, it is instant death.
In Singapore, if you are caught in possession of a certain amount of drugs it is instant death.
In different states in US, they have varying punishments for same offense.
In Lagos, if you are caught driving one way, you risk forfeiting your vehicle.
Drive one way in Ogun and maybe get a fine or something, drive one way in Lagos and you lose your car. Simple as that.
Don’t go to those countries or cities and flaunting their laws because you feel ‘it’s draconian’.
