There are gully erosions all over that state. In fact the one in Ideato North and South area are massive and unbelievable and dated back since God knows when. Successive governments have come and gone, all from various parties and have done little or nothing to avail the situation.
Its a federal government project but one must lias with the central to get their attention. OBJ, Yaradua, GEJ, and now Buhari all ignoring the plights of SE to gully erosions. Its unfortunate.

Wonder will never end. So I traveled to my country home with my parents in Delta State. The other day, was going to the farm with my grandmother. There I saw it. A disaster waiting to happen. What tickled my fancy was the fact that the electric pole is right in the middle of tbhe town. not some far away forest.

Furthermore, there is usually this annual maintenance programme by whichever agency is in charge. How come they have been missing this?

That an important electricity facility like this one can be ignored speaks volume about our mentality as a people.

Here, calling on bloggers and the various news agencies to publicise this till it gets to the authorities in charge.

Two of Nigeria's biggest problem are media and lack of education. I don't know where the media got the information that Nigeria and China were at the same level of development ten years ago. Well I don't blame the media since they know that an average Nigeria is not knowledgeable. Is it not absurb comparing Nigeria with China? Ten years ago China was already on his way to taking over from Japan as the world second largest economy.China finally became the second largest economy in 2010 .In addition to that, China is one of the world's oldest civilizations,and for that matter, the only surviving one. China invented many of the things we make use of today such as paper, printing, compass and gunpowder. China was the first true modern state with the world first modern civil service whose bureaucrats were recruited on the basis of imperial examinations. This happened more than 1500 years ago. Even in economic terms, Beijing, the capital city of China produces a much higher GDP than Nigeria.So,it is foolish for anybody to have remarked that Nigeria was at level of China's economic development ten years ago. Nigeria is a backward country with little prospect, based on our history, for economic development. The media houses are just fooling Nigerians because the owners of these organizations are politicians. We are historically backward which led to us not creating a successful civilizations based on inventions and the use of a written languages. We didn't document our history leading to the loss of some of the little achievements our forefathers made. Until and unless we find enough courage to address the issue of our historical backwardness, we will continue to move in cycle.
