Russia has huge reserves of distillates.

Russia has moved it's energy sector away from Europe to Asia and is building refineries and pipelines to service China.

Trump is desperate for diesel prices to come down before the midterms and also note that US refineries operating at full capacity is dangerous as it just takes one scheduled maintenance or breakdown to shut the refineries down.

I wrote here a few days back that crude prices are not reflecting the removal of over 20% of global supplies due to the closure of the straits because of cutting Russia distillates from the global market.

US and Western Refineries are operating at 100% capacity owning largely to the blockade of the straits preventing Gulf refined products from being lifted.

Add the terrorist bombing by Zekensky on Russian refineries , the world has seen a major drop in distillates.

Refineries that would have placed order for crude are not able to do so due to the fact that they are operating at full capacity.

I stated that Dangote refinery is moving to expand its production out put at its Lagos refinery from 600k bpd to over a million bps and is moving to construct refineries in Kenya and Tanzania.

The reason for Dangote expanding production comes down to Russian refineries being bombed and Gulf refineries being blockaded from selling their refined products.

Trump getting Russia to supply US refined distillates (diesel) is towards crashing diesel prices in the US ahead of the midterms.

A land worth #4bn prior to 2023 is by all inflationary trends worth at least 4 times it's original cost.

Funnily, majority of the places they have been claiming to be part of their territory, representatives of those people was present and they bluntly denied them.

Benue and Taraba were once under Southern Nigerian Protectorate but when the British wanted to create Western and Eastern Nigeria, the people of these provinces opted to join the north because they said they could not stand being in the same region with the Ibo as majority.

Western Cameroun expressed their displeasure as well including all minority people but the British brushed them aside

Out of all four regions(Northern, Western, Eastern and Lagos colony) created out of the two protectorates, Eastern region was the most restive from Inception as every other people's wanted out.

The British only obliged the people of Benue and Taraba and later Western Cameroun.

The minority people in the coastal provinces did not relent to have their own region (COR region) but Ibo majority in Enugu refused their calls for a referendum on the matter. It is then that are now crying for referendum to leave Nigeria

The minority people took their plight to the Federal level after all means to get one at Enugu fell on deaf ears .

In western Nigeria, Ibadan voted overwhelmingly to allow for a referendum for the creation of Midwestern region despite Yorubas being the majority.

The majority had it on good conscience that they will be hypocritical to have fought for independence from the British only to deny their fellow Africans their own self rule agitation.

A Yoruba man even moved the motion in Ibadan which was immediately supported by a majority voice vote.

But in Enugu , every attempt by the minority people to get COR region was shut down by the Ibo majority.

The minorities took their matter to the Federal parliament and had secured the overwhelming support from Northern, Western and Midwestern MPs.

This is why they activated their minions in the army to truncate our democracy and abolish regions and from there place themselves as supreme dictators in a centrist autocratic quasi military regime.

The reason for Ojukwu declaring Biafra was because Gowon had finally granted minority people their own states (Old Rivers and old Cross Rivers).

Achebe wrote that Gowon declaring states for minority people was the darkest day in Ibo Eastern Nigeria.

And when Gowon finally liberated minority people from their genocidal grip, that is when the fight in then evaporated because there was nothing left to be proud of in a landlocked Biafra.

That is when Azikiwe began supporting one Nigeria and called on Gowon to liberate what was left of his Eastern Nigeria from Ojukwu's tyranny and unite it back to Nigeria.
