I may have mocked some groups in the past, when my group was attacked, indeed that was not right. However, after I toned that and attacked the leaders, people took that as an assault on their ethnic group. Case in point, my issue with Awolowo. I do not have a favorable opinion of Awolowo, but many of you Awoist took that as an attack on your people. There is a problem when you see people as the epitome of your ethnic group.

And I was only using anecdotal evidence. I do not consider my group superior to others. I have said time and time against that I respect the culture Yoruba and I am fan of your history and artwork. Don't see how I can be an ethnocentrist with such views. I even said I was admired by the fervour of Uthman dan Fodio as he created the Sokoto Caliphate. He was a leader who turned a backwards tribe into a powerhouse in West Africa.

Concerning the Ngwa, they are not an ethnic group, it is a fellow Igbo clan. There are clan rivalries that exist, so I would not consider them a separate ethnic group, because we are the same people. My clan used to be bitter enemies with the Ngwa, that is why I may have said some disparaging remarks. You still hear people saying that you cannot marry from that clan, because of such and such happened in the past.

Never have I said Igbos are superior to anyone. If you proof have back that I said that, please show me. I would be a fool to think my people are better than another people. It is un-Igbo to think that way, due to our egalitarian nature.

I am a proud Igbo man. Nothing more and nothing less. And I look through Igbo lens, because that is how I was raised, as an Igbo

Yr arguments are nt strong, are u of the opinion that Achebe is better than the Nobel award, when he has gone for interviews conducted by the panel? Soyinka had a 3rd class from a Nigerian University, but he is a literary genius. If you think plays are easy try writing act 1 scene 1. Or why do you think Ahakespeare is revered?? Please let us not kid ourselves, Achebe is a good writer, but there are better writers all over the world.

As for whom your mum is married to, I careless and do not wish to know, my point is you are not Nigerian and have no maral right to dish out hateful comments based on prejudiced bedtime stories you claim your step dad told you about a country you have never visited or have any practical experience of her people co-existence.

Besides, who cares about how many "virtual NL females" that likes you on cyberspace, like that's the real deal, the fact is whether you decide to make copious amount of post in every goddamn thread to be noticed or liked by "NL virtual females", nobody is competing with you for such frivolous tittle. The fact you even indulge in such shows that you need to get a real life outside of the bandwidth of NL, how childish! Finally, I wont even give you the pleasure of arguing Nigeria with you cos you know nada, continue ranting with the half-truths and distortion your Step dad wiki and google feed you with but the fact remain, that no matter how much you claim to be or know about the yoruba tribe, I know them more than you do and I am more yoruba than you can ever be even if your next step father is a yoruba Oba.
