Mrakeli: Human Rights activist, Chief Mike Ozekhome has appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to release the former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki who has been granted bail six times by different courts.
Ozekhome, in a letter to Buhari on Thursday tagged, “President Muhammadu Buhari, Please, Release Col. Sambo Dasuki in God’s Name”, insists Dasuki has not been convicted by any court of law to have warranted the long detention since December 2015.
Ozekhome, making references to the various bails including the one by ECOWAS Court, said a situation where government picks court order is dangerous.
He said, “We are having the dangerous situation where this government picks and chooses which orders to obey or disobey, an anarchical situation.
“The same government has so far refused to obey several orders for the release of the Shittes leader, El-Zakzaki. This is clearly against constitutionalism and the Rule of Law.”
The legal luminary further pleaded with the President to give Dasuki a lifeline by releasing him on bail.
“Mr President sir, in the name of almighty Allah, the Supreme God we all serve, let Dasuki go home on bail. Give him a breather. He has a family, friends and dependants to care for. He has not yet been convicted by any court of law.
“He is still presumed innocent under section 36 of the Nigerian Constitution.
“Give him a lifeline. Help us build strong institutions, not strong men. I appeal to you sir, on my bended kneels. Let the milk of human kindness flow in you. Seek ye not vengeance. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but give place unto wrath; for it is written, vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord (Romans 12:19).
“The Rule of law doctrine theorises, amongst others, that: all people and institutions are subject to and accountable to law, the principle of government of law.
“The rule of law means that no person or government is above the law; that there is restriction of arbitrary exercise of power by subordinating it to well-defined and established laws. It means that no person however highly placed, is above the law, whether law makers, law enforcement officials, judges or persons in government”.

Politics › Re: Ekiti Election: INEC Dares Olusola Eleka To Head For Court by fuke(m): 10:55am On Jul 17, 2018 |
Ekiti360: Ekiti State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in last Saturday’s election got yesterday a reply to his threat to challenge the result in court.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the supervisor of the poll, told Prof. Kolapo Olusola –Eleka to head for the election tribunal. All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate Kayode Fayemi won the election, which was widely adjudged to be free and fair.
Also yesterday, Ekit State Governor Ayodele Fayose faulted the outcome of the poll.
Fayose described Fayiemi’s victory as temporary, adding that it would be upturned at the tribunal.
He alleged that nobody was rejoicing in the state, asking why people were not celebrating if the result reflected the will of the people.
Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, was in a carnival mood on Sunday when Fayemi’s motorcade from his Isan home drove slowly to the APC’s secretariat, where he addressed a huge crowd of dancing and singing party supporters and residents.
APC National Chairman Adams Oshiomhole said the ruling party was celebrating the outcome of the election because “under President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, we now can see that election can be conducted without people being hospitalised or some finding their way to the grave because they have been killed in the process.”
INEC insisted that the result of the election was a reflection of the will of the people.
The agency’s Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Mr. Wole Osaze-Uzzi, said: “INEC welcomes the decision of Prof. Eleka to go to the tribunal on the outcome of the governorship election. That is the proper thing to do.
“Legal process is a better resort than making inciting statements and engaging in media trial. We welcome judicial intervention on disputes arising from the election. Just like in the case of Edo State, it is left to Eleka to prove his case before the tribunal.”
Osaze-Uzzi rated the outcome of the election as “good and a fair reflection of the will of the people of Ekiti State”. “Even international and local observers rated the conduct of the poll as good,” he said, adding:
“We have been receiving preliminary reports from the accredited Civil Society Organisations (CSOs). Most of those in the so-called Coalition of Civil Society Groups were not accredited for the poll by INEC.
“The materials and logistics were on spot and accreditation of voters started as and when due in more than 92 per cent of the polling units.”
Responding to a question, Osaze-Uzzi said: “INEC is yet to have a post-mortem session on the poll but we have received oral briefing from some of our National Commissioners and others on ground.
“Certainly, we will hold a post-mortem meeting when all officials are fully back.”
Fayose said Buhari’s endorsement of the poll he described as a “charade” showed that the President lacked democratic credentials.

I swear there was no rigging in this election.
I also swear that there was no visible violence.
I affirm that money was used by both parties, yes real money. Some voters got as much as 10k.

The Director of Eleka campaign organisation is a brother and he was all over the place in Efon on Saturday and nobody Molested him let alone arrest him. If anybody of value was going to be harassed, it should this guy.
Yes, there was heavy police presence. 4 in my polling unit but by and large they were very civil and I even gave drink money to some of them .
Nigerians, this is the truth and nothing but the truth.
In Ekiti, if all results are in and you are leading without Ikere and Ado, pls do not jubilate. The two could turn the tide and these two PDP won. The moment Ado and Ikere figure came in in the evening and Fayose realised the difference could not save the day he attacked and criticised the election in social media and went to the broadcasting station to announce a fake result.
Why did he not discredit the election when he voted earlier?.
The truth is, PDP lost for these reasons. 1. Fayemi matched them Naira for Naira unlike 2014
2.The Ekiti elites especially from outside decided to remove Fayose by all means not because of lack of performance per say but the fact that he was becoming a political nuisance disgracing us everywhere. Many came home to mobilise for APC.
3.Fayose’s brashness, greed and arrogance which made real politicians like Olamide Oni, Senators Rasaki, Adeyeye deserted him especially Adeyeye. Adeyeyes people voted Fayemi not becuase they liked him but because they hated Fayose for treating Adeyeye with disdain. The 5000 difference in vote in Adeyeyes local government was significant in this election.
Let it be known that 80% of civil servants and teachers voted PDP and this cannot be reasonably explained. These are the people being owned 9 months salary. When you ask them they tell you a person owing is better than a person sacking. My friend teacher and his two wives with 5 children voted PDP and these were votes that should reasonably and logically go to APC. Fayose’s supporters are fanatical and cult-like.
Like my barrister friend said, Fayose is a political phenomenon and students of political science may need to study his art of politics.
Very tactical and streetwise, thinking miles ahead of his opponents but he fouls the political space with his actions and utterances These added to his non-performance, galls Ekiti elite.. The totality of these combined together to pull him down.

BiafranBushBoy: Have ye not heard? The reason you aren’t making so much money is that you don’t have any high paying skills in demand. Companies, CEO, and MDs are looking for skilful people to help them execute tasks.
The economy of Nigeria is gradually leaving the Certificate-based way of employment and now focusing on skill sets. There are basically two ways now to get a job in Nigeria;
1. Knowing someone to help you 2.Helping yourself
As long as you don’t have someone to help you get a job or make money, you should then help yourself by having any of the high paying skills that are highly in demand.
Do you know that as big as America is, there is still a very high demand for Web Developers? What then can we say of Nigeria that is still playing catch up?
I will list 5 high paying skills that you can learn in 3 months and start making money
https://topwritersden.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/high-paying-skills-in-Nigeria.jpg
Web Development
Just last week I studied the wide gap between the demand and supply of this high paying skill, and I found a great deficit. The demand for professional Web Developers outweighed the supply it got – don’t bother asking why because I will explain.
Majority of Developers in Nigeria prefer to work on their own than getting employed in a company. This has left a huge deficit, making Developers handle several jobs at a stretch – while other certificate oriented graduates are begging for jobs.
The good news is that once you register here to become a Web Developer, it will take you just 3 months to become a professional. Once you are done, you’ll welcome yourself to a world of financial dependency. This is one Information Technology skill that has made under-21s in Nigeria millionaires. The question is what are you waiting for?
If you are in Lagos, you can become a Web Developer by visiting this place.
Digital Marketing
The last time I decided to work for people as a Digital Marketer, I ended up handling the online marketing campaign for 3 firms at a go. Nothing beats the fact that you can work on your own and under your own conditions. This is one interesting Information Technology area that can land you a job even outside Nigeria.
The good news about learning Digital Marketing is that you can work for others, and still work for yourself simultaneously. It is even more profitable when you work for yourself full-time. This high paying skill can be learnt just within 2 months; but for the sake of becoming a professional and knowing the secrets behind carrying out successful online marketing campaigns, it tends to span into 3 months of fun learning.
Graphic Design
Unless you are living in the 80’s, then you probably shouldn’t see this as a lucrative skill to learn. Every company, individual, and organization, needs a graphic designer to help in all aspect of their lives.
Graphics Design has been seen as one of the most lucrative skills on freelancing sites. Once you are able to master this skill within 3 months, you are already on your way to becoming a millionaire – if you work so hard.
There are several lucrative packages under graphics designing, and it is one of the high paying skills that will make you so much money. If you are in Lagos, you can become a Graphics Designer by visiting the blog and registering for the class.
Amazon Kindle Writing
So many times, I see young people who have writing ability but can’t transform it into a money-spinning venture. The main reason for this is lack of knowledge; as long as you don’t have the idea that you as a writer can make money from Amazon publishing, you will end up making peanuts as a writer.
Writers on Amazon can make about $300 monthly as a source of lifetime income – and this has the potential of increasing to about $500 within 3 months.
These are the simple steps to make money from Amazon
Register on Amazon Kindle Fill out the necessary information Attach the necessary extensions that will help you carry out your job Write your book and publish.
You can join my class on how to make money on Amazon Kindle by visiting this page
All of the above requires some technicalities to it, that is why you need a mentor. You can get some secrets from me by checking this page, and I will be sure to help and mentor you all along.
As long as you have any of these high paying skills in Nigeria, you can make money as fast as possible without stress. If you are ready, then you need to just take action as fast as possible.
Any of these skills you wish to learn can be done by visiting the blog link below.
Source: http://topwritersden.com/high-paying-skill-in-nigeria/ Please stop fooling people. There is no way you can write and make money on Amazon in Nigeria. As soon as you get to register for how to get paid you will need to get USA TIN and you will be blocked straight away with Nigeria IP. If you use Ip changer, your account will be blocked as soon as this is discovered. What is the essense. The only way is if you have somebody in the states with Amazon account and you write using the account. Or you already have a bank acoount in USA and you now reside in Nigeria. I would like to be proven wrong. To be sure some Nigerians make piles of dollar but they have to have USA bank accounts. Bishop Oyedepo has more than 100 books an amazon. If you have a legit way to register with Amazonkndle as a Nigeria pls put it here. Otherwise stop sendle people after shadows |

ivandragon: Melaye: BBC staff picked, handcuffed
•How medical doctors, patients, others were arrested at hospital, taken into detention •BBC staff also picked, handcuffed •Journalists ordered not to bring phones or communication gadgets out of their pockets
Imagine being handcuffed by the police like a hardened criminal and taken into detention for several hours for treating a patient in a medical facility where you work as a doctor! Your only ‘offence’ against the law enforcement agents is that you attended to a patient! This was the case of some medical doctors at Zankli Hospital Abuja last Tuesday, April 24,2018.
The doctors were in their professional best to save the life of a senator, Dino Melaye, representing Kogi West Senatorial District at the Senate, who was brought into the hospital probably unconscious, following blockade of a police Hilux van conveying him to Lokoja, Kogi State and his subsequent removal by a mob of supporters opposed to the police action.
Besides the two doctors who were arrested, dragged into a waiting vehicle and handcuffed while being moved into detention facilities, patients and their relatives as well as their sympathizers, who were seen sitting outside the hospital premises around 2:35pm when a contingent of police stormed there in over 30 operational vehicles, were not spared. They were all rounded up and forced into some of the vehicles.
Journalists who had converged at the hospital to gather reports after learning that the senator was moved there for treatment, were not spared either. They were forcefully led out with an order not to bring their communication gadgets like mobile phones out of their pockets for recording or be shot by the police personnel led by the FCT Commissioner of Police, Mr Sadiq Bello.
A British Broadcasting Corporation, BBC’s driver, who had conveyed one of their reporters, Miss Dooshima Abu, to the hospital to cover event at the hospital was also picked. It took spirited efforts by journalists who approached the Force Public Relations Officer, Jimoh Moshood, for possible intervention before the young man was unchained from seven others and set free. The hospital later confirmed that those arrested within their premises including their doctors had been released.
The unconscious senator who was on drip at the amenity ward of the hospital was forcefully detached, taken into a waiting police ambulance marked NPF 221 D to the National Hospital Abuja around 9:20 pm.
The journey of the senator to the hospital had begun around 7 am earlier in the day, when he turned himself to the operatives of the Nigeria Police, drawn from its Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, who had laid siege to his Maitama, Abuja house after being prevented from traveling to Morocco at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, by men of the Nigerian Immigration Service at the airport.
He was being taken to Lokoja Command of the Nigeria Police Force but the police plan was foiled by some people, possibly the senator’s supporters and some passers-by who were drawn to the shout of the senator struggling against the movement around the Area 1 Round About of the Federal Capital Territory.
Contrary to the claim that Melaye jumped out from a moving vehicle, while being taken to Lokoja, the senator was dragged out of a police Hilux van conveying him to the Kogi State capital, after the people blocked the police team and forcefully took him out of their grip during which he became unconscious in the process. “At the Area One Roundabout, people heard a man in the police vehicle shouting for help. The people were moved at the development and blocked the Police and in the process, forcefully pulled him out of the police vehicle, “Peter Babayemi, one of the passers-by had told newsmen who rushed to the scene of the incident.
According to him, their attention was drawn to the lawmaker’s plea for help, and immediately the SARS vehicle was surrounded by a sea of passers-by. He added that the operatives were overwhelmed by the number of passers-by and abandoned Melaye and drove off to avoid being lynched.
Babayemi said: “What happened was that we were at the Area One roundabout when we saw the SARS vehicle carrying someone. We saw the person struggling and shouting on top of his voice. So, many people now gathered to see what was happening.
Senator Dino Meleye : Policemen barricaded Senator Dino Meleye House at Maitama When we looked close, we saw it was Dino Melaye.
“Immediately, we started shouting that we know this man. Since some of us had read the news about what was happening to him, we said we won’t allow them take him anywhere. That was how we rescued him from them and they drove away when people became too many.”
The police team who had abandoned Melaye in the hands of the crowd later got wind of his whereabouts .
Journalists rushed immediately to the Zankli Hospital, at the Mabuchi District of the FCT, where he was taken to. It was at this point that the police team got wind of the development and stormed there in a commando style, and started arresting anyone on sight.
The several truckloads of stern-looking policemen barricaded the hospital’s entrance. The Police men drawn from the FCT Command flooded the premises, and conducted intensive search on vehicles entering and making their exit from the hospital.
The insistence of the police authority to have Melaye paraded at its Kogi State Command and subsequent arraignment in court in the state has raised some questions.
Recall that the criminal case instituted by the Nigeria Police against Senator Dino Melaye, Mohammed Audu, and two others has been transferred out of the Lokoja Federal High Court Division to the Abuja division of the court following Melaye’s application and alarm that his life was not safe in Kogi.
Recall also that when the case came up for mentioning last Thursday, the Prosecuting Counsel, G.O Ojo said he was ready to move the exparte motion requesting that the case be brought forward from the initial May 10 it was slated for.
His argument was premised on the fact that since the two suspects who indicted Dino in gun running, Kabiru Seidu (a.k.a Osama) and Nuhu Salisu (a.k.a Small) who had earlier escaped from police custody have been re-arrested, the case should commence immediately .
However, the presiding judge, Justice Phoebe Ayua had ruled against him, saying that she ought to have been notified of the new development on the case.
What will be the action of the court in the face of the police insistence on having the senator arraigned in court and possibly tried in Kogi State, instead of the Abuja court where his case has been moved to? What is the interest of the police in the having him arraigned in Kogi instead of Abuja? Melaye had alleged that the governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello was after his life.
Phone calls to the spokesman of the police to comment on this matter were not answered. There no responses to text messages too.
