'@ to you GEJ men Come Saturday, The North will show you the depth of their political sophistication. They told you they do not mind their Govs, their reps, their senators but they do not want this president. After Jumat on Friday the table will turn. |
@Lagos Boy Your analysis is correct but factor in these points. Many still didn't come out to vote thinking that it would be rigging as usual. Many didn't come out because they were boasting of unleashing their goons on the people. Many were disenfranchised. My wife and daughter couldn't get card and they are Ac. Influence of money. PDP people were carrying money all over the place and this had some effect even as many collected without voting for them. No, Akala will not win this election. By 2015 PDP would have gone for ever in Yoruba land. They do not belong here. |

We're here for the elections and not for verbal assaults. Again, be gentlemen and sheathe your swords.
I am on all fours with you. You can make your point without being vulgar. As a self proclaimed elder here( I am 57) I say enough of the verbal wars. Otherwise, I will order Seun to bring the duo to my house in Ibadan for 12 strokes of my cane each. Brothers, enough of this war, let us see where these results take us. |
@saibuhari It is not about Seun, It is about Nigeria. Believe me internet literacy in Nigeria is very poor. And for the students who are internet literate, most waste their time on social portals like Facebook, tweeter. The second problem is that the internet friendly networks like starcom do not work outside the big cities. I know they do not operate in Ekiti and if you use other networks you will die of frustration, I was in Ado Ekiti the other day, I could not access my mail and nairaland. I stormed out of the cafe in annoyance. I wonder how they survive. You see it is about this change we are talking about. Let the sweet results keep coming. |
@ Lagos Nairalanders. You guys can do better than this. Hook up to the news channels and get us the results here. Confirmed reports pls. |
@ Beaf. Please go and comment on the results being released and stop using the brain God has given you negatively. Gej may be a good man but he hasn't gotten what we need now in a leader and Nigerians are speaking. In any case, no matter how good you are , in PDP you get corrupted. The way they transformed Engineer Killa, an urbane gentleman, an Engineer of international repute to a Gun tooting senator still baffles me. Sai BB |
Posting from Papa Adogba, Monatan area Ibadan Peaceful here. Accreditation completed and voting had started. Turn out like last week even though some names could not be found. We barricaded the two entrances to the area against vehicular movement. We do this so that we can quickly take our ballot box when the PDP hoodlums arrive as we heard they have been terrorizing Monatan and Iwo Road Area. I wonder where the soldiers are. Verdict. So far here 80% |
@ Posters Please let us know where you are posting from. This makes it more meaningful |
Let him come home. he never looked like a boxer to me. |
Odunnu:You didn't get the point. Those people you mentioned do not own Nairaland. Seun does. And that puts a lot of responsibility on him. If I were him I will vote my conscience but keep my opinions to myself. |
Seun is right to have his political inclination but to use his platform so one sided and so brazenly as he has been doing on this GEJ/Buhari issue is unethical. Most, if not all times he puts his one sided opinions on lead threads. Nairalanders, If GEJ wins, you should expect Seun in Aso Rocks as special Assistant on Internet or IT or one jagajaga portfolio |
@ sammhi and Buhari Boys, Come to Ibadan and celebrate with me when Buhari takes over on May 29. I admire the man for his principle. Changing the VP now wold have cost him the presidency. The same people who advised him would have turned round to accuse him of spinelessness. Anyway, an advise from OBj to Buhari now is like drinking Gallic. @ Beaf. You have finally found your voice. What is your take on your IGs order that we should not take phones to polling boots. An order that has been sent to where it belongs, the trash bin. |
This is a strategy to reduce the support for Buhari in the North and give GEJ a chance. IBB is not a progressive. |
Beaf where are you? See the kind of people you are defending with all your intelligence. I am sure this will make you sick from inside. A shallow mind giving an order that can not be enforced. Some cameras can shoot from quite a distance. If I want to talk on my phone I do not have to do it at the boot. Yeye people |
My People, There is absolutely no excuse for the delporable level of her English. Her degree cofirms the perilous state of our education which her party PDP had compounded in the last 12 years. Uniport shame on you. She should stop speaking extempore and use the pool of speech writers at as Rock. |
For where? This does not represent what is on the ground. The elites whom Thisday must have interviewed do not do the voting, the poor people do. And these are the people thronging to receive Buhari everywhere. |
So how come 95% of nigeria's leaders do not qualify as good looking yet they control all the dough and also the ugliest men usually end up with the most beautiful women. Are they using juju.
I like your question. Most times the answer is money. An average Nigerian girl will sacrifice intellect and good looks for money. In politics, especially in PDP where integrity has no place it is money and thuggery, |
@Beaf and Pharaoh. It appears you guys have a very bad product to sell and your opponents are overwhelming. If I were one of them I will add another question. What is he president doing about his wife's "my husband and Vice President Sambo is a gentle men" English? |
Guys, I need a Ford Ecoline 250 for pupils shuttle. jidolconsul005@yahoo.com 08034241050 |
This is goodluck to Goodluck Jonathan. That was my fear about this Bakare and preachers turned Politicians. They think they have the same leverage in politics as they have in their churches. Here, there is no religious immunity. We will put all his speeches under the microscopic. Buhari better warns Bakare if he wants to be president. The vote in the SW is too big for any politician to toy with. And for now, when Tinubu talks we listen. As for Bakare, he will soon find out that nobody in this presentation goes into a press war against Tinubu and and comes out the same. Something tells me, Bakare will be the devil for Buhari. |
@Ima Niboro you guys no de shame to lie? Competence my foot. !2 years of PDP, 4 of those with GEJ either No I or No 2. Nairalanders, see what Ima Nirobo calls competence. 1.3000 megawatts of electricity for 150million people. South Africa generates more than 10,000. More darkness than light. 2. Massive youth unemployment. 4 jobless graduates in a family. 3 25-30%lending rate. 4.Bombs here and there. 5#12.5m in a middle level civil servant acct. Corruption unlimited. 6. Oppression of opposing voices(arrest of North elders forum) 7.Ogun State house of assembly shot for this long. Murdering democracy 8.Arm twisting of judiciary aka Salami and arrest of Sokoto Guber judgement. 9 Boko Haram, Niger Dellta and Jos. 10. One step forward two steps backward in education. And so o and so on. I bet your candidates cannot even defeat me in a debate, |
asorocker:ObJ sure had his Igbo chaps only how they used this connection may be different. Emeka Ofor is one of them. One of the Ubas who almost single handedly impeached a governor is another . These two held the whole country to ransom and almost brought down their state which made Achebe turned down the national honor . Nwayawun of Champion Newspaper is another ObJ boy. Sure the Igbos have their fare share of OBJ. The truth is, Dangote never really started to be a wealthy man until he started manufacturing. You cannot get to the level he is if all you do is buying and selling. When the machines are humming, the dollars roll in. |
I need an Ibadan based webmaster proficient on word press to mentor me. Anybody on board? Contact me on 08034241050 |
How I wish there is a way for ACN and CPC to work together. It will surely be a walk over for a candidate so produced. These leeches called PDP have to be kicked out by all means. |
mbulela:Spot on. Whoever argues with this should have his head examined. For this country to move forward civil service has to be at least halved and professionalized. They are worse than the police, at least we see the police working. I was in an office the other day. There were 10 of them there and 9 were sleeping. They stink. none of my children would apply for civil service work. |
Balderdash |
If the north wants a president in 2011 by all means. They have a choice rather than resorting to violence. They still have Buhari, They still have Ribadu. Atiku , Babu I beg o, I have a Chartered Accountant son there. |
This is ridiculous. one law for the bigs and another for the smalls. We are in trouble. The other time when Buhari changed notes, 35 suit cases miraculously passed through the Lagos airport under Major Jokolo.s nose. Now Jonatha. who do we trust? |
Nairalanders, this is absolute nonsense. This thread should be removed. Acts like this will reduce the credibility of the forum. |
I want to submit some articles to ezine but I do not know how to do the linking. somebody help me out |
goggs:I have some issues here. 1. january 10th to February !st or 4th do not amount to 2 weeks. It is more like 3 or 4. 2. Registration can be done without closing schools. INEC can source their desks anywhere. They have the fund. In any case community leaders can provide the furniture for free. I for one will oblige them 3. Now, if thugs go on rampage , what is the police doing. Another Nigerian style, avoiding responsibility and push it somewhere else. Path of least resistance. 4, If the children are in school they are saver than roaming the streets . Or you will put them under house arrest b/c of registration. 5. Now do not tell me about labour the NYSC are there. 6. I say we are a lazy lot. 3 weeks needless holidays is a colossal waste. (a) Cost of paying the teachers to the economy (b) The time of millions of children wasted. (c) social cost. Idle hands devils workshop. (d) loss of revenue for industries servicing educational sector. And so on and so on. No great country gives holidays like this. Go to Japan , they work like clocks and they live longer. I insist, Useless leaders luckless country. |
And WASCE will hold in Febryuary. Useless leaders, unlucky Country. For this, Jonathan has shown again he is visionless and has lost 7 votes to Buhari or Ribadu. Neither of these would have given these useless holidays. What a waste. |
