Why so much security for Eto e In Nigeria. Who allowed them in? Or are they Nigerians? |

Ridiculous charges. The man will come out clean. EFCC left the elephant to chase a mouse. |
The ambassador broke an important rule. He loved his wife more than himself and he will rue this for ever. I want to add that some women are worse than Jezebel. This woman is certainly one. |
The federal Government should allow eah state to pay according to prevailing condition. In a federation you cannot enforce this kind of thing unless you enforce many other factorers. Now, the truth is that some states cannot pay this wage with what they get from the center. Ekiti and Oyo for example will be axphixiated to death if they do. If oyo uses all her allocation to pay the wage, it will still not be enough. I am not against good pay but let people work for their money. The civil sevice is overbloated . It should be reduced by about 70%. Before I am crucified, I know what I am saying. I was in an office the other da,y 9 out of 10 there were sleeping. The tenth person was dozing. There is a guy here in a fed ministry. He resumes work on Tuesdaty and travel again on Thursday. Things cannot continue like this. If an ailment needs a sugical operation, you go for the scapel, not tablets. |
You know at times, I think Akalas performane is not too bad compared to other PDP governors. I think he is much better than OGD and Oni in Ekiti state. I have live in Ibadan for more than 40 years and I am from Ekiti, so I should know what I am saying. The road to my house which I have been living in Ibadan for more than 20 years was not tarred until last year and I heard the Teaching hospital is enormous. Akalas major problem is packaging. He dresses like a motor pack kingpin. He fights everybody, He talks anyhow. Now, even if you were Awolowo you will lose election. He just had to go. Anyway a member of Asiwaju Team is here. An omoluabi is here. Ibadan will rise again |
Koolking:I agree with you. Sickening, repelling, nauseating, filthy, sordid, Madness. I suggest threads like this do not have a place here |
A1 is a pass in WASCE, So also is a C6. Both will give you a place in a higher institution. Fashola is an A1* in his class. No controversy. Bad belle people can go and hang. |
@ Posters Please note that until very recently Adeseun was a PDP guy. He read the political barometer properly and switches allegiance. He still has PDP blood in him and thinks the typical PDP. By the time he sits with The Tinubus. The Akandes, The Aregbesolas, The Fashola, his orientation will change and will no more shoot his mouth anyhow. For now he is talking for PDP. Hear what Ojudu said in Ekiti. He said the Pay is too much. He derided what they call constituency allowance which he says is usurping the field of the executive. By and large we will get there |
@ Lekky 2: |
No bank will take survey plan. Pursue your c of o quickly. Meanwhile try coops but not money lenders. You may also talk to rich individuals to sponsor the project and share the profit. As long as it is feasible, there are Nigerian who will take it up. But first of all have a tet a tet with your banker, he may offer some useful advise. |
30 million is ridiculously high. The politicians and civil servants are killing us. |
Good ridance to Bad Rubbish. I am so Proud to be a Yoruba man |
keeeem:Red=Akalamagbo wonder. ACN cannot lose Ibadan SW. The Ijebus live their and they are awoists. Ajimobi will have a big margin of Victory there. Welcome, my new Governor. |
I live in Ibadan. There are conflicting reports. In fact both sides are celebrating. pls let somebody confirm the source of this Akala lost story |
I opened m laptop this morning to read this. As a fathe, I felt sick from inside. Those who killed this beautiful boy will never know peace. Southerners should know that the only way to stop this is reprisals. As a poster said, let us start with their top ones. May this boys soul rest in peace. |
@posters. There is a big problem in kano. My son who works with a big conglomerate has just found his way to army barracks. Please pray for him |
@posters I am a Buhari supporter. This is arrant nonsense, by and large the election was free and fair. In Lagos, I know die hard ACN who voted GEJ. CPC should stop this stupidity, Nigerians have spoken. |
@posters Kudos to them. That is what education does to a mind. Al hope is not lost. Nigeria will surely rise. |
@Beaf. You are a comedian. |
PhysicsMHD:Yes, great article. Surprised that some cannot see the relevance of this piece when some near useless topics like "A kiss B" have taken ample space here. People cannot see the lesson in a poor woman struggling to raise a medic governor and a university VC (iron clad determination) They cannot see lesson in a woman changing trade so as to meet the training bills.(tenacity) They cannot see any lesson in a 10 year old deciding at that age what he would be and attaining it.(commitment and perseverance) They did not see a lesson in making a promise to buy his granny a car and actually fulfilling it.(responsibility and fate keeping) They cannot see a lesson in an 80 old saluting the greatness off her husband All that said, they cannot see the fun intended in water pouring aspect(humor as an elixir) This article is a mater piece. Honestly, at times, I wish there are ways to screen the academic qualifications and IQ of some posters here. |
dazangel11:Reviving rail infrastructure? Wao. When other countries are using electric trains that move at about 100mph. You are now praising GEJ for bringing 1943 used coaches from China or wherever. If anything, what you call the rail revival is a big minus. For that GEJ scores a miserable E |
jmaine:No there will be no bombs. As my friend said in an earlier post, we do not throw bombs At the Jumat we will simply tell then vote Buhari. On Saturday the north will vote en-block, Buhari. Sai BB |
@ Nairalanders Please let us leave Dapolam alone for now. I think he is bold and he has doe noble to come here and talk to us. Kudos to him on that. Question. How many of the others can come here and face the fire the guy faced? Request. somebody please bring madam re-branding here to defend what happened in her senatorial district |
'@ to you GEJ men Come Saturday, The North will show you the depth of their political sophistication. They told you they do not mind their Govs, their reps, their senators but they do not want this president. After Jumat on Friday the table will turn. |
@Lagos Boy Your analysis is correct but factor in these points. Many still didn't come out to vote thinking that it would be rigging as usual. Many didn't come out because they were boasting of unleashing their goons on the people. Many were disenfranchised. My wife and daughter couldn't get card and they are Ac. Influence of money. PDP people were carrying money all over the place and this had some effect even as many collected without voting for them. No, Akala will not win this election. By 2015 PDP would have gone for ever in Yoruba land. They do not belong here. |

We're here for the elections and not for verbal assaults. Again, be gentlemen and sheathe your swords.
I am on all fours with you. You can make your point without being vulgar. As a self proclaimed elder here( I am 57) I say enough of the verbal wars. Otherwise, I will order Seun to bring the duo to my house in Ibadan for 12 strokes of my cane each. Brothers, enough of this war, let us see where these results take us. |
@saibuhari It is not about Seun, It is about Nigeria. Believe me internet literacy in Nigeria is very poor. And for the students who are internet literate, most waste their time on social portals like Facebook, tweeter. The second problem is that the internet friendly networks like starcom do not work outside the big cities. I know they do not operate in Ekiti and if you use other networks you will die of frustration, I was in Ado Ekiti the other day, I could not access my mail and nairaland. I stormed out of the cafe in annoyance. I wonder how they survive. You see it is about this change we are talking about. Let the sweet results keep coming. |
@ Lagos Nairalanders. You guys can do better than this. Hook up to the news channels and get us the results here. Confirmed reports pls. |
@ Beaf. Please go and comment on the results being released and stop using the brain God has given you negatively. Gej may be a good man but he hasn't gotten what we need now in a leader and Nigerians are speaking. In any case, no matter how good you are , in PDP you get corrupted. The way they transformed Engineer Killa, an urbane gentleman, an Engineer of international repute to a Gun tooting senator still baffles me. Sai BB |
Posting from Papa Adogba, Monatan area Ibadan Peaceful here. Accreditation completed and voting had started. Turn out like last week even though some names could not be found. We barricaded the two entrances to the area against vehicular movement. We do this so that we can quickly take our ballot box when the PDP hoodlums arrive as we heard they have been terrorizing Monatan and Iwo Road Area. I wonder where the soldiers are. Verdict. So far here 80% |
