Azy123: IMO, I would say you should get her passport in her married name. Afterall, you have a marriage certificate from a registry. Just do a court affidavit and newspaper publication. The court affidavit will even show the date she got married to you. I got my own court affidavit 2 years after my marriage. For consistency also, just get her passport in her married name. The dates on the documents and children's birth cert don't matter afterall she started using your surname after she got married to you and your marriage certificate covers that. Like I said this is my opinion 3 Likes |

@lawland I didn't claim points from my partner. He got a letter from his school stating that the medium of instruction was in English. We also uploaded his certificates and transcripts of both his undergraduate and postgraduate. In addition to these we uploaded his ielts result which was almost 3 years old (which according to the website should not be more than 12 months prior). So really, I can't say which one the CO was ok with as he didn't request for any additional doc regarding this. I know people have gotten by with just letter from school without writing English test when not claiming points. |

catchdwind4rmkd: IMO, I would say wait a few days after your medicals so that they would have uploaded it. In fact have everything ready before you apply just incase this your "speedy" anointing follows you and your file gets picked up fast, to avoid CO contact. I have seen on expatforum where some people had gone for their medicals but it hadn't yet been uploaded and got CO contact. 2 Likes 1 Share |

@zanyzara I wrote my first pte on the 12th of October. On the 17th of October, i got this exact mail you received. On the 20th of October, my result came out. I can't say it was negative, it all depends on the points you are seeking. I had them all above 79 except speaking which was 71. I don't think a delay in any way predicts the outcome of the result. All the best. |

@iceberg54 We thank God ooo. Visa Lodged.... All documents frontloaded except pcc uk. Still expecting it. I want to ask ooo. Do we need to attach expired passport also or just the current passport. Cos the current passport is fresh, it's the expired passport that have visas, etc. Secondly, are we to scan and attach pages with visas, stamps, etc. Thanx. Anyone in the house can also help with this. Thanx all. |

Happy New Month Everyone.... May this month bring us and ours all our heart desires. God will cause us to win and laugh all through the month. @chidike...congrats bro..welcome to the visa gang 2017 @vinsmuft...really sorry about your result. IMO and from research i did then when I was seriously considering a remark, I'll say you should just let it be. I was able to find only one person from a forum (I don't remember now) who actually had a rescore for just one point too. He said in a few hours, he got the exact same results. I'll advise you do more research into the speaking section and retake the test instead. A few tips I used to improve my score was that I didn't correct myself even when I said something wrong, ensure you give a conclusion at the end of every diagram. Those were the few things I did differently the second time..I wish you the best @bnimz....am soooooo happy. Am dancing for joy. Congratulations in advance ooo. @mamajaz....it's good to have you back. It is well ma'am.. 4 Likes |

@aceblazer EA requires you get a minimum of 6 points in each of the four modules. You can go ahead with your assessment of you meet this requirement. I also had 10 points from ielts when i did my assessment with EA. I later wrote the pte to get the maximum points. In other words, do not waste any more time, get assessed with your current 10 points while you prepare to get 20 points needed for eoi. I hope i have been able to answer your query. 1 Like |
