Maybe I didn’t term it well but I have my reasons for tagging her as such. I really don’t want to name it here cos I don’t want to remember her death, it breaks my heart. |

blackmantis: You have to take charge.....
It has to know you are in charge.
For me... when my dog starts acting up. I chain it short and with a good cane or wire beat it very well. I will walk past it several times where it is chained and if it doesn't lower it's head when I walk past...na another beating be dat.
One on one these dogs are stronger than us that's why firm discipline must start early Lol....you are wicked o. Sometimes ehn, the look on my dog’s face during beating use to break my heart. See me feeling guilty, so I don’t normally go beyond 2 strokes. |

Ishilove: Dog Lovers, Please I Need Advise On My Rott's Naughty Behavior
I have a one and a half year old Rottweiler named Gift and I don't understand him anymore. We can't chastise him again when he misbehaves because he bares his teeth and growls menacingly at us if we try to spank him for being naughty. He welcomes us when we come home like any loyal, loving pet, but yesterday he shocked me. Usually as we are about to enter the house he playfully holds one foot down so we can't enter, or he jumps on you and hugs you tight so you can't move. When I got back from work yesterday I was exhausted and I didn't have energy for his play so I hugged him briefly but as I entered the house I mistakenly stepped on his right hindpaw.
He howled, left me, and lunged at me, this time to bite me. He actually narrowly missed my arm.
I was mad. I turned and yelled "Gift are you mad?" He bared his fangs and barked at me. Me sef I bared my teeth at him and ordered him to stand down. He growled, me sef I growled back. Do you know this dog kept advancing menacingly at me and barking? I quickly borrowed myself brain and locked the door. Werey dog.
I can't shoo Matilda, my chicken in his presence. He covers her with his body and warns me away. And now, the most perplexing thing is he now marking every where in the compound. My sib came visiting and before he entered the house, he quickly relieved himself outside because he was very pressed. Do you know Gift went to where the dude urinated and peed on top? It has gotten so bad now that Gift entered the house and marked different sections of the corridor and smaller dining area with pee.
Now, I don't know if this is classic Rott behavior or if he is just being indisciplined. I confess we spoilt him a bit because he is such a sweet animal when he is not misbehaving.
How do we discipline a dog that has grown wings? He is well socialised so it's not a case of too much isolation. Dogs know good and bad. The way we trained our Caucasian dog , if she does anything good,I spoil her silly . If she does bad , I will carry a cane which I always keep on the roof of her cage and call her name. Once she sees me with the cane I will tell her to go to her cage, normal level, she knows she will chop cane die. So ,she will carry me to run round the compound, the moment my eye change she will enter her cage and go to the extreme end and fold up. At that moment, I will tell her what she did and spank her, funny enough I don’t spank her beyond two soft strokes to remind her that we own her and she must obey us.Most times I carry whatever she destroys to her face while I spank her. In terms of pooing in restricted places, I willl take her there and show her then spank her there. I will then release her to her cage where she will go and reflect on her wrong doings. Most of them, she never repeated after that treatment. We lost her recently and I cried like a human being died. She was a companion and a friend, a dog with the heart of a child. She could sense emotions (pain and happiness) |

vezycash: Context
My old man is a pastor in RCCG. They threw him to one bush, a rented place. He bought two plots of land WITH HIS OWN MONEY from a failed pure water factor. The plot with the pure water factory building was refitted for the church.
Shortly after that, they started pestering him to hand over the title. A few weeks after he signed it over, they transfered him to another dump.
They put his junior in this new church and made the place area head quarters.
He almost left the church.
He bought another for this new church HIS OWN MONEY AGAIN. And started a massive building. My mom reminded him. So he bought another place and built a church the same size as the first church.
Again as soon as he signed it over... Transfer.
This time, he was sent to a big church. I don't go to his church. But from his conversations on the phone, niggas want his post.
That's redeem.
Another church 15-20 years ago. Similar story but less money sunk. He'd be sent to a dead branch. He'd grow the member base and next thing - transfer.
If the society is made up of bigots, churches will be filled with bigots.
Just remembered one Igbo dominated church, Assemblies of God church.
It wasn't any better than the Yoruba dominated churches.
Same scheming, back biting, theft of church funds, fake prophecies & deceit by both pastors and church members,... Honestly, you have said nothing but the truth. I am a member of the second church you stated and I have seen it happen many times. My mum carries the church on her head . The one that pained me to my marrow was after returning from NYSC everyone did like they didn’t know me , I no even send until one Sunday when I entered church and saw one woman smiling and coming towards my direction after praying. As soon as I sat up, the woman passed me a piece of paper where an amount of money was written with my name on it. I asked her what the paper and money was for and she said it’s the amount shared amongst the youth of the church for one thing like that. My eye changed immediately, I asked her if she knew when I left the church and returned from NYSC and now they are billing me. Did anybody give me market to sell for them:.......Karamo |

baiyoo: The first contributive answer so far. But pls, my advice is even if most of what you see or hear about this pastors is not okay with you, just do the right thing that your mind dictates but do not join mouth to judge or insult these pastors. Christ is the only perfect being that ever existed. I also don't like 3 things that happens in my church, but I made sure it doesn't keep me from doing the right thing. I also give my tithes and offering to the needy. I read from the Bible in Deuteronomy 26 from verse 12 that tithe should be given to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless and the widow. Why do pastors not state this in church |

I saw the video on Instagram and I found out that the time frame between the first and last picture is just 4 months. It’s really painful how a promising girl will be rendered useless because of hard drugs and prostitution. Even her voice and composure changed alongside , you could notice how saggy her breast looks in the third pics. I just pray she will be taken to rehab soon cos you can’t just die without someone doing something over it |

Honestly, I am not a member of Deeper life but I can say that they are really doing well. I got caught up in this lockdown and I had to stay with a close family . Since the lockdown started, the church has been supplying its members with foodstuffs, like last week was the second time they came with raw rice, beans , garri and dried fish. I am in shock My family church has never tried it. It begs the question, why can’t the church cater for its most vulnerable members in times of need. The number of tithes and offering paid to the church and yet no help is given to poor members. |

IamgratefulLord: Hmmmm.... I went for an interview as a teacher in a very big school in Gwarinpa, Abuja. (Expensive) I live in kuje, on the day of the interview I left my house by 6am in the morning and got to the school at about 7.30am. The interview was for 8 a.m. Na so the proprietress come tell me to write application letter, write another letter about how I encountered Jesus, write a lesson note on Computer softwares ( System and application softwares) , then do teaching practice. After that na so the madam come interview me. I was there till 5pm. I passed the exams, did well with the lesson notes, and also the oral interview. Time to tell me my salary, the madam said that she would pay me 40k. My ears went deaf for about 2 minutes, I kept saying sorry... Sorry... Sorry... As if I didn't understand what she said. I told her thank you and left. When I got home I said to myself: why slave for someone and earn that peanut!! 40k ? Most Private school owners are wicked, they collect millions as school fees and pay their staff peanuts. I have a Bsc degree. I also have a PGD in Education and a TRCN certificate and I also have a passion to teach. I called my mum and told her I wanted to start my own school in kuje, my mum surprised me and sent me a huge sum of money to start my school. It was like film trick. Today to the glory of God I have my own school. I bless God I didn't accept that offer. Sometimes you just have to push yourself to achieve your dream. I treat my staff well too. Wow....that was a smart decision you took. I have the dream of starting a school soon somewhere in the south south. Please I will really appreciate you putting me through. |

yeme7: Well mine goes like this.... I went for interview in one of the state, I was the first person to got there, after so much waiting, I saw people coming one by one we were up to like 10 in one position that's when I believe I won't get the job, to make matter worse a lady who came for the interview told me to forget about it that if could speak their Tribe I said no she said I should forget it... Then after we were called to one by one, imagine me be the first to come I was the last. To cut the story short I was called him after everything I started talking immediately I was told to stop, they told me bye bye that I should forget the job... So one thing came to my mind that I can go home just like that, so I excused one of the interviewer that I have no money to travel back to my state. The man asked me how. Much I said 5k,immediately the man gave me the money.. I said bye bye na who. wifeesnatcher: I attended one with Dana airline, 3whites and 2 Nigerians are the interviewers
1. we have gone through your CV and with your course of study, we discovered that it doesn't fit in with our job Vacancy, why do you think you're fit for this job.
after buttressing my reasons with reasonable facts and reference, they were satisfied
2. pick a product/service and market it.
I pick their airline, having studied their services and their objective(slogan)
3. the Nigerian said your CV stated that you served in Anambra state, I said yes, then he asked where my PPA was then, I told him a private secondary school. he then asked the subject I teach then, I told him govt. he said I should pick a topic in govt and teach them just for 5mins
I picked the three arms of govt, I explained in full details with excess examples and comparative analysis of bicameral and unicameral of the legislature
4. this almost knocked me out. the white man among them asked me what was the bad thing about me that I don't like
I heard the question but to have enough time to crack my brain(not to shoot myself at the foot) I pleaded if he could repeat the question again, he repeated the question and I told him my introvert act but I'm working on getting rid of it, he asked why? I said because I don't want it to disturbed my social vices
my dressing dropped me anyway because they were all impressed with my readiness. guy man was so poor to the interview, it was a sad experience even though the Nigerian (a Igbo man) meet me outside to encourage me Did you get the job |

My mum’s In the late 1990’s or year 2000, my mum sent my immediate elder brother and myself to buy something and there was a change of N20 left. After delivering the pack we bought for my mum and my mum didn’t request for the change, I convinced my bro that we should spend the N20 (N20 then was valued as the N100 of now). So we went out and bought 4 sachet of cowbell milk and so many sweets. On getting home, our mouth was so busy and my aunty noticed and went to ask my mum if she gave us money , immediately my mum suspected we had spent her change. She warned us never to try it again but her devilish sister added salt and spice saying that any child that steal money to buy milk was going to grow up to become Anini. My mum used wood 2times the size of a mop stick to beat us that day while my aunty tied our legs and hands to the table. That day I understood John 11: 35. I wept
My dad. I guess he had issues with his work place back then and was kinda depressed. We were on holiday and I and my bro were playing in the varenda but I joined my brother to climb the railing and that moment I sited my dad coming in the street directly opposite our street , I didn’t know my dad saw us too cos of the hill cos the gate was closed. We quickly ran inside and minutes later my dad came in, he asked us where we were and I told him “inside” he didn’t say anything. He went inside and came back to the parlor with cables (wires) in a box. He went to the door, locked it and put the key inside his pocket and ordered my brother to climb the center table. As my bro started crying, he grabbed him and tied his hands and legs to the table and started flogging him with a bunch of cables. At that point I started crying for my life, I went and held my daddy’s leg and was begging him to stop flogging my brother, he turned and told me to be preparing for my own. He tied me later when I tried running and screaming for people to help me, he flogged the living hell out of me. It’s been over 20 years but that beating feels like yesterday |
