mamas in the house,
cc-fvine, sugah
please advise me on what to do.
The question is shoud I go for fibroid surgery or still continue with the herbal medicine?
Is the Fibroid reducing or increasing?
The new pelvic scan I did as at 10/06/2016 after using herbal for a month shows
NEW PELVIC SCAN
USS shows a bulky uterus with AP Diameter of 8.3cm.
The echo pattern is heterogeneous.
The Myometrium is expanded by solid tissue masses with mixed echo textures and AP diameters of 2.8cm intramural in the lower anterior wall,1.5cm intramural in the anterior- fundal wall, 7.1cm intramural in the posterior- fundal wall and 1.8cm submucous within the body of the uterus.
Adnexae and Pouch of Douglas are partially obliterated by the uterine bulk.
No free pelvic collection. No cyst.
OLD

This is your result comparison after taking the herbals for 1 month

Uterus Size : Before - 10.4cm, After 8.3cm
Anterior Intramural Fibroid: Before 1.4cm, After 2.8cm
Posterior Intramural Fibroid: Before 6.1cm and After 7.1cm
Submucous inside Uterus Fibroid: Before 4.6cm, After 1.8cm

This shows that the Submucous Fibroid which is the most dangerous to Fertility decreased by 2.8cm which is very impressive.
The Intramural Fibroids is Fibroids in the Uterine Walls increased. The Anterior Intramural doubled in size while the Posterior Intramural increased by only 1cm.

Intramural Fibroids generally do not affect fertility as such except where they distort the Uterine Lining so much and/or block the fallopian tubes. This can be determined by looking at the scan pic by a Dr or a Sonographer. My suggestion will be to take the herbals for 1 more month to possibly eliminate the Submucous Fibroid and you never know it might also begin to reduce the Intramural ones as well. Keep your fingers crossed and pray, you might get your blessing within the one month, Amen.

What kind of herbals are you using? What's the cost and did you change your diet? Kindly share with us.

I don't know how true this is, but I got it from mamalette on Facebook.

Zobo is not recommended for pregnant women in their first trimester or those who are undergoing fertility treatments. This is because it can lower levels of oestrogen in the body and can prompt menstruation which could ultimately lead to a miscarriage. Those in their first trimester especially should avoid drinking this drink... Read more at http:///052V48
You're very right. Zobo, Pineapple and Mangoes are some of the things that causes contraction and women are to avoid after Ovulation and in the first trimester because they can disturb implantation and also cause miscarriage. Although women have different body systems so you have some women who take these things in the first trimester and nothing happens to their pregnancy. Some Mamas use it to induce labour while some others take it to induce labour and nothing happens. My approach is to err on the side of caution because you actually might not know how your body will react and it just might be negative.

All my lovely and wonderfully made sisters/mothers-to-be.
please what is the difference between TVS and Abdominal Pelvic scan.
I did pelvic scan but they did not tell me anything about my ovaries and seeing this below mail, am kind of confused.
TVS is Trans Vaginal Scan meaning a scan done through the veejay. For this procedure, a long plastic object is inserted into the veejay and it does the scan which makes things inside the Uterus more clearer than the Pelvic Scan

Abdominal Pelvic Scan - Is scan done from the top of the abdomen.

As for not mentioning anything about your Ovaries, am not surprised. Some Labs will actually not do this during an Abdominal Pelvic Scan except you request for it and when you do, they'll tell you to pay for Folliculometry (Scan dedicated to checking Follicle Size) so that they can check your ovaries and also tell you the size of the Follicles. I experienced this with a Lab. Since then, if I go for a scan, I make sure that I ask what the scan will cover before I proceed.

Hello people, I've been skimming through the thread and I thought it would be proper to seek knowledge here.

My fiancee & I have been trying to get pregnant but each time she comes home (to Naija), we somehow miss the ovulation period.

We have been wondering if there's a means to get my sperm shipped from here for her to implant it in her for pregnancy purposes?

We need directions, guidance & enlightenment on the possibility and feasibility of this.

She's presently in the USA.
It's very possible but will need to be done by experts. Sperm needs to stay frozen at a certain temperature and thawed in a certain way for it to be used. Go to a Fertility Centre that has US Affiliations, am sure they can help you get it done.

Good evening fruitful mamas,

Welcome back mama fvine ; its very certain we shall laugh and dance someday, every body has a different time zone that's what I say to myself. Instead of crying these days I start praying and confessing the word of God concerning fruitfulness.

@fvine, sabi mamas; Abeg is it possible for tvs to show both ovaries with growing follicle of 18mm(right)and 17mm(left)on CD 9 for 25-26 cycle length and yet OPK(predicte brand) doesn't give a second line to indicate ovulation is abt to occur.
Thanks Sis. Not that I did cry, I've actually grown thick skin after years of ttc. My greatest pain is that of all the ladies here put together especially those who are troubled by either friends, family, in-laws or all joined together, reading all the struggles while seeing people in real life having it very easy pains me. Am lucky to have no one on my back directly. I continue to praise God daily. I know I'll surely have children, the time it will manifest is what I don't know. So am just waiting for it, knowing that God promised it and it will surely come.

Yes it's possible. OPKs are not 100% reliable. TVS is more reliable. With such sized follicles on both sides, na possible twins be that oh!

Dear Mamas in the house.

So for now, i continue to take the metformin, folic acid, vitamin e and evening primrose oil and i pray that God will answer my prayer.
Welcome to the thread, may your stay be blessed in the shortest possible time. Continue praying and praising God, your Bfp will manifest soon I pray, Amen.

As for the drugs, continue taking them. But please note that Evening Primrose should be taken from only AF (Period) to day of Ovulation and thereafter stopped. It disturbs implantation hence the need. Also high dose of Vit E up to 1000iu after Ovulation is also not advisable as it also affects implantation. Stop stressing yourself emotionally because that can also get in the way, just thank God for a supportive MIL, pray for her as you pray for yourself and enjoy the love she's showering you. Commit everything to God.

Morning sabi sabi mama , can I take something else that is bitter but I can swallow instead. there is something Yoruba women that sale herb call "muru" its more bitter but can be swallowed instead. I tried d bitter leaf and d following day fear grip me I could not put d cup on my mouth.
It's not about the bitter taste, it's about the medicinal component. Bitter leaf has medicinal values that is useful in insulin sensitivities which is what diabetes and PCOS bothers on. Bitter leaf is very useful in the treatment/management of diabetes and PCOS. Although care should be taken in drinking this as it can drop blood sugar levels greatly. This is so especially for people who are on drugs that work on Sugar Levels like Metformin.

You can add a little salt to make it more palatable, also try using cold water ( Refrigerated Water), gulp it down rather than sipping/drinking. Keep something on hand to immediately use and clean the taste from your mouth after drinking. Just look at the end result and it won't be as difficult. It's well. God bless.

Good morning everyone and hope we'll having a great week so far. My apologies for the MIA thingz, nah condition make Crayfish bend cheesy. Am a very empathic person so I feel very strongly the pain of others. So at some point, while I was dealing with my own pains, I got deeply involved in the pains here and it was almost driving me insane. I was almost crying each night before sleeping questioning why God is allowing us here to pass through all of this. It also didn't help that work has been crazy busy and I get home tired and fagged out. Anyways I decided to take a short break but I never for one day forgot my family here. I read up in posts daily just found it difficult to comment.

I want to say a big thank you to all that asked after me here, BBM, WhatsApp, Email and all the mentions. Such overwhelming show of love. I really do appreciate it.

Congratulations to AyaTiraj and Joyfulmoda on their bfp, God will grant you a smooth pregnancy and healthy children, Amen. That's also my prayer for all who have gotten their bfp recently.

Congrats to those who celebrated their birthdays, anniversaries and all celebrations. May happy celebrations never cease in your life, Amen

For the waiting Mamas and Papas, do not despair, God will surely manifest our miracles at the perfect time, let's continue to sing his praises.

@ Loisemm, thanks for keeping the bfp roll call going.
@ 4realwoman, thanks for keeping the prayer praise chain going.

Ok I'll stop here before I resurrect my flair for long posts grin. I am here, have always been here and will always be here to support my e-family even after my blessings (bfp & twins) get manifested. I dey enjoy the Preggy Thread oh, the happiness on that thread is infectious.

Yes it is. That's where I find myself. No trigger that I know of. I don't have insulin resistance and my blood sugar is normal. I ovulate but just not good enough for fertilization to occur. We can only manage and overcome it to get our bfps. Run away from Sugar and Carbohydrates. Take your medications as prescribed by your Dr. God bless.

Things you can do to save money as a new mum

- potty train as soon as possible. Diaper is costly! I stopped using Huggies. Later went to premium pampers. I plan to explore cloth diaper with my new baby.

[/b]
Are you referring to the Modern Cloth Diapers that are just like Disposable Diapers? If yes do you have seller/sellers or where you plan to buy from? Am still ttc but planning to CD when I have a LO. I've only been able to find one inexpensive seller locally, someone introduced her to me. She stays in Zamfara but ships all over 9ja, chatted her up on WhatsApp. Although all she stocks is the Pocket Diapers so am seeking for other 9ja sellers that have several options that is affordable. clothdaipersng is quite costly so am not even venturing there. The only other option is buying online and shipping from abroad. Do let me know what your plans are.

Good work fvine. Wats ur normal egg meal lyk? I ve been deferin starting the egg fast. wanted details from a Nigerian living in Nigeria.
My meals today is 6 Eggs, 2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil taken by the spoonful, 4 Tablespoon (60g) of Butter, used some to fry the eggs while I licked the rest. Took a Cup of Black Coffee at work, a Bottle of Diet Pepsi and N100 worth of fried Wara (Local Yoruba Cheese)

Yesterday was BPC, Fried Eggs, N100 Fried Wara, 2 Diet Pepsi. I was out all day and visited people hence the 2 Diet Pepsi but I couldn't eat the 6 min eggs because I took only 4 eggs out and got home too late and tired to prepare anything so I just took the 2nd Pepsi with the N100 Wara. 3 Tabs Orbit Sugar Free gum

1st day was BPC, 2 fried eggs and 4 eggs baked into an Oopsie Bread. I didn't really enjoy the sweet oopsie bread, I felt it would've been better with pepper. So if I ever Bake one again, I'll add dried ground pepper. I also took 1 tab of Orbit Sugar Free Gum.

Previous Egg Fast I've done, I make Egg Salad by Mashing and Mixing Boiled Eggs with Mayonnaise. I also make Fake Egg Pancake by Mixing Eggs with Butter, Cinnamon, Artificial Sweetener before frying. I also sometimes eat boiled egg and drink the cocnut oil or just lick butter. But right now all of them nohungry me. I go with my appetite. For now Fried eggs is all I can stomach plus BPC and that's what am eating. Fried egg is also very quick and easy for me.

NB: I use artificial sweetener as sugar, Cinnamon as bread and Pancake Flavour, I also used Mayonnaise as my fat in the Oopsie bread, I also use small seasoning powder with salt to bring it the taste for frying eggs. I chew Sugar free gum as the spirit leads. Hope this helps.

You can also try the General Motors Diet. It seems to have the same weight loss rate with the Egg Fast for me. If I get tired of the Egg Fast before reaching my goal, I will fall on it to help.

I became very broken cos I was really hopeful for dat cycle.he has ordered for dh semen analysis and that I should repeat d same injections and procedure like mask cycle.right now I'm on CD 3 but I don't feel like wasting any money with d HSP until dh sa comes out.

my question now is that what do you mamas think I should start doing dis cycle?I did fertility hormonal assay on cd3 last month and d only thing d doc pointed out was high progesterone which he has treated.I don't like d way d injections has lengthened my cycle to32 days at all.sorry for my long post, pls put me tru in d vitamins I can start using as I'm presently not using any.thanks for your continuous help.
