Congrats Golden2015, May God grant you a healthy pregnancy and healthy baby/babies, Amen. @ Ayauche and Delor, it takes so much for me to just jump them pass without quoting and cursing the Oduduwa fake conception stories people out. God is seeing them and will do justice. They think TTC is a joke. May God save us from the hands of evil men, women and spirits both as we ttc and as we live our lives, Amen. 6 Likes |

mamakendra:Sis, I used the regular Home Electric Blender. When I started it was as if it won't be able to blend it but I continued and it did eventually. What I noticed is that it takes longer to grind than grinding Tomatoes, Else ec because it's harder. I started with the first button and that he didn't grind it much so I just increased the speed to the 2nd button. But the noise the thing made scared me at first make my blender no go spoil. 1 Like |

suremum:Just hearing this for the first time. I wouldn't want to discredit the Lab, But Even if it's right / done, it's a very uncommon practise. I'll suggest you go with the popular and common practice that almost every Dr and everyone who knows about Fertility test can relate with. That's how early ttc years when I never sabi anything, I went for CD21 test and was informed that there are other hormonal tests. The Lab guy convinced me and I did both FSH, LH etc on CD 21. At the end it was a waste of my money. I don't even know how their juju catch me that I didn't even call my Dr then to verify if I should do the tests na him send me go for the CD21 test. Much later Dr explained that he didn't request for the other tests because they're better done on CD3 and I had already passed that before I came to him and that's why he decided to start with just Progesterone. |

DonaTee:I dislike Cucumber except in Salads. But it does work. It actually worked in producing plenty EWCM for me when I tried it out. Just remember to drink plenty water during the day. Smoothies are great too. I don't have issues in the EWCM / Wetness department now so I don't bother with it anymore. I actually made the drink mostly for my husband and not for myself although I intend taking one bottle as sample, am just very experimental and curious. It doesn't fit into my diet plans as am trying to lose weight. Carry go, nothing do you Sis. May God bless all our efforts with success, Amen. 2 Likes |

Odawayii:Exactly what I thought too. This article from a Fertility Dr, Dr explains highlife the difference of both situations. I want you to note points 7, 8, 9 and 10 in the article. Polycystic ovaries or PCOS – What’s the difference? A common confusion among women, is understanding the difference between having polycystic ovaries (PCO) and having been diagnosed with a Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS). PCO refers to an ultrasound scan image of the ovaries that appear to be polycystic (ovaries containing high density of partially mature follicles). PCOS is a metabolic condition that may or may not come with having polycystic ovaries. In fact, to be diagnosed with PCOS a woman needs to have 2 of the following: 1) Polycystic ovaries appear on ultrasound. 2) Irregular periods. 3) Increased male hormone in the blood test or associated symptoms such as extra hair growth or acne. So if a woman has irregular periods and an increased male hormone she could have PCOS without her ovaries being polycystic. However, other conditions such as thyroid or pituitary dysfunction need to be excluded before PCOS diagnosis is made. Although there may be some similarities in the names, the risks and medical treatments are very different for these 2 situations. PCO is a normal variant of a woman’s ovary, whereas PCOS is a diagnosed condition with short and long-term consequences. This article will outline the major differences between the two. PCO is more common than PCOS : 1. PCO is more prevalent with up to a third of women of childbearing age having polycystic ovaries on ultrasound and no other symptoms. PCOS, on the other hand, affects 12-18% of women of reproductive age, with 70% of these cases remain undiagnosed in the community. (Statistics from: www.betterhealth.vic.gov.au) 2. PCO is not a disease, whilst PCOS is a metabolic condition: PCO is a variant of normal ovaries, whilst PCOS is a metabolic disorder associated with an unbalanced hormone levels released by the woman’s ovaries. 3. Women with PCOS are at risk of developing the associated short and long-term effects, whereas women with PCO are not: 4. Women with PCOS should be aware of the associated risk which may include: diabetes, pregnancy complications (ie. gestational diabetes), cardio- vascular disease, obesity and endometrial cancer. Women with PCO do not have the same risk profile. 5. PCOS has symptoms and is evident early in life whilst PCO has no symptoms and often discovered by chance: 6. Whilst both PCO and PCOS have a genetic component, PCOS often start showing symptoms (acne, excess hair growth etc.) in teen years, due to the associated metabolic disturbance. PCO may also be present early in life, but since there are no symptoms, it is discovered incidentally during other health checks when the woman is older. 7. Emergence of cysts in PCO may be caused by a variety of reasons as opposed to PCOS where is it linked to a hormonal disorder: 8. Women with PCO may still posses the hormonal balance and continue to ovulate regularly. Whilst in PCOS, the hormonal balance is distorted which interferes with ovulation. In a large proportion of these women the mechanism is linked to high insulin release that stimulates the production of androgens from the ovary disturbing ovulation. 9. Women with PCO can still get pregnant, whilst those with PCOS may struggle with infertility: 10. Conception with PCO may not be difficult, however women with PCOS may have problems getting pregnant. In addition, women with PCOS have a higher miscarriage rates. 5 Likes |

As for your request, *Scratches Head* Actually ehmmm, honestly ehhhhhh, truthfully ehmmmm, in fact frankly speaking, I really love all you've been doing on this thread, preggy thread and outside the thread and really like you as a person even though we've not met. Actually I really really want to give you small but I cannot definitely tell if that request can be granted because it can only mean that ehmmmm there will be a shortage on the manpower I have produced and maybe the resultant action from taking the manpower. Infact no need for all this English and scratching head, make I just tell you the truth Sis, I no give, full stop All was said in heavy Igbo Mans Accent. One love Sis. Kikikikikikikikikiki As for quantity, I used N100 Coconut although I feel N50 would have been Ok if the Coconut was sweet, th first I broke wasn't sweet so I broke the second one and still not dry and sweet, 2 Derica of Fresh Aya bought at N150 per Derica. You may need to use less if using dry Aya because it's much more concentrated and N150 Dabino. Buy extra Dabino just in case you need to increase the sweetness except you have honey that can help you remedy the situation if the need arises. Dabino is added to taste, more Dabino, more sweetness.I generally have a sweet tooth. 3 Likes |

4realwoman:I used the normal / regular electric blender used in homes. Just add enough water and start blending from low and then gradually crease speed until all is properly blended. Remember to remove the seed of the Dabino (Dates), soak in water to soften if you bought the very dry type, I forgot to do this last night so I just used small mortar crush am small before adding to the blender. Also slice up the Coconut before adding to the blender. I used normal temp water for blending and then slightly hot water for rinsing it out make all the juice for come out I say slight hot because I was still able to use my hands to squeeze the chaff. After blending, sieve and bottle and your Kunu Aya (Man Power is ready) ; D The process wasn't much hassle. I'll definitely be making it again if my husband enjoys it. PS: After showing my DH the drink and explaining, the man just they grin like school boy. He just said, Choi am gonna love that drink oh hahahahahha but just be ready to give me anytime I want oh, no excuses you know me I want to be doing the thing all the time but I just dey take am easy with you and being considerate cos you're tired most days after work but this one na weekend oh and you've rested well. My 4 bottles of Kunu Aya Drink (Tiger Nuts + Dates + Coconut). Made this morning, tastes great and in the Freezer chilling. In a bid to extract all possible juice and to also decrease the thickness, I lost a bit of its sweetness cos I didn't buy much Dabino. I used my initiative and added 2 spoons of honey and that restored the original taste. Soft Dabino tastes like Honey and Honey is natural and great for lots of things. So if you ever encounter this, use your initiative and do something similar. I also got creative with the chaff, I melted butter added the chaff and added honey, mixed and molded in squares, put in a plastic plate lined with nylon an popped into the Freezer. Tastes yummy. I'll see if it's able to freeze up and what the texture is like. If it freezes just like chocolate, then it's definitely a win for me and might also be a great kiddies snacks. Will report back on this with pics later. 11 Likes 1 Share

Odawayii:All your numbers are great. You also ovulated in that cycle. It seems like the Metformin and Folic acid has taken care of the cysts because there's no indication of PCOS from this test result. If you have the initial test result, please post so that we can review and compare. You could actually have just had a Polycystic Ovary (PCO) in that cycle and not the PCOS but of course I can't really tell. In any case just be happy that all is resolved and you ovulated a good egg. If no BFP this cycle, I'll suggest you continue with the Metformin and make sure you BD well in the cycle, but do follow your Drs instructions. 2 Likes |

Towerofgrace: Can I jump and pass Biko because I want to have Triplets and Twins Anyway, I think you should try the Kunu Aya Recipe (Tiger Nuts + Dates + Coconut Juiced Together), a lot of Ladies are testifying to it on a Facebook Group I belong to, Its all natural, so why not. Yours truly will be trying it out tomorrow *winks* Maca didn't work for me. Although my Libido has returned to normal since after my Myomectomy and I got my hormones under control plus I discovered one button that DH presses and the Kpekusing light just goes ON for me. So I just want to try it out of curiosity and to have the experience. CAUTION: Dates (Dabino) Ripens the Cervix and is used to induce / Quicken Labour. I'll advice we use this cautiously during the TWW as it might not be good for implantation and early pregnancy. Same goes for Pineapples and Mangoes. It affects some women but doesn't affect others though. 2 Likes |

Going by Lovelymom29 and iomoge2 post of the TTC Prayer, I followed the links provided and here is the direct 21days Prayer Guide for TTC www.theshadowofthealmighty.org/21-night-deliverance-prayers-for-the-fruits-of-the-womb/ I want to suggest that we declare a 21days prayer using this guide/prayer points. TTC can be challenging sometimes that you even open your mouth to pray and you just lack words. We can all agree to start on a particular day praying for ourselves and the prayer list that @ 4realwoman helps in scheduling per week. This means that for the 21days, a group of women will be petitioning heaven with same prayer requests for themselves and for others. It doesn't have to be at a particular time, everyone can choose to pray whenever they like. I'll like to suggest that we start off immediately latest Sunday/Monday 4realwoman Dear, please help us with an updated prayer list, declare a start date and also add the above prayer link for those interested. Just my thoughts, it's not compulsory, whether the thread agrees to do this on not, I'll start off Monday latest. May God manifest our Blessings speedily in Jesus Mighty Name We Pray, Amen. 6 Likes 1 Share |

@ Agape234 : Stuff to boost EWCM production and General Wetness of the Veejay. Below are the things to increase EWCM and Veejay wetness. Natural things / Alternative Methods: 1. Grapefruit Juice squeezed inside warm water. Drink the mixture and drink lots of water during the day 2. Eat Cucumber and drink lots of water during the day (I've tested and it works) 3. Insert the Egg White of fresh and pasteurized chicken eggs like 30mins before BD. Some ttc women swear by this to have helped them conceive. The Egg white part of a chicken Egg is like the female Fertile mucus. but you must ensure is fresh and pasteurized Egg to avoid infection. You can pasteurize Egg yourself by dipping a few secs in boiling water. Please Google and read this method up if you intend to do it. I've only tried it once with an unpasteurized but very fresh egg, didn't get any infection but fear no free me try am again. 4. Mix Lime Juice, 1 Egg into Lipton Tea and drink. This was shared on the thread and confirmed by another Mama. Note that lime is controversial in ttc so my advice will be to do only in Fertile window and stop after Ovulation. You can however take Lemon water all through your cycle. 5. Baking Soda Finger: Wash hands very well, dry off. Wet tip of finger and dip in Baking Soda/Bicarbonate of Soda (Not Baking Powder) insert into veejay once. Do this in Fertile window, 30-45mins before BD. It will make more CM for you, make your CM alkaline and very conducive for the swimmers to thrive and swim. Orthodox Ways 1. Take Evening Primrose Oil Capsules before Ovulation and stop immediately after Ovulation. It can affect implantation or even cause early miscarriage if taken after ovulation. Drink lots of water throughout the day. 2. Omega 3 ,6 & 9 (there's a Capsules that combines the 3 in one) take throughout your cycle to balance tour hormones and increase mucus especially Fertile mucus. Drink lots of water throughout the day. This is what my Dr currently recommended for me. 3. Use Preseed or Conceive Plus lubricant which mimics the Fertile cervical mucus and is safe and helps the swimmers go up there and stay alive for ttc couples (if you decide on this, use half the recommended quantity otherwise you'll be so wet and it will be so slippery that your DH might not enjoy it. 4. Fairhaven's Fertile CM Supplement 5. Vit B6 You don't do all at the same time, some can be combined though. You just pick and try out until you find out what works for you. 2 Likes |

mrsfrank:Thanks for sharing. Yes you need to get off Dostinex. And if you have any left, just throw way it to my side *winks* I've been on Dostinex since March or April. My last tab was taken on Saturday and I've decided not to buy more especially when I learned that Myo-Inositol/Inositol lowers and maintains good Prolactin levels and I was planning to buy the powder. I haven't checked to see where my levels are at. But with this your post, I'll just up my Vit B6 dose back to 200mg daily. My Dr prescribed that dosage for me earlier but that cycle was medicated and when no BFP, I vexed and stopped taking it. I started a few days back with 100mg daily when I noticed that I was stressed. I now feel better and calmer. Praying for a bfp soon for us all. As for your Progesterone levels, if it was done CD 7, then that's Follicular Phase and the levels are normal and shows you have a good Luteal Phase length That cannot be used to determine Ovulation. It's the 7dpo Progesterone popularly known as CD 21 Progesterone test that is used for Ovulation. CD 21 is Luteal Phase. I gave the no Ovulation interpretation because the Lab result you posted said the progesterone test was done in the Luteal Phase. You can redo another one at 7dpo or CD 21 just to be sure. |

Godchild2015:Alright Sorry for my assumptions, thought you were married and ttc. My advice now would be to just take Vit B6 and perhaps Omega 3,6,9 to regulate yourself first, they're affordable. You can always do the hormone test when all settles down. Vitex (Chasteberry) will also be good to take because it regulates women with irregular periods so you can go for it if you can afford it. If you're Overweight, try a d start working on the weight. Healthy weight helps with imbalances as well. Also do a scan at anytime to check whats going on in your Uterus. You can post Scan result here when you do so that we can help you torchlight it. Take care Sis. 1 Like |

@ iomoge2, Lovelymom29 and the other Mamas that posted prayer links and mentioned prayers, thanks so much. Prayers does work I swear. When I was job hunting for years after my MSc, I been dey pray dey go Charismatic fellowship but believe me one certain time like that I just vex in my spirit and decided to stop long wordy prayers. I just started a 9 Day Novena to Saint Gerard the Patron Saint of Motherhood. But the Novena Prayer of saint gerard I was praying then was the one for special blessings. I made sure I said the prayers after 3 O'Clock Divine Mercy Prayers to the Sacred heart of Jesus and boom I got called for an interview immediately after the Novena and got the job same week, just a few days after the interview. Right now am praying with Faith to Port to the Pregnancy Thread this month or next. Infact I don dey pray dey claim March 2017 or April 2017 Team Captain and I pray that God hears and answers the prayers I make through his Saints Jude and Gerard, the Immaculate Mary Mother of Jesus and of course through his Son Jesus Christ Our Lord, Amen. 17 Likes |

Lizzypaul:Ovumine is a form of Clomiphene Citrate just like Clomid. Wonder why he's combining it with Letrozole. Anyways hope he's tracking your follicle growth throw scans. I think scanning follicles, trigger Shot and timed BD helps a lot in achieving success in medicated cycles. I pray I get my bfp this cycle but if I don't, then I'll use my remaining Ovamit prescription ( Clomiphene Citrate). I got 2 months prescription and only used one before abandoning it. And while using it, I plan to put in my best through follicle tracking, trigger Shot and plenty timed BD. Just my opinion though. I wish you the best and pray you get your bfp this cycle. |

mrsfrank:Nne congrats on good hormonal levels. Biko what did you use that lowered your Prolactin and how high was it before? Fear not, it did not over reduce, it's within the normal range. Unfortunately you didn't ovulate in that cycle as indicated by your Progesterone level. I'll suggest you induce Ovulation and also do Progesterone support in the cycle you induce. You can do natural induction by using Beningasweety Bitterleaf and Garlic recipe or Clomid or Letrozole for Orthodox methods. For Progesterone support Vit B6, Cyclogest and Duphaston are also good. But I pray you just ovulate on your own and take in without anything. Abeg Congrats Sis. Your BFP is just by the corner. |
