Let me also add to my BFP announcement that i took lots of lemon from nov 2015 till jan 2016.
The ist day dat i took lemon, i was terribly wet down dere,dat was d day lemon works wonders unlike after my miscarriage may last year,i was totally dry down dere.
I also took lots of UDARA while in east last december.
SO THOSE DAT ARE DRY DOWN THERE, TRY LEMON.

Thanks for sharing. Lemon is acidic but turns alkaline in the body which is very beneficial to Health not just to TTC. I'd really love to know your baby gender when you find out please if you don't mind. TIA.

Thanks Dear, I do know that. That's why I said from CD 1 to Ovulation and not necessarily CD 12 because some women ovulate as early as CD10. But CD 12 is like a general guide / rule of thumb for those that have an average 28 day cycle who aren't sure when they ovulate but assume between CD 12 - CD 14.

Thank you Mr Medical student. But let me tell you that some of the sabi Mamas here even know some things that medical students are yet to know. PCOS does not necessarily mean that you don't ovulate, it's only that you can ovulate poorly or have more anovulatory cycles than ovulatory ones. As for being dry all through, you can't clearly state and/or conclude that a woman is dry all through and infertile if you're just looking at what the woman gets on her undies or on tissue paper when she wipes. The best check is what's on the cervix. some women produce cervical mucus but not enough to ooze out unto their panties or tissue paper and that doesn't make them infertile. But it also shows that this women need help in treating an underlying condition which can be slight hormonal imbalance. This can be easily treated by home remedies or some drugs like EPO or the Omegas. Let me also let you know that there are better drugs for pcos patients and Ovulation induction than Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) and Bromocriptone that you mentioned. The world is advancing and more drugs that women react better to are coming up. Mister man please stop derailing our conversations. Just make valid contributions and not argumentative unverified ones that can cause quarrels on the thread. Abi you wan turn troll for this thread?

@delor, in addition to what other mamas have suggested you can try this and you will come back to testify, infact you may need to wear a pad due to ur juice. . For me preseed gave me nasty infection so i dumped it.

Brew your lipton tea bag in hot water and leave to cool till warm enough to drink
Break ur egg in another mug/cup and add a little lime juice

please use pasteurized eggs only to avoid salmonella infection, make enough liquid u can consume at once half a mug should be enough.
if you can't get pasteurized egg, put your egg in boiling water for a while not enough to make it cook or solid before use

I might just try out this your home remedy when am fully recovered, just to test it out yes I love experiments especially one with underlying principles that I believe holds true. I actually see how this might work as Lime and Egg combo detoxifies the liver and the liver is the purifier that controls hormones and balances it out. Once your hormones are balanced, you'll definitely have increased CM. I've done a lime/Egg liver detox before. I think it was just Egg yolks in the recipe and it worked. Thanks Dear for sharing.

I pray you get your bfp with this clomid cycle. All I'll advice is that Clomid dries of cervical mucus in some women, so I'll suggest you make plans for this in case. It will be good to also take the Clomid at night, same time each day to minimize side effects. Best for cervical mucus would be to buy and use Preseed or Omega Vit combo. The reason for my suggestion is because I don't know if clomid interacts well or negatively with home remedies. Another good one which I've tried in the past is inserting room temperature raw chicken egg white like 30mins or few minutes to BD just the way you use preseed. but the Egg has to be pasteurized to avoid salmonella infection. Ayaayo I agree with u ky jelly can actually inhibit sperm mortility by 60 percent but I can tell u a woman who has no cervical mucus is not ovulating. Hence if actually she is experiencing ovulation there will be increase urge to have sex and there will obviously be enof cervical discharge which will actually facilitate penetration as far as she is not ovulating no mucus and pregnancy can't occur.TTC best actualized when ladies experience ovulation as for clomophine citrate the side effect u pointed out is not recorded in any medical literature.

It's falacy to say that women who do not have CM are not ovulating. Some women have hormonal imbalance but still ovulate and this is what makes the CM to be little or not so visible on the outside but very present on the cervix if you can check with a speculum. How do you explain women who have this dryness but use Preseed or Conceive Plus during their Fertile window and get pregnant? KY Jelly is not a Fertility lubricant period.

Some women who have pcos (which comes from hormonal imbalance) also have poor Ovulation which is also a factor in this. I have pcos, I do ovulate only that it is poor and the eggs are not "crunchy" (for lack of a better word) enough. Most of these home remedies and drugs works on balancing hormones and once the hormones are balanced, outward visible CM is noticed by the woman. I too have tried most of the remedies which have worked for me. Am yet to get on the Omega's but once I do, I'll definitely share my experience.

Mumihaja is right on the Preseed. But evening primrose oil is not necessary taken from CD 1-12. It should be from CD 1 to Ovulation. Some women ovulate earlier than CD 12 like some on CD 10. So if you're taking EPO, be sure to know your Ovulation day. Mamas also note that OPKs will only tell you that you're about to ovulate and you might end up not ovulating. Thanks for your input Sir. Pre intimacy wetness due to sexual arousal is different from Fertile cervical mucus which a woman gets in her Fertile window. The pre intimacy arousal wetness only lubricates the vee Jay so that sex is not painful while the Fertile Cervical Mucus feeds the sperm, keeps it alive for up to 5days (X Sperm), 3days (Y Sperm) gives it the ladder to swim up the cervix to meet and fertilize the Egg, there lies the difference.

Some women even when they ovulate, have little to no Fertile cervical mucus and these are the women who need help in this department. This includes me. I have PCOS and hormonal imbalance and that's why. Help can come from natural things or Orthodox vitamins which have been stated here severally and advised by some Drs whose patients have this issue. My Dr told me Evening Primrose Oil works but he doesn't like his patients using it because you have to stop immediately after ovulation to avoid disturbing implantation or risking early miscarriage. He advised that I buy Omega 3 & 6 which can be safely taken throughout the cycle. Mumihaja posted a pic of her combined Omega's and testified that it works for cervical mucus.

All advises women give on this thread are based on their experiences and/or researches or knowledge gained during ttc, these are only suggestions. Women are always told to check with their Drs and even do their research. Like my Dr will always tell me, we're in a world of free knowledge, always research, join good discussion forums, take notes of everything going on in your body, make notes and bring to your appointments and we can discuss and debate on your learnings. That way you can learn things I might not remember to teach you because its not something affecting you, and I can guide you on other things you might learn based on principles. He always says I can always lay down the medical principles for you on each matter and then we can judge what you've learned based on this principles. He always takes his time to teach me using coloured medical texts and pictures where necessary. He also uses examples teaching me sometimes like am a primary school pupil just to make sure that I understood the topic.

As for KY Jelly, it is a lubricant for couples needing extra wetness for fun, KY jelly is not Fertility friendly as it kills off sperm. One key thing women always forget which I read in your story is deworming. Deworming is very key in ttc as some kinds of worms cause miscarriage; infections as well. Antibiotics even though it can be bought over the counter is usually better if used on prescription. If you think you might have an infection, just go for a swab test. I know a lot of Mamas even on the internet got pregnant after the use of antibiotics My Dr also says that an antibiotics protocol is very important for ttc couples due to rampant active and dormant infections. But I honestly won't suggest self medicating on them. Just my humble opinion though, please no vex.

Thanks for sharing what you did differently with us, weight loss which helps with hormonal imbalance and pcos especially, antibiotics which kills off infections, Deworming which will kill off worms that can prevent implantation and can cause early miscarriage, Multivitamins to nourish and prepare the body for baby. You can bring your BP down by de-stressing, get plenty rest and ensure you sleep well at night for at least 6-8hours I think is the recommended for adults. 8hours and even more if possible should be the best for you and for women ttc. Reducing salt intake also helps lower bp

For the Urine part, I beg you, please go for lab test (Urinalysis), it will detect if you have a Urinary Tract Infection, Protein in Urine etc. It's better to know in time if something is wrong so that it can be easily tackled and treated. In the meantime, reduce your daily salt, drink plenty of water and urinate immediately you're pressed. Holding urine when pressed can cause bladder infections. Take care. It's well.

Some Mamas experience implantation pains and cramping, some even spotting blood few days before their period, end up missing their period and being pregnant. Natural things:

1. Grapefruit Juice squeezed inside warm water. Drink the mixture and drink lots of water during the day
2. Eat Cucumber and drink lots of water during the day (I've tested and it works)
3. Insert the Egg White of fresh and pasteurized chicken eggs like 30mins before BD. Some ttc women swear by this to have helped them conceive. The Egg white part of a chicken Egg is like the female Fertile mucus. but you must ensure is fresh and pasteurized Egg to avoid infection. You can pasteurize Egg yourself by dipping a few secs in boiling water. Please Google and read this method up if you intend to do it. I've only tried it once, didn't get any infection.

Orthodox Ways

1. Take Evening Primrose Oil Capsules before Ovulation and stop immediately after Ovulation. It can affect implantation or even cause early miscarriage if taken after ovulation. Drink lots of water throughout the day.
2. Omega 3 ,6 & 9 (there's a Capsules that combines the 3 in one) take throughout your cycle to balance tour hormones and increase mucus especially Fertile mucus. Drink lots of water throughout the day. This is what my Dr currently recommended for me.
3. Use Preseed lubricant which mimics the Fertile cervical mucus and is safe and helps the swimmers go up there and stay alive for ttc couples (if you decide on this, use half the recommended quantity otherwise you'll be so wet and it will be so slippery that your DH might not enjoy it.

@ Mamakendra. Congrats to you and your Sisters. You're next in line. That's exactly what happened with 2 of my sisters with 3 of their kids. There was divided attention in the immediate and extended family. I just told them to continue that when my own time comes, I won't have anyone competing with the attention that I want from all the nuclear and extended family after waiting for all these years. We all laugh about it each time. Funny thing is I used to (early years of ttc frustration) feel jealous at pregnant and new mothers but its just different with my sisters. each time they announce their pregnancy but most especially the births, I feel this overwhelming joy, I don't know why. Maybe because they're my blood.

What I can pick out is that you have vaginal thrush (Candida / Candidiasis) and also another infection which can be treated by the use of any of the antibiotics mentioned in the antimicrobial test while the drugs mentioned as resistance will not cure it.

You need to take to a Dr to prescribe one of the drugs mentioned in the antimicrobial test in the right dosage for treatment.

Please cut our refined sugar, yeast and reduce carbs in your diet as Candida feeds on these. During treatment also avoid meeting with DH or use protection to avoid cross infection and getting reinfected again. it's advised to always treat both of you when an infection is present. When you wash your panties, use disinfectant in the washing and rinsing water, soak in disinfectant water for about 5mins before spreading to dry and dry in the sun or if not possible iron the cotton part that covers the veejay. It's good to do this if you can't use disposable panties. these are what me and my DH did to get ourselves rid of infections while on antibiotics too. Till date I still disinfect my panties, prevention is better than cure. It's well dear.

@ cathyibok, your day 3 results are all within the normal ranges, your day 21 progesterone shows a good progesterone number meaning that you ovulated. That's what an Ovulatory cycle means. All is well with all your hormones, all glory to God.

Non gravid means non pregnant, uterine outline is smooth and regular which is good, meaning no growth or Fibroid or endometriosis detected. Dr Okeke at Sonex Hospital and Fertiliy Centre, Olodi-Apapa. Am not using him but my Dr (in Anambra State) says he's good and has very good and advanced equipments more than him sef. He only gave me his name, hospital name and phone number.

Other sabi Mamas please suggest other trusted gynaes and hospitals in Lagos. I understand that LUTH is also good if you want a government hospital.

Hello blessed mama's, so today I went for scan and was told my Uterus is bulky and made up of multiple intramural hypoechoic masses some calcified largest measuring 5.5cm in diameter. Both adnexea are free. Nil fluid is seen in POD. Uterine size 17cm x 12cm. The endometrial plate is well outlined.
I don't even know what adnexea and POD are.
My gynaecologist says It won't hinder conception, so I should not worry. I am ttc for 3 months now.
Well, I met a friend today that had huge fibroids and said a friend connected her to a retired female doctor who happens to be a RCCG pastor and the doctor gave her some herbs that dissolved the fibroid and now she is pregnant.
Pls does anyone here knows of a good gynaecologist in Jos, Plateau State? I want to change my gynaecologist oo..

POD means Pouch of Douglas and if there's free fluid in it, it shows that there could be an infection but there's no free fluid in yours so it shows that there's no infection present. If your Dr says that the Intramural Fibroids will not hinder conception then maybe they won't but you should seek a second opinion and do research for your self. What I know is that the worst type of Fibroids that hinders conception especially when it's many are the Submucous type found inside the Uterus (Womb). I'll suggest that you ask your friend to link you up so that you can equally use the herbs to shrink your fibroids. Also share your success with the herbs and what the herbs are so that Mamas here who have fibroids can benefit too. I've never even been to Jos so can't help with gynae/hospital suggestion.

3months is too short a time for you to be fretting and stressing so I just hope that you're not. Just be calm and do what you have to do. Stress also hinders conception. Has your DH been tested too are all well with his swimmers all round?. It generally takes even a healthy couple with no issues about 1 year to conceive, that's as per medical literature. One thing you really need to do is to know your Fertile window and Baby dance then. Healthy sperm lives about 5days in the Fertile Mucucs in the cervical canal of a woman. A healthy egg lives for an average of 24hours. So knowing and doing the deed is meeting with your hubby is very key. God bless.

USS shows a bulky uterus with AP Diameter of 10.4cm. The echo pattern is heterogenous. The Myometrium is expanded by solid tissue masses with mixed echo textures and AP diametwrs of 1.4cm intramural in the anterior-fundal wall,6.1cm intramural in the posterior-fundal wall and 4.6cm submucous within the body of the uterus. Adnexae bilaterally and Pouxh of Douglas are patially obliterated by the uterus bulk.No free pelvic collection. No cyst.No cyesis or retained products of conception sighted.

It simply means that you have 2 Intramural Fibroids (in the wall of the Uterus) and 1 Submucous Fibroid ( Inside the Uterus). Those are the solid masses mentioned and the cm sizes are their sizes. The fibroids are making your uterus (womb) big which is partially blocking the Pouch of Douglas. No free pelvic collection in the Pouch of Douglas means that there is no indication of any infection. You also don't have any ovarian cyst or any remains from a previously conceived baby that was miscarried (if any).

abeg sabi maamas,i know there is the tendency for us to abuse drugs in this ATC journey but don't u think it is wise we know the name and contents of drugs given to us?A friend of mine is currently on a drug,she said it makes her hungry and weak and she was told to take it exactly same time each morning,she said she was given in dispensable sachet with no name the only thing she knows is that HD abi na HG is inscribed on it.Pls,does anyone have an idea it's name(she actually paid 5k for it,she is also ATC)..

I don't know the name of the drug but a friend of mine was given the same drug by her Dr when she was trying to conceive and after using the drug she conceived. Well she introduced me to her Dr and the Dr started me on the same white tablets with HD written on it. Mine cost me more than 5k oh.Me I sabi ask questions so I asked the Dr but he refused to tell me the name even when I complained of side effects he maintained his stand refusing to tell me the name just asked me to endure and eat if I feel weak and all will be well. The drug also messed up my cycle which later returned to normal after I completed the dosage. Anyways the drug didn't help me conceive possibly because it was treating an issue that wasn't my ttc issue. My major ttc issue then was Fibroids and I now my new Dr has also diagnosed PCOS.

Your friend should complain about the side effects to her DR, maybe he can have a solution to help with them. I pray it works for her like it did for my friend.

Different Drs have different methods of approaching ttc. The Dr I mentioned above told me that it's usually his first protocol for women ttc that I won't be the 1st he's treating with it. My current Dr I discovered 1st does an antibiotics protocol. When I asked him why he placed me and DH on antibiotics after our first consult even before doing an infection test. He explained that antibiotics is necessary as it kills of even infections that have gone dormant that may not show up on tests. He said sometimes infections both active and/or those in a current dormant state that will later become active are the only things hindering conception.

Some Mum's on the TTC Thread have successfully used Clean Point Tampon and Guaifebao Princess Pearls for unblocking their tubes. I don't know about endometriosis but I can see that you've gotten good advise on it from other ladies here. Go with their advise on avoiding foods that causes inflammation. Take care and God bless.
