MummyEsther:Hi, Just wondering, how did you go from having Fibroids to no Fibroids? |
@Fvine, ♍y friend in abj, had myomectomy n got preg 6months later n had twins in march this year, but then her fibroid was very big n intramural inside d uterus, I hv other friends tht took in wit fibroid too, try n check other things tht might be hindering u frm taking in, esp if d fibroid is not in a bad place, issues like high prolactin n blocked tubes etc, I wish u well Thanks Blessed Diva: I have been TTC1for 2 years now, I've done all fertility tests for me and my DH and the only abnormality found is Fibroids. 3 3cm Fibroids. 1 Intramural, 1 Submucosal and 1 Subserous. That's why am thinking taking them out might just be the next way to go. I live in Lagos. |
Hello Mama's, Is there anyone with Fibroid issues resolved now and pregnant? Or do you know of anyone who underwent Fibroid surgery for TTC and was successful. Kindly share your journey and the Hospital as I am trying to resolve Fibroid for TTC. Thanks Y'all. |
favored gal: @fvine..nooooooooo..pls dont take his word for it...call him back and insist to know the name of the drug! Or if you cant when you see him in 4 days time insist!I intend to do that when I see him. I just wish I knew the name of d drug. even when he gave it to me, I asked him for the name and possible side effects but he refused and said if anything I should let yim know that most times women ttc misuse drug information given to them. Thanks. I've Google searched metformin but d pic doesnt look like the drug am talking about. |
udoka2: @FvineThanks Dear. I finally reached my dr this morning and told him of my missed period and negative hpt. he said it has nothing to do with the drug and that I should continue taking it. he asked me to retest in 4days time when I'll be 14days late and then come in to see him with what ever result I get. Thanks. Am just praying so hard its pregnancy. Congrats on ur pregnancy. I wish u a happy and healthy pregnancy. |
bloomingbuds: @ Fvine pls wat did u complain about 2 ur doc in d 1st place. I don't know y som of dese our naija docs feel dey have 2 be secretive about dir treatment. I had dis same exact situation some months ago, I had 2 go 4rm pharmacy to pharmacy 2 ask 4 identification of d pill. I found out d price was not up to 2,500 & I paid 35,000 to d doc for it. Pls go 2 any pharmacy, ask 2 see d pharmacist and explain 2 him/her. All d best dear.No other complain other than am ttc and need to conceive. All my tests and scans came out ok but one of the hormones was on the high side of the Ok range. He gave me 100 pills of this tablet which is to last for a month plus. I've finally reached him on the phone and he says to continue with the drug as it has nothing to do with my missed period. He asked that I redo the hpt in 4days when I'll be 14days late and then come in to see him whatever result I get. Thanks for replying. |
Dear Fruitful Mums, please has anyone taken a "round white tablet with HD imprinted on it" ? If you have and you know the name, do let me know please so that I can look it up. Am on this drug, am 10days late, and am never late. Negative hpt @9 days late. Can't reach my Dr so am just wondering what's going on, am I pregnant or is it d drug? if am likely pregnant should I stop taking this drug? A lot of questions on my mind. Thanks all. |
Mykikky: Hello Dr.my husband and i went for fertility test and result showed that his sperm is 0.4 000 000million pls can it corrected.Am not a Dr but from experience, the answer is Yes. He should be tested for infection as infections like Staph decrease Sperm Count. If he tests positive for any infection, it should be treated. Also Hormaonal Test can also be run to check if he has Low Testesterone and this can also be corrected if that be the case. If non of this is the case, a scan can also be done on his "you know what" to see if there is a blockage and whatever that is discovered will be corrected. For now, he should take Vit E 400iu, Fruits for Vit C, reduce/stop alcohol, cigarrete, coffee and caffeine drinks. He can also look into this herbal drug/supplement sold in chemists/pharmacies "Manix". It works wonders for Sperm Count. He should also drink plenty of water. You should also go for a HVS to check if you have an infection and if you do, treat this simultaneously with your husbadn and during infection treatment, you both should sleep together with con.dom to avoid re-infecting each other or moving the infection up and down if. Do not panic, its correctable and there are various options. You can also visit the TTC Thread here on Nairaland Health Forum for more help and support if you haven't done that already. *hugs* |
Mar July: TGIF to you all, pls if u can infection and you want to start treatment, should i get new undies bf treatment or after. pls advise, thank you.You really don't have to get new undies, just wash and rinse undies with a disinfectant liquid in the water, Sun Dry and/or Iron the undies to kill off any stubborn one left. But if you must buy new undies, then I think (my opinion) that it should be after treatment when clear of the infection as if new undies is used during treatment, then the infection will be transferred unto them. |
henro111: Pls what is the code for this mtn planIts is a BlackBerry Plan on MTN. With your sim in a blackberry phone, sms BBC to 21600. The question is how to configure it to work on the F7 after the successful subscription on Blackberry ![]() |
Coolstan: i use the mtn bbc plan. Costs 1000 and has a fair usage limit of 3gb but the truth is that its off and on. Sometimes it won't connect but 70% of the time it works fine. I have never regretted leaving the blackberry os trust meHow do I configure the MTN BBC plan to work on F7? that is after subscribing to it using a blackberry phone? Thanks. |
Please advise on a good and affordable Data Plan and Network for Android that can last for 1 month for just internet browsing, WhatsApp Chats and downloading of small pdf files, Thank you Or you can share on what you use and how it works for you. |
Coolstan: There's no best network in Nigeria. All are messed up.I know. Which one are you using and at what cost. I just want to have an idea cos thats the only thing holding me from buying this phone. Am not sure if the 260MB for N1000 will last me for a month. I browse a lot and mostly download pdf files and I also have several mails coming in each day, plus WhatsApp too. I dont have to worry about this on BlackBerry so now am torn between buying a BB again or going for this phone. Thanks for your help. |
Please F7 users, what is the best Data Plan and network for the F7. I need tested and trusted serious answers. Thank You. |
Rashybabe12: @Safelicious Present Ma,na 2 peep i dey do ooo..nottin much 2 say 4 now,am jst seek&tired of everytin arnd me but all tankz 2 God thou.tkz 4 checkin on me..Ramadan Kareem!!!Just go with the antibiotics that your Lab test showed to be active on the staph when you retested. And this time, Knackson safe with con.dom to avoid re-infection. Your DH should also get tested again so that you both can treat at the same time. Also wash and rinse your Pant.ies with Disinfectant, dry in the Sun or Iron when dry as it helps kill off any infection that might be on them. Sometimes soap removes the dirt and its clean but not germ free. The antibiotics that works for one might not work for all. Example: Augmen.tin showed +++ and very active to kill Staph for my DH but in my case it was resistant so you can imagine if I didnt get tested and just went with DH's prescription, it would've just been pouring water on stone. HVS is not so costly about N1200 and the drugs I used was N500 for 1 pack and I used 2packs so in all it cost just about N2200 and mine was Scanty Growth of Staph while my Dh's own was Moderate. As for the safe Knackson, Dr's dont always remember to advise this. I learnt from experience the 1st time of treatment and from the experience of one of the Mama's here. Remeber to drink plenty of water during treatment. We shall and have already conquered. Our BFP's will manifest soon. Amen. |
Chyvia: hello doc, i am 36 yrs old and husband 45 yrs we have been ttc for 7 months now. have only been taking folic acid for 3 months now.my DH did test his sperm count was 6 million and have staph and i always have back pains after waking up in the morning. pls doc what drugs should we take for the staph and for the fertilityDearie, am not a Dr but I just replied your post on the TTC thread with my experience on Staph and low Sperm Count, how me and my Dh are tackling this. No one can tell you the antibiotics to take for Staph without a lab test showing a list of Antibiotics that can be used in treatment and those that are resistant. I believe it is only in herbal drugs like Yoruba Agbo and the likes that they have general 'ago' for Staph. My DH took Manix with Liquid Peak milk for 40days and got a raise of 26million in his counts. He was also taking Vit E 400iu for 30days plus fuits too. |
@ Chyvia: I also want to add that the backache you're having could be from Staph. Symptoms I had: Backache and frequent Urination which always deceived me into thinking that I was Preggo as I mostly noticed this towards my Menses due date. It was later I researched and found out that they are both signs of Staph. I'll be retesting in a few days to see if it has cleared, hopefully it has otherwise another course of treatment will be prescribed. My DH will also retest and we'll continue knackson for TTC after we both have been cleared of it to avoid re-infection. Good Luck Dear. You're not alone. It's well and yes Staph is very treatable. |
[quote author=Chyvia]@all, DH went to hospital last week was told his sperm is 6 million which was 75 million last 3 months and also have small staph which we do not know the cause of his sperm to reduce to 6 million. we are very confused have been ttc for 7 months now. i have been having backache & hipache anytime am ovulating and my period for past 3 cycle have been 3 or 2 days earlier. we dont know what to do. please can someone help me because DH is very worried and we are not getting younger. [/quote. ] Sorry you're going through this. You both have to get treated for Staph. Go and do a HVS to ascertain if you have it and what Antibiotics that its not resistant to. During treatment, you and your DH should meet/BD with Con.do.m to avoid moving the infection up and down and re-infecting one another. As for the low sperm count, discuss the Herbal Drug "Manix" sold in pharmacies with your Dr cos even with Staph, it raised my DH's count by 26million. We are treating the Staph now. Initially he was been treated alone and we continued knackson not knowing that I had it too or perhaps I didn't but got infected then (whatever). But well now we know better, he got tested, I got tested and we both are being treated and after that he'll resume taking Manix again. He only took it for 40days before we discovered that we both now have d staph but we also discovered d increase in count. Sorry for the long post. I just had to share. |
udoka2: Fvine,Ok. Thank you. I didn't know for sure. I did the tests on Dr's prescription. I also asked at the lab he sent me to and was told that all is done CD21-CD23. So I did mine on CD22. If need be for a repeat, I'll request it to be done CD3. |

Newbie here: Ok. Well not so new cos I've been peeping. Have TTC my #1 on my own now for almost a year now. Just saw a Dr. Who directed us to a lab for tests but is insisting that we pay him N50k before he'll even touch the test result says its his consultation fee for now. Hmmm, may God help me oh. So person wey no get plenty plenty money for Dr's is not qualified to have a child? Hell No. My God will see me through, Amen. Tests and his consultation fee for now as he puts it is already running into N100k. My DH is gasping as I am. I had to let this out. My DH says he won't pay the money and that we should go look for and register in a hospital and seek for help there. Am confused and don't know what to do or where to go. Advice is appreciated. Thanks All. |
