Good morning mamas, hope we all had a wonderful weekend?

I need advice biko, what can one do to a nagging waist pain? This pain has always been there. Sometimes it comes as sign of AF. It gets so severe that I can't walk or stand straight. I have done an Xray nothing was seen.

Taken some nerve drugs and it relieved me a bit. What could be the cause? Is it PCOS related?

2. What would you do if a hormonal profile test done shows excessively high prolactin but your dr refuses to treat it before starting your ivf cycle?

Not to run down any laboratory but Union lab has lost it. Please be careful where you run your tests.

Thanks mamas.
Cc: Fvine
Sis, It could be caused by PCOS seeing that its a symptom associated with PCOS. Other gynae issues that comes with Low Back pain includes Fibroid, Infection and Menses.

2. I'll try to treat it using alternative methods of eating Lots of Cabbage, Vit B6, Plain Steamed Ewedu and drinking lots of water if am worried. I would be scared of taking medications like Bromecriptine, Parlodel, Dostinex etc because I wouldn't know how it would interfere with the IVF Drugs. I think I know why your Dr. isn't bothered though. High Prolactin interferes with Ovulation and since its an IVF cycle, you'll be stimulated with injections and will hopefully produce good quality and quantity of eggs due to the drugs. You can talk to your Dr. about taking Vit B6. If he agrees, then take it, eats lots of cabbage and drink water. If he doesn't agree, eat lots of cabbage and plenty of water. I pray for your cycle to be successful and result in healthy Baby/Babies as per your heart desire, Amen.

Big Ntooooo @Fvine. Who you epp? just finished making mine now. Very nice mehn. I threw away the chaff. What can I achieve with the chaff in case of nice time. Kwakwakwakwa.
You actually motivated me to prepare this. Come take small for my house you hear?
Lol @ Ntoooo and who you epp, both got me laughing, I had to read it over and over again. Nne mehn, the drink sweet and is very correct. Being my first time with just 4 bottles, too small to even epp myself let alone epp anybody. Oya you sef who you epp? Even the small you said you'll give me, got to your house and you have drink everything finish. You do ginger me now, na gallons I go make now. Abeg carry go Sis nothing do you.

Let's know how the drink take jam your body, sleep or Kpekus? If you don't have pcos or trying to lose weight or something like that, you can use the chaff to make snacks. Try adding Small Four to it Lu's butter and maybe 1 egg, bake like Cake. You can sweeten the chaff with Dates or honey. You play around with the mixture. You can also add butter, honey/dabino mould into round or square shapes and freeze. It doesn't freeze up but very yummy. Just remember to take plenty of water because the chaff is all Fibre/Roughage and needs water to move and cleanse the colon.

I see you Sis

The Kenyanmatta is the first benefit that people pick and focus on when it comes to the FINDrink or Kunu Aya. But honestly, it doesn't even work as a Libido booster for some people. Again it also has several other benefits, it serves as regular milk for people like me that are Lactose Intolerant, taking the Milks alone also serves this purpose. It helps for deep relaxation and destressing, plenty of Vit E, Zinc which are Fertility vitamins for both male and female. You can read up on other benefits. I don't even have it in kind as a Libido booster, am actually more interested in the chaff from the Kunu Aya. I made some cold snacks out of it that helped me a lot with constipation and hard poops, I also want to try baking it to see how it turns out. Am not even supposed to be taken the Kunu Aya or the Chaff Goodies because am trying to Diet to lose weight and to manage PCOS but longer throat sweet tooth things catches me sometimes and I don't feel so bad if it's something natural.

Another benefit is, last week I took it, I slept like a baby and woke up pretty refreshed. I wouldn't try any Kenyanmatta cos that will be looking for trouble cos am not lacking in that area currently. I have a normal libido level that suits me and my dh just fine.

The effectiveness of a cloth diaper is down to the system you use, how heavy a wetter your child is, the kind of fabrics used for absorbancy, quality of materials and even the fit of the nappy on your baby.

Brand and cost is not everything! Most of my nappies are "branded" and were not cheap but i have had various experiences with them. Even how quickly they dry need to be considered.

Microfibre inserts will be the cheapest and are likely to be the default that comes with most pocket nappies but the are also notorious for compression leaking. So never use them alone.

For me, I have found that my all-in-ones give me a maximum of 2-3 hours. And tend to leak through the leg stitches when saturated. . However they are straight forward to put on so if you want hubby or others to be able to help with the nappy changing this is the simplest route, if you get all flats, and he has to start trying to decipher folding technique he may just give up.

For nights or when i want longer performance i use fitteds with a separate wrap. As they have a larger surface area of absorbency as the entire nappy is absorbent as opposed to just a folded pad in the middle. And they are also quite easy to change when half asleep at stupid 'o'clock in the morning without having to fiddle with pins, snappy or whatever associated with flats

Flats and prefolds are also good. But some folding skills are requires with this. But this isnt rocket science and quite easy to master.

With all these you will still need some boosters and inserts to improve performance.

Cotton is good for absorbency, bamboo is better and hemp is also on the top end of the scale for absorbency as it holds much more liquid than the same thickness of cotton/ bamboo so they tend to me much thinner and also a bit more expensive.

In the early days... i used muslins as flats and secured with a snappy/ nappi nippa, these were practically dry after like an hour out of the wash. On emergency days i can still use these and boost with a bamboo or hemp insert and pop on a wrap.

This is just my own experience sha i know people who can swear one type or the other works better.

I will advise getting a bit of the different types available as you will find out that your favorite after use may not be what you thought it would be based on theoretical assumptions.

But bear in mind that with cloth nappies you will change more frequently than disposables... most disposables have a core that turns to gel and holds a lot of liquid giving you performances of up to 12 hours....
Cloth nappies on the other hand WILL leak when they are fully saturated as the urine will need somewhere to go if the nappy thoroughly soaked! So dont get caught up in any claims of 8 or 12 hour or whatever performance.... if your child pees like an garden irrigation system you will change more frequently or boost the nappy to buy more time.

Thanks for this detailed review, am glad to see one from a Nigerian, not all the Oyibo ones that is all online. Am planning to Cloth Diaper when I have LOs. From all my research, I've narrowed methods I'd like to try to AIO, Fitteds and maybe Pockets and Flats. Flats will be for emergencies though and to also serve as a booster to the Pockets when needed. AIO for ease of use for others who would have to change babies. But I think am gonna love the fitted more due to higher absorbency. Do you have any brand you'd recommend for experience? What's your thought on China Cheapies? China Pockets are what I've found to be available and affordable in Nigeria though, the Rumparooz brand though available on an online diaper store is quite expensive.

Ladies I had a deep thought yesterday and it got me thinking, the reason I get really sad when my period comes is becsuse one, I symptom spot a lot and believe that every little cramp or pain I feel after ovulation is fertilisation taking place or something and secondly on every cycle I calculate when I'm gonna give birth, I'm like if I miss my period this month I will give birth March next year, there is nothing wrong in keeping faith and hope alive, but I think it all still adds to the worry,my plan now is to stop anything worry and expect anything. Yesterday I bought a big pack of 64 pieces of always and told my self that should last for four months. If Belle enters before then,Praise Almighty God.Yesterday was Rita Dominic 41st birthday , no pikin ,no husband but the babe is slaying, she didn't kill her self, why do I have to kill my self.I know for sure that God will surely answer each and everyone here, some with twins and others triplets, till then let us keep hope alive and believe that he is a rewarded of those who diligently seek him.Have a lovely day beautiful sisters.
You got the nail on the head. Once I realized this, I stopped symptom spotting and actually buy my sanitary pads as much as I think it's necessary. I once almost got my dress messed up with blood because I refused to buy or carry pad in my bag. Na God save me that day.

grin grin grin The weekend was uneventful. DH was out and got back very late Sat night. Na so I vex for am and we carry face all through Sunday. We made up Monday and that was when the Kpekusing Kpekus shele grin

The effects of the drink on me : After drinking a bottle all by myself on Saturday, I felt some totori for my Jajaina grin and after a while, I was overtaken by sleep and I had the most deep and relaxing sleep ever. On Sunday, I also took another bottle and same thing happened. DH also took a bottle on Sunday and it had he same effect on him. Monday I and DH shared a bottle and the Aphrodisiac effect was felt, after some very sweet Kpekus, we had a very relaxing sleep. DH enjoyed the taste of the drink and the fact that it's all natural and healthy. Asked me to start making the drink as regular as I can. I dey laff the man for my mind because I realized that he has forgotten what I told him about the drink on Saturday, I guess my para on Sat and Sunday made him forget. I decided not to tell him about the purpose again. I just told him, I'll be making it when I have the strength for the grinding and sieving and he agreed

Tuesday DH was still having increased Libido, he complained to me about the sudden increase in Libido so I had to remind him about the drink. The man laughed and said ehen now my vex and raking Sat and Sunday has suddenly made great sense to him. grin So yes, I'll be making the drink when I can, not for the Libido enhancement cos we don't have issues with that, but for the other health benefits. I'd rather he's taking something natural than all the Soft Drinks and Sugar Laden Sodas of this world. The man likes drinking Coca Cola.

Hello All,

I really appreciate the level at which members questions are answered. Almighty God will make all our dreams come in no distant time.
I and my wife has been going through fertility issue for two years now. She has previously conceived in 2014 but the pregnancy was an Ectopic. This led to her Right Fallopian Tube removed through surgery. Since then we have not been able to achieve another pregnancy. She now went for two HSG Test at six months intervals. The last one was just last month. The two results are attached. After the test our Doctor said that the remaining Tube is blocked and now recommend a Laparoscopic Surgery to Unblock the Tube. We are yet to consider his recommendations. The HSG1 was done in 2015 while the HSG2 was done in 2016. I have also attached pelvic Scan result before surgery.
Please, I would like you all the read through the attached Test and give your advise. This is because a problem shared is a problem solved.
Anticipating your kind responses.
Welcome Sir. We love having supportive husbands pop into the thread even if they don't participate in the discussion. Sorry that you and your wife are going through this. Apart from Surgery, what Mamas here have used to unblock their tubes are Guaifebao and Hydrotubation (Tubal Flushing) although this is a trial and error method which may or may not work for everyone. Laparoscopy is a sure way of getting it and anything other thing that they might find wrong while trying to fix the blocked tube. In what ever you do, just pray for God's guidance. Take care.
