Courz:Okay bro. It's explainable. Satan and demons have not yet been judged. There's still a lake of fire into which hell itself would be cast. That may be the eternal fire Jesus was talking about. The lake of fire is the final judgement. Not hell. Revelation 20:13-14 "And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." |
MaxInDHouse:If that's what Satan has told you in order to make you happy and seal you away from obvious reality, then I pity your soul. There's bad news for the whole world. The bad news is that: Psalm 9:17 "The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God." Unfortunately, everyone is wicked by virtue of the adamic nature. So, John 3:18 "Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son." There can never be Good News if there's no preexisting bad news. It is when a better condition appears after suffering as a result of a previous bad condition that we talk of Good News. The bad condition is that everyone is condemned to hell because of wickedness. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. The Good News is that whoever believes in Christ Jesus is not condemned. He is removed from condemnation to justification. John 5:24 "Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life." That's the Good News. That's the Gospel. Romans 5:1 "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ," |
Courz:No bro. Demons don't torture people in hell. Hell itself is a place of Judgement for Satan and his demons: Mathew 25:41 Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels." Every other things you said up there is 100% correct. The NDE is an afterlife experience that should tell any sensible person that there's life after death. But you see, Satan is a master of his craft. He has given them some defective logic to scientifically explain the experience away. We'll keep sounding the warning. He who has an ear, let him hear. |
Lucifyre:How do you want to get historical valid sources for things that happened ever before Writing was invented? Are you kidding me? We call it myth only because it is delivered through oral tradition. After thousands of years, historical facts delivered through oral traditions would be regarded as myths. If for instance you yourself never wrote a book, and you depart this world without anything written about you. Someday, your existent would be regarded as a myth. The fact that many ancient cultures hold this myth in their tradition is evidence that something like that took place. It happened. The striking similarities between the narrations also prove it happened as these stories are not told by people who sat down at the same table to formulate the same myth. |
Courz:In their foolish display of stubbornness amidst crass ignorance, they even think they know everything about this life, and the life after death. Can you imagine that a full blown man who calls himself an atheist is there thinking that hell fire is a mythical place where fire burns people while Satan torments them? When I hear adults talking about Satan tormenting people in hell, I just shake my head. Most of them didn't grow their knowledge of these things more than what was put into their heads as infants. They have very childish notions of God and the afterlife. There's a lot of distorted notions of hell out there. I'll like to ask the JWs why anyone should fear sin and not enjoy a selfish disposition in life where you can hurt others to make yourself comfortable. Just do anything to be comfortable in this world since there's no punishment for sins. No hell, no punishment. Let us live our lives the way we choose. Or why should anyone fear to employ any means to enjoy himself since there'll be no judgement? That doctrine is absolutely satanic. Or, perhaps they have some other forms of punishment or judgement they believe God gives to sinners apart from hell. I'll like to hear it. |

MaxInDHouse:The salvation from hellfire is the Good News. There's no other news 'gooder' than that. |
Courz:My brother, Jesus has told us how they would respond to such testimonies. In the same rich man and Lazarus story you shared, the rich man had pleaded with father Abraham to help send Lazarus into the world to notify his brethren in the world about the reality of hell, "so that they would not come to this place." The Lord Jesus in wisdom responded: Luke 16:31 “He said to him, ‘If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead' And that's exactly what is happening whenever people share their NDEs. The Word of the Lord Jesus is the TRUTH. |
22jumpstreet:Verse 10 says: "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand." 1. In what way did the Lord bruise him and put him to grief because of the sins of others? 2. In what way did the Lord make Israel's soul an offering for sin? Verse 11 says: "He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities." 1. In what way can Israel be called His righteous servant? 2, What power does Israel have to justify many? 3, Whose iniquities is Israel bearing or shall bear? Now, consider the preceding verse 6 6 All we(Israelites) like sheep have gone astray; we(The Israelites) have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him(Someone else- the Messaiah) the iniquity of us all. How do you reconcile verse 6 with verses 10 and 11? |
The similarities further confirms the truth of the Bible. There were 3 brothers in their ark. All three would share their stories with their children. The story would spread from each child to several generations. Different versions of the stories would arise with the passage of time since it is being passed down by oral tradition. But the bottom-line of the story will remain true - that there was once a flood that erased the whole world. While satan has infused the story with lies by telling the human race that a god destroyed the earth with a flood because men made too much noise, the Bible made it clear that God Almighty destroyed the earth with a flood because of sin and wickedness. Satan does not want to discourage anyone from sinning and doing wickedness, so you can expect him to lead people astray and tell them the flood happened because of some noise while he also tells some others that there was never a flood. If the flood story was only found in the Bible without having any extra biblical counterpart, we might have reasons to question the Biblical narration. This is because, the Bible alone cannot be the only source of information for an event that was witnessed by the whole world. It is a lack of sound judgement for anyone to disparage the Biblical account just because it is found in other myths. The myths further confirm the Biblical narrative. They do not negate it in anyway. |
Antilslaam:Don't be surprised. AbuTwins is same as AntiChristian. Both monikers belong to the same person. |
We would keep warning muslims, atheists, JWs, idol worshippers, witches, cultists and all sinners everywhere under the sun who reject the good news of salvation. If they like they should keep saying we are liars. The end will tell, but it would never be said of them that they didn't have the opportunity to hear the gospel. |
kingxsamz:Oh, if that makes you feel honoured, it's all good. |
kingxsamz:Lol. I don't argue to claim any victory but to show facts. So, that's not the point. But you started with insults and continued with insults which I find very appalling. Under normal circumstances I ignore uncivil mentions, I just decided to follow through with you. Next time when you engage in a discussion on a faceless forum, learn to maintain mutual respect with everyone, no matter whom they may be. You never know who's behind the chats. |
kingxsamz:If you're intelligent enough you'll see that there was no copy paste but using your own words to expose your own folly. I've had several fruitful and civil discussions with many atheists here. Sometimes they tag me in their posts and we discuss mature topics together. You're the least intelligent of all atheists I have ever met on Nairaland. Yet, you boast in your own folly. |
kingxsamz:It's a sign of defeat. It happens when its more than what you can handle. |
kingxsamz:Lol, I'm still very much ready to punch your dull brain unintelligent, one way traffic and mediocre reasoning. Don't run away after disgracing your lot. I'm here to teach you what you don't know. You can't keep reasoning like a two year old and expect to keep up with intelligent adults anyway. So, I'll spare you. Don't worry, if you decide to continue I'll be more gentle on you this time around, especially if your senses are working right enough to know how to start off a conversation in a civil manner. I'm already having a good day. You should have a one too. |

Lol. So, they do drink this camel urine true, true? |
kingxsamz:Lol, I didn't say that makes it rare or nat. I'm telling you it proves something because it gives us ample opportunity to draw inferences. Until you provide credible evidence to the contrary, you're only wasting your time. Lol, too unintelligent to come up with a reasonable argument? Dull atheist. Lol, your dog only exists in your story book. Don't sweat it.Lol, your father who is a dog exists only in your imagination, don't sweat it If a fictional story was written based on Mr Anderson, sure, why not?If a claim is made, dull dog, that's not fiction. Very dull and unintelligent atheist. A claim is not a fiction. Lol, I beg you, come up with your own thought and way of response and stop doing copy copy. Olod0 Please.Lol, when we answer a fool with his own foolish words, he doesn't like the taste of his own medicine. Stop crying and face the truth. Your long, boring epistle does not contain any stats of rape incidents being rare. All incidents in a 4000 year span cannot be recorded in one small book. Like you said, only the important ones were recorded. Stop typing long epistles only for it to end up being rubbish. Please, I beg.Your unintelligent brain cannot decipher what I said because you have a very low IQ. Everyone knows that the number of recorded occurrences of an event in history is highly suggestive of the prevalence or non prevalence of such an occurrent during the period under review. Says the one copying someone's responses and sending it back as his own thought.Says the dullard who cannot afford to apply his lopsided viewpoints to matters but reasons on a one way traffic. When he's myopic views are thrown back at him, he cries like a baby. Another copy and paste. A baby Christian without the thought of his own. I've already made my point, I won't go in circles with you. Your remaining rants is for your family members o. 😂 Make dem read am.Another cry cry after his jaundiced reasoning style is thrown back at him, and his stupidity exposed. I would continue to expose your stupidity until you get sense. |
kingxsamz:How does it prove it is not rare? Is that how your teacher taught you to arrive at conclusions? Nawa. You must have received very poor education. No wonder you're a dedicated foolish atheist.🥱 Yeah, I and trees exists, no one can say the same for your imaginary sky daddy though. 🤭And I know God exists because I relate with Him. Only fools say He doesn't. So you think non fictional subjects can be discussed but not argued about? What Ievel of poor reasoning will I call this one now? 😂So you think you can claim Mr Anderson's house does not exist on Fairway Drive, and still go ahead to argue that his house on the same Fairway Drive is not painted blue but green? What level of poor reasoning would I call this one? It doesn't mean it frequently occurred, yes, that's true. But it's also not an indication that it rarely occurred. The only fact is that it was recorded twice. It doesn't mean it frequently occurred, yes, that's true. But it's also not an indication that it rarely occurred. One fact is that it was recorded twice. And another fact is that inferences can be drawn from the frequency of the incidences in the records. If other trivial issues such as lying or bearing false witnesses are recorded in the 4,000yr history, then more incidences of people being stoned for rape would be recorded. Assuming we have 10 cases recorded in the Bible and other extra biblical sources, that's a sure suggestion it frequently occurred. The historical records were clearly detailed with events occurring in the time of each King or Judge. There are details of sentences passed for different crimes. If a crime frequently occurred, it would be recorded more than twice for quite a good number of Kings who reigned during a 4,000yr period. You see how my responses are filled with enlightenment and less insults, unlike yours? It's because I've got something reasonable to say. I'm sure you're beginning to see how unintelligent you are.Your responses are filled with dross and very unintelligent deductions that shows your one traffic reasoning style. After trashing your foolish deductions, I'm sure you're beginning to see how unintelligent you are. Doesn't matter how important you think it is to massacre little babies and children for whatever reason. My point is, since your god massacred those kids, he didn't give THEM(the kids) any chance of repentance unlike what you said.It doesn't matter what you say or think, that's very irrelevant. The Creator of the World has the right to remove whoever He wants at any time as He seems fit. If He decided to remove children before they become monster killer adults, you must be a fool to query that decision because it's the same fools who would query God for not foreseeing and forestalling what those kids would become before they start hurting mankind. |
kingxsamz:Unintelligent atheist dog, how does only two rape cases recorded prove that cases are not rare? Think before typing I'm sorry, but your dog doesn't exist. Trees have more significance than your dog and both fictional and non fictional subjects can be discussed or argued. Say something else. 🥱I'm sorry but you are the dog that exists and trees have more significance that you dog. Both fictional and non fictional subjects can be discussed, but only dogs argue about an entity they claim does not exist. Lol, 0lodo, so if only two cases of masturbation was recorded that means masturbation rarely occurred? Ol0do rabata.Lol olodo dog, if only two cases of masturbation were recorded, that means masturbation frequently occurred? Olodo ràbàtà dog. Okay, since the little ones were stopped from growing that means your dog didn't give them any chance of repentance right? Please make up your mind. Your unintelligent, poorly thought out responses is an insult to some of the few intelligent theists on here. You're still a baby Christian like I said. Happy Sunday.Dog, Judgement upon a nation is judgement upon all. Your lunatic responses are very appalling and, as you cannot see that stopping monsters from growing is a service done to the entire human who would have been hurt by them if allowed to grow into adults, you're really an insult to some of the few intelligent members of your dogfold who call themselves atheists. |
22jumpstreet:My friend, should we start dissecting Isaiah 53 too? Point to any verse in Isaiah 53 that confirms that indeed a servant was referred. |
22jumpstreet:That chapter was not talking about Israel, Ogbeni! Is that how you did your English comprehension in School. The place you underlined was a statement directed to Cyrus, saying "The God of Israel who summons YOU for the sake of Jacob my servant". All the words in that chapter from verse 1 -7 were directed at Cyrus. How exactly was the chapter about Israel? Just because God told Cyrus that He is summoning him to help restore the captivity of Jacob? And for your information, Israel at the time of Cyrus were suffering for their own sins. After being forewarned by many prophets to no avail. They were being justly punished for their inquiries. The suffering servant of Isaiah 53 depicted a sinless personality, humble and chaste who made Himself the sacrificial lamb for the sins of others - not for His own sins. |
kingxsamz:Dog, you're really a dull dog. Your dullness in superlative. If rape was rampant in Israel, the incidences recorded would be more than 2. That only two were recorded shows that the incidents rarely occured. Only 2 were recorded, and infact, one of those two was not rape per say because the husband of the woman was the one who gave her out. It was still rape in a sense, and that's why I included it because the man didn't give her out willingly. A dull dog cannot decipher that when an incident rarely occurs on historical records, it means the rate of occurrence is low. That's why I said, and I repeat "Only 2 incidences were RECORDED". I never said only 2 HAPPENED. That shoes how dull you are. Very dull. But trees exists now. 🤷🏾♂️ it's not even a debate. Can you pretend to be smart for one minute?Who is your father, would you please describe the man or the dog who gave birth to such a dull dog as you? Trees exist the same way God exists. I have you ah example, and told you that it someone made a CLAIM that a Tree does not exist ( a claim is not comic either is it a fiction), he doesn't stupidly go again to argue about the features of his supposedly non-existent tree. The fact that argue about who God is, or what God did completely negates you claim that God does not exist. Let me bring it down to a kindergarten level to help your dull head. If I claim that Mr Robinson does not have a Television in his house. That is to say, a Television does not exist in the house of Mr Robinson, it would then be foolish of me to go argue again that Mr Robinson's Television does not produce quality images. You said a television does not exist in a man's house, yet you're arguing that his television does not produce quality images. Are you not stupid? You're the only one who made an assumption about 2 rape cases happening in 4000 years.Dull dog, if I said RECORDED history, and I indicated the records as I've done, that's no longer and assumption. It is a fact that only 2 incidences were RECORDED. And so, it becomes a valid inference to say that the cases of rape was very low in that 4,000yr history. This gives credence to the fact that the law was effective. So did the little children and babies have 1000 years to repent? If no, how were they given any chance? 🤷🏾♂️Dull dog, a nation includes its adults and its children. Over a period of 1,000yrs, no child repented. They all grew to become monsters. At a point in time, the little monsters must be stopped to growing up to do more evils as their predecessors. Hence judgement is given to cut the tree from its roots, so that the wickedness of that nation would not continue. |
22jumpstreet:Indeed you're a slow spoke. This was your post below: Isaiah 53 is about a suffering servant...The servant is suffering because of what they where doing to him. In Isaiah 45:1-7 and in Seven other places Isaiah already told you who the servant is....read it and get sense...Here above, you said Isaiah told us who he was talking about in Isaiah 45:1-7 This is Isaiah 45:1-7 "This is what the Lord says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you hidden treasures, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me. I am the Lord, and there is no other; apart from me there is no God. I will strengthen you, though you have not acknowledged me, so that from the rising of the sun to the place of its setting people may know there is none besides me. I am the Lord, and there is no other. I form the light and create darkness, I bring prosperity and create disaster; I, the Lord, do all these things." Now, tell us how this above scripture you quoted was talking about Israel, and prove to us that you're not a slow spoke. |
22jumpstreet:My God! How on earth is Cyrus the suffering servant? In what way did Cyrus suffer? 1. How was Cyrus bruised for anyone's iniquity? 2. How was Cyrus wounded for anyone's sins? 3. How was the chastisement of anyone's peace laid on Cyrus? 4. How did we esteem Cyrus smitten of God and afflicted? 5. How did Cyrus take away anyone's sorrow or pains? 6. How the visage of Cyrus changed so that he had not beauty for anyone to desire him? 7. How was Cyrus cut off the earth for anybody's iniquity? 8. How did Cyrus make his soul a sacrifice for sin and saw his generation afterwards? 9. How was Cyrus led to the slaughter like a sheep dumb before its shearers? 10. How did God lay upon Cyrus "The inquity of us all." Or should I start dissecting the entire Isaiah 53 to make you see how Cyrus didn't fulfil that too? This is spiritual blindness of a very high order! |
kingxsamz:Dog, all important incidences that happened in Israel were recorded. That's why the books were called historical books. If you don't believe that all the rape incidences were captured in the Bible, then, bring your own evidences against me. Dog, stop reasoning like a cock. Dogs should reason better than cocks even though they can't reason like humans. Duh, that's how arguments work. 💁🏾♂️No, only you and your dogfold argue on none existent characters. Humans don't. Did they tell you in school that only existing characters can be discussed or argued about?Dog, when fictions are being discussed, everyone knows it's fiction. Fiction is different from claims. No human makes a claim denying the existent of someone and still makes him his point of argument. It is only a lunatic that would claim Trees do not exist, and still go and argue that Trees don't have branches. Anyway, I don't expect a dog to understand the difference between fictions and claims. Lol, you're pained and I'm enjoying it. 😂Dog, if it's more than 2 cases, bring your 3rd case. You want us to base the argument on unproven assumptions rather than recorded history? Is that how unintelligent you are? Anyway, you're a dog. You can't be more intelligent. Okay, that means your dog doesn't give chance for repentance always, unlike what you said, right?Okay, dog, that means 1,000 years is not enough years given for a nation to repent, right? So, you're daft, pick a side and stop embarrassing your parents. |
22jumpstreet:That's how prophecies are given in present tense at times. Sometimes even in past tenses! Are you new to the scriptures! There are many prophecies in scripture like that. This is another future prophecy that was made in past tense! "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." ~ Isaiah 53:5 NKJV Isaiah was particularly known for giving his prophecies this way. Infact, the whole of Isaiah 53 was written this way, and there wasn't any contemporary human Isaiah was referring to at the time of that prophecy. So, you ignored every other part of the prophecy which Hezekiah didn't fulfil just because the prophecy was made in present tense? SMH. |
22jumpstreet:Did Isaiah mention that the child was Hezekiah? There were many children who were already born. How exactly did the prophecy apply to Hezekiah of all the children born at the time? Hope I am not talking to a JSS 2 student. Because if you have even written junior WAEC you would not reason like that. |
22jumpstreet:You showed me nothing. You proved nothing. Only referring me to scriptures that proved nothing. I have dissected the passage for you. You can then believe whatever you want after reading the truth. |
22jumpstreet:He had the vision in the days of those kings. He didn't solely have the vision about them. Isaiah 1 to 66 were prophetic visions of Isaiah from the reign of Uzziah until the reign of Hezekiah. This only helps us to place the date and time when the prophecies were given, and not who the prophecies were about. Read 2 Kings 18-20. Show me your own proofsOf course 2 kings 18-20 is not a new passage to me. Now let me show you my proof in the absence of yours. Let's look at the passage again: Isaiah 9:6-7 "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end." 1. For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, The opening sentence here makes the child a special gift. Not just an ordinary child. A gift from God. "Unto us a child is given." Now, in what sense could Hezekiah be regarded as a special child or a special gift from God? It was his mistake that prepared the ground for the Babylonian captivity of Israel (Isaiah 39:1-9). His child Manasseh and his grandson Amon were the most wicked kings Israel ever had. 2. and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Hezekiah was never called by these names or titles. These are God's names and titles. The titles were to be borne by a man upon whose shoulders the will government would be placed. The government is a human government by a man who is bearing God's names and titles. This makes it messianic. 3. Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. The government has endless greatness and endless peace. Hezekiah s government had none of this. There were turmoils during his reign. He didn't have endless greatness or endless peace. For someone to have endless greatness and peace, that person must be endless himself. Hence, an endless king is implied. Only the Messiah can be that endless King. Even when Isaiah berated Hezekiah for opening his treasures to the Babylonian emissaries and told his the repercussion of his actions. What was his response? Isaiah 39:5-8 "Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, “Hear the word of the Lord Almighty: 6 The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your predecessors have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the Lord. 7 And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood who will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.” 8 “The word of the Lord you have spoken is good,” Hezekiah replied. For he thought, “There will be peace and security in my lifetime.” He was satisfied as long as he had peace in his own days. He cared less if there was no peace in the days of his child! How can endless peace be attributed to such an one. The passage is messianic and has no reference to Hezekiah at all. |
22jumpstreet:Please how does 2nd king 18 - 20 prove that the chapter is talking about Hezekiah. Note: I have read the chapters several times without number, and I can't find a single proof that Isaiah 9:6 was a reference to Hezekiah. |
