God already told the Israelites the curses and repercussions that'll follow them if they ever do what the Canaanites did in Deuteronomy 14 and many other portions of scripture. And that's exactly what He did. He punished them with severe famines, pestilences and sent them to horrible captivity. The only reason why He didn't annihilate them was because of their father Abraham who really served God in His days.

The fools know all these but they've chosen damnation to their souls to attack the Almighty God in their stupidity.

So many biblical characters are in the Quran which include Jesus, Moses, Joseph, Abraham, Mary, Isaac and a host of others.
The Quran acknowledges Jesus as God sent but not as his son, which is logical in every sense. Jesus is mentioned 33 times in the Quran, this tells how Jesus is well regarded. Any Christian that thinks they know so much will be humbled if they open the Quran.

There's a lot mistakes in the now circulated Bible which after undergoing many translations from language to language and certain books being omitted has lost it's true sense of message. The old testament was written in a now dead ancient Hebrew language.

The Quran is more accurate with the pronunciations of Biblical names than the Bible itself. Take Jesus for example, there's no letter J in the hebrew or greek language. Where did the J in Jesus name come from? See the error? Muslims call him Isa. Isa is closer to the how the name should be pronounced which is Iēsous or Yeshua.

The Quran is so accurate that Mary the mother of Jesus is said to be the daughter of Amram who died over 2,000yrs before Mary was born. Is it true that Moses and Aaron are brothers of Mary who was born about 2,000 yrs after Moses and Aaron had died?

Thanks for this exposition. I have always perceived that atheists are possessed. No sane human can ever say or do the things they do without being controlled and spurred on by forces higher than them. God has already revealed Himself in nature and in diverse ways. He owes no man any emperical manifestation. Your denial of God costs God nothing. Blashpheme all you could until your cup is full. If you fail to repent, He'll bring you to judgement.

Atheists are indeed possessed. Their level of foolishness is legendary. The way demons possess a mind is very subtle. They suggest things into your mind but make it sound like your personal thoughts.

Let me illustrate.

Assuming a demon wants you to commit murder, the process goes as follows:

You: I am seriously angry with Mr. Kay.

Demon (infuses his thoughts into your mind using personifications): How dare he do that to me?

You: Me of all people?

Demon: I must teach him a lesson.

Demon: He overstepped his boundary already. I must revenge.

Demon: He deserves to die!

You: He must die!

Demon: I will kill him. I would not rest until he's dead.

Demon: He must die. He must die. I will kill him. He must die.

All the while the demon was suggesting, you'll be thinking that you're the one having those thoughts. He'll silence your mind and take over.

Once you allow a negative thought, the demon quickly comes to take over your thoughts, using personifications. They use the words I, me, we or our to put you in context. All the while, you'll be attributing those suggestions to yourself, thinking you're the one doing the thinking. All these while, your emotions are being negatively stirred up to act according to the contents of your thoughts.

In the final stages, there'll be constant repetitions such as seen above- I will kill him, he must die, I will kill him, I will kill him, he must die... This is done to reinforce the idea and have a total grip on your mind. At this stage, you're ready to act. Your eyes will open only after the deed is done or when you're caught red handed, and the demon has left you to your fate. You'll start saying 'I don't know what came over me.'

All that while when the demon was working on you, you'll shut down the still small voice of your conscience in favour of the demonic noise going on in your mind.

Once demons gain control of your mind, they can make you do or become anything they want. All they need to do is to get you to the reinforcement stage. The stages are broader are subtler than what I illustrated above. This is just a summary. It could take minutes, days, weeks or even months to reach the final stages. It's a process

Demons control you through your thought life.

That's why 2 Corinthians 10:5 asks us to be Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The only way to overcome this form of demonic attack is to declare 'I reject that thought/suggestion in Jesus name! You evil spirit scheming to take over my mind, I command you to leave right now in Jesus name! I cast down every thought and every imagination that is contrary to the will of God in my life in Jesus name! I set my mind free from every satanic influence in Jesus mighty name!' Afterwards, just look for a scripture to meditate upon. Think on heavenly things.

It takes the divine and miraculous intervention of the Spirit of God for an atheist to be delivered from the demonic captivity into which he has unknowingly put himself.

It's very foolish for anyone to establish his/her life on science. Science is constantly shifting grounds based on new discoveries. Just like the Dalton Atomic Theory which was once held in high esteem by scientists have now become trash, evolution too would become trash some day as a result of some new findings. I pity all atheists who die blaspheming God and taking a foolhardy journey into eternity as though they're already so perfect in knowledge to be so sure that God does not exist.

May God have mercy on their souls who are still alive. Those who have died already have their fate sealed. There's no remedy for them. It's a pity.

Your apology is accepted but I do not hold any resentment against you. I just want you to know that I don't hate Deeper Life members. We're all members of the same body, and I love them fervently with the love of Christ which is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which has been given unto us. I still hosted some Pastors' wives in my house of recent.

Even as a father rebukes because he loves the child, a true brother would not engage in flatteries but to speak the truth as it is. The truth is always bitter but delivers good rewards to those who love it.

Finally, let's hear the words of David the sweet psalmist of Israel who was also opportune to walk in the Wisdom of God:

Psalm 141:5

5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head:"

May the Lord Jesus, that Great Shepherd of the flock keep us established in the faith, sanctify us wholly and make us unblameable in His Presence on that day.

When I turned back, it was one of those Yoruba men who walk about selling native herbs to cure so many sicknesses eg Jedi-Jedi (Sugar problem) or pile etc. He had some small small bottles in his hands with some herbs inside. And I asked him what he said again, he said that there is woman who threatened me. That the woman took my name to a DEITY around Andoni to kill me. That the date is in 2 days time but can be averted. He asked if we could speak later because my family was there with me. I agreed and he took my phone number...

When you know you're not interested in hearing the truth, why did you create a thread? I've been to Deeper Life and many other churches. No church is perfect. I've lived with many Deeper Life members. I don't hate Deeper Life. What I said about them is the truth from the experience I've had with quite a number of them. If you created this thread to argue instead of lending a listening ear and going back to the church to positively influence the church, then, you're insincere.

I'll regard you as an hypocrite if you created this thread to hear only good things said about Deeper Life. I guess you'll have been so happy if I have lied to you that Deeper Life members are perfect. Oh, oh, they're so good and nice. All of them are angels. That's why you want to hear, isn't it? Keep deceiving yourself.

Right from the Garden of Eden, He spelt out what He loves and hates.
There are things a real child of God must not do after conversion.
Perhaps you were once a member of Deeper Life but who knows why you left? Maybe you are presently in a 'church' where everything goes.
A backslidder will not feel comfortable with the teachings against sin and worldliness.
I don't know the Deeper Life members who were or are your neighbours but we know that haters are fond of fault-finding, false accusations, exaggerations and biased judgement.
All these hateful comments cannot change one's stand before God neither does it stop new members from trooping into Deeper Life on weekly basis. I heard so much of it yet it didn't stop me from joining Deeper Life.
For your information, pastor Kumuyi is not changing the biblical truth he has been teaching and standing on for more than 50 years.

I read on that same thread that there's a selected group of dedicated Muslims who have been organised and given a job to refute the embarrassing things in Islam. Their own job is to refute using Taqiyya. They have nothing else they do aside that.

I almost shed tears when I put myself in the shoes of Safiya. The pain and agony she must have experienced that day is out of this world. Mohammed killed all family members and still raped her same day. This is too wicked, meanwhile the mad man who committed these atrocities is some people's prophet.

On page 180, I saw this again from the noble prophet:

Narrated Abu Said: A man came to the prophet and said, ‘My brother has got loose motions. The Prophet said, Let him drink honey.” The man again (came) and said, ‘I made him drink (honey) but that made him worse.’ The Prophet said, ‘Allah has said the Truth, and the abdomen of your brother has told a lie.” (Sahih Bukhari 7:71:614)

Some other silly statements from the prophet of allahh:

1. Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “When any human being is born. Satan touches him at both sides of the body with his two fingers, except Jesus, the son of Mary, whom Satan tried to touch but failed, for he touched the placenta-cover instead.” (Sahih Bukhari 4:54:506). By my limited understanding, it means that satan touched Mohammed when he was born, according to Mohammed himself.

2. Narrated 'Abdullah : A person was mentioned before the Prophet and he was told that he had kept on sleeping till morning and had not got up for the prayer. The Prophet said, "Satan urinated in his ears." (Sahih Bukhari 2:21:245)

Mohammed must also be a good comedian besides a con man.

You're still tight. And infact, we're on the same page. That's why I said earlier that every church has its own share of anomalies. Canal people are more than the spiritually minded. I can go on to talk about other churches as well but right now, Deeper Life is the point of discussion, and everything I said about them is true. You can visit the church to confirm. You'll see things more clearly if you have them as neighbors.

Christianity is individualistic. The point is to serve God with all sincerity of heart while striking a balance between grace and works.
