DELIVER US, O GOD ALMIGHTY

Like in a trance, I saw heavy manipulations going on in several places across the country Nigeria since yesterday. What we would have as election results might have been altered. I did not see clearly the candidate or party behind the alleged manipulations. Votes from cities and popular places may not be tampered with but those from remote places. How it is being done I did not understand.
God of Heaven and Earth, we have done our parts at the polls. We know you can use anyone of the presidential candidates to deliver Nigeria. Look not on our sins, O Lord but on the fate and the faith of the faithfuls.
Like the Israelites of old, many prefer the old Egypt than the Promised Land. Though we might not have seen clearly what awaits us, we know that your choice is the best.
Deal with the evil ones, we pray you Lord, as you dealt with Pharaoh and his Chariots (Exodus 14). Respond to our accusers as you did for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego (Daniel 3: 16 – 28). Grant us peace, with the confidence that whatever the result of the 2023 general election in Nigeria is with your divine permission (John 19:11).
May your will be done, O Lord. And, not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake (Psalm 115).
Amen.

Our leaders should stop deceiving us.
Those guys at the creeks should be rehabilitated and encouraged to expand their "refinery".

ALWAYS !

Though a personal act which should remain PERSONAL, It is good to confess once again that I PRAY ALWAYS.

I recite: Bismillah hir rahman nir rahim; and have taught my subconscious to carry on the recitation even when I am not aware.

With this recitation, I am constantly reminded that whatever I do, I do in God's name. With this, God helps me to overcome temptations every now and then. With this, I am PEACEFUL and HAPPY.

Religion / The Importance Of Prayer by fxx2: 10:25am On Jul 24, 2022
THE IMPORTANCE OF PRAYER

The first act that the believer will be accountable for on the Day of Judgement will be PRAYER. If the PRAYER life is good, then the rest of his acts will be good. And if it is deficient, then the rest of his acts will be deficient.

The importance of PRAYER is so great that one is ordered to observe it in all occasions, whether one is healthy or sick, whether one prays standing, sitting or lying down, whether one is traveling or residing and whether one is safe or in fear. PRAYER is our key to success in this world and in the hereafter.

Successful indeed are the believers who are humble in their PRAYERS, and who pay heed to their PRAYERS. These are the heirs who will inherit Paradise.

Furthermore, prayer time should also be a time of remorse and repentance, such that we earnestly ask God for forgiveness for those sins that we committed. In addition, the prayer in itself is a good deed that wipes away some of the evil deeds that we performed.

WHY DO WE PRAY?

Prayer is a commandment of God; God has commanded us to pray to Him, and to Him alone. In times of distress, we must turn to God for help; in times of comfort, we must express our gratitude to God; and when all goes well with us, we must still pray to God daily that He continue to show us His mercy and grant us our daily needs.

In our prayers to God we often address Him as our Merciful Father, or as our Father in Heaven, for God regards us, and we regard ourselves, as His children. The question may be asked, why do we have to pray to our Father in Heaven for our daily needs? Does God not know our needs even better than we our-selves? Is God not by His very nature, good and kind, and always willing to do us good? After all, children do not "pray" to their loving parents to feed them, and clothe them, and protect them; why should we pray to our Heavenly Father for these things?

Different people attempted to provide answer to these questions. But, like all other commandments which God has commanded us to do, not for His sake but for ours, He has commanded us to pray to Him for our sake. God does not need our prayer; He can do without our prayers, but we cannot do without our prayers. It is good for us to acknowledge our dependence on God for our very life, our health, our daily bread, and our general welfare. And we should do so every day, and many times a day. We must often remind ourselves that our life and happiness are a gift from our Merciful Creator.

MEANING OF PRAYER

The Hebrew word Tefilah (תפילה) is generally translated into English as the word "prayer." But this is not an accurate translation, for to pray means to beg, beseech, implore, and the like, for which we have a number of Hebrew words which more accurately convey this meaning. Our daily prayers are not simply requests addressed to God to give us our daily needs and nothing more. Of course, such requests are also included in our prayers, but by and large our prayers are much more than that.

In all the available definitions and meanings of prayer, I take it that PRAYER is a connection between the human and their Creator. This was established from the Arabic word Salah (صَلاة), originating from the word silah which means connection.

Romance / Re: I'm So Addicted To Prostitutes. I Feel Suicidal. by fxx2: 10:15am On Jan 26, 2022
I suggest you marry a prostitute.

Choose among your numerous customers and discuss your problem in details. There are many good people among the prostitutes. They are not that bad as humans. I am not promoting prostitution but, if out of the ten commandments one seem to be "guilty" of only one, I think 90% is not bad. Besides, sexual intercourse is not a sin or crime. We are all product of it.

First make one of them a 'girl friend'. Before you make your choice among them, be sure to look out for the relatively good side of the woman. Discuss issues of life with the person without talking marriage. Your problem is addiction to sex, not really prostitutes. Once the chosen woman understands your problem (and of course she will 'suffocate' you with sex), she could be of help as a friend/ wife. She will know how to tame you from other women. If she understands you well, she might not find it too offensive if you 'cheat' on her (but remember she will always be a woman: jealous). I believe such person would be the best therapist that can give you a permanent solution.

Warning:
Be careful when discussing such issues with a woman you wish to be with. Such person may be interested with your wealth. She may play cool but not really with you. Such may also subject you to 'spiritual' powers to keep you in control.

Interestingly, ALL dressed uniformly, full of Happiness.

Bishop Godfrey Igwebuike Onah is loved and admired by many for his closeness to his people, among many.

He further wrote:

Come let us walk together, in the light of the Lord.

Now that the daylight dies away,
By all thy grace and love,
Thee, Maker of the world, we pray
To watch our bed above.
Let dreams depart and phantoms fly,
The offspring of the night,
Keep us, like shrines, beneath thine eye,
Pure in our foe’s despite.
This grace on thy redeemed confer,

And Holy Ghost, the Comforter,

You need to understand this to rise above the limitations of fellow CHILDREN running the Church and focus on pleasing the FATHER. Crime / How Has The Strike By Judicial Workers Affected You? by fxx2: 2:19am On May 03, 2021
The umbrella body of judiciary workers in Nigeria, the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), had on April 1, 2021, directed its members across the country to shut down all courts on Tuesday, April 6, a directive that has since crippled both court proceedings and commercial activities within the courts’ premises.

The effects were not seriously felt at the beginning. Judicial workers, businesses, and individuals all have stories to tell.

For example,

A lawyer will have no one to represent in the courts, hence NO PAYMENT.
A lawyer narrated how he was frustrated by the daily calls from the family of his clients, currently being remanded at the correctional centre for a minor offence.
He said that the court had granted them bail, which they were unable to perfect and this landed them in the correctional center before the judiciary embarked on strike.
He further said that the matter has been settled between the nominal complainant, but as a result of the strike, the correctional service officers could not produce the accused.

Similarly, a friend had a minor issue that led to the suspension of his BUSINESS BANK ACCOUNT. The matter had been resolved but the bank needs a court order to FREE the ACCOUNT. Now he has millions of naira trapped, injuring his business badly.

Unfortunately, the end seems not to be near.

What has been your personal experience?
What is your opinion on the matter?

Education / Is It True That UNN Does Not Offer Chemical Engineering? by fxx2: 10:00am On Jan 23, 2020

https://web.facebook.com/madu.abuchi.14?__tn__=%2CdCH-R-R&eid=ARDAwEvQ4G4g4B_SZhb1WCeCOzSNP5FusHvkqFiMh4Hd7qgXWS2KFt5LKbsGxY70T4yiN_hNbgHJSA2C&hc_ref=ARQIoHwzxsSJmY0FI1Vl0_c-TM9lWmf4azAIMYaW6L_4DBUhMk2SyJkvL1r5S4gZpqY&fref=nf

Have you ever wondered why University of Nigeria Nsukka doesn't offer chemical engineering as a course? Here is the reason..
This University now known as UNN, had it's Chemical Engineering
department permanently closed down after the war, because of the level of research, developments and inventions it churned out for the Biafran soldiers.
Kudos to the renowned Professor Gordian Ezekwe who led a team of scientists in what was known as Biafran Research and Production Unit, RAP. This think-tank group made up of
Sylvester Akalonu, Benjamin Nwosu,
Willy Achukwu and Okezie Confidence and more were tasked to develop rockets, bombs, telecommunication
gadgets and develop the fractionation model used for operating the modular crude oil refineries designed and operated by Biafrans.
The refinery that Nigeria can't build today was single handedly designed
and operated by these Biafran wizards. They refined aviation fuels
that powered their amarnents and planes.
If you had wondered why UNN doesn't offer Chemical Engineering as
a course, know that the federal government of Nigeria closed down
the department for fear of the devasting knowledge base of the Biafran man.

Crime / The Kidnapped, Renamed, Converted, Sold Children by fxx2: 10:27am On Oct 14, 2019
We’re getting it all twisted.

The news about 9 kidnapped Kano children that were renamed and converted to Christianity before they were sold for either adoption or slavery has been making headline recently. This unfortunate crime was reported in the online Daily Nigeria of Tuesday, 12th of October, 2019. According to the report, taking samples of two of the children with original names as Umar Faruk Ibrahim and Aisha Muhammad Abdullahi were renamed as Onyedika Ogbodo and Ozioma Ogbodo respectively before they converted to Christianity and be sold out.

Many have reacted to this development, emphasizing mostly on “RENAMED AND CONVERTED” more than “KIDNAPPED” and “SLAVERY”. The fact here is that these children were “KIDNAPPED” and “SOLD OUT FOR SLAVERY”. Before I continue, it is my opinion that the criminals involved, including all accomplices at every stage should be QUICKLY prosecuted and EXECUTED. Execution may sound harsh but I cannot imagine having someone I know, whether friend or enemy kidnapped.

Now, we should understand that kidnapping is a means, and the end is always heartbreaking. We should look beyond renaming and converting as is observed in the recent case. Many victims were killed for rituals and sacrifices, raped, subjected to hard labour, used for terrorism, etc. The end transcends renaming and conversion. Imagine the physical and psychological torture the victims and their relatives undergo when the kidnappers are at work? It is something you would not wish on anyone if you really have a soul.

On the issue of conversion, I once read a story of a Hindu who murdered a Muslim during an uprising. The Hindu, filled with guilt, approached his spiritual leader, Mahatma Gandhi who told him that he would not be able to resurrect the victim but he must adopt the victim’s surviving son, and MUST RAISE HIM A MUSLIM. It was an almost impossible task but that was the only solution offered by Gandhi. In the present case, the issue is not just renaming and converting because, the criminals kidnapped these children perhaps for the financial return. There is no way they could make a good sale without “repackaging their goods (God forbid)” for maximum profit. That’s what probably brought about the “renaming and conversion”.

I am a Christian who has been helped a lot in my faith by my contact with Islam. I have studied the Vedas, Quran and Bible and have not been told by any of them to kidnap for any reason, including conversion. Also, there are many channels for adoption if that could be projected for the crime. And as for conversion, the first and perhaps the best tool is my conduct. Christians were called so because they were conducting themselves like Christ who went about doing good, even to those who wanted him down. Gandhi would say, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.” Kofi Atta Annan also observed that” the problem is not with the faith, but with the faithful.’

As we continue to analyze this evil, let us look beyond tribe, religion and political affiliations. The fact is that Kidnapping is a deadly crime that is becoming popular in Nigeria, and must be nipped in the bud. Workable solutions should be propagated rather than dwelling on how bad the crime might be. Remember, Evans (Chukwudubem Onwuamadike) is an Igbo and perhaps a Christian, and most of his victims are also Igbos and Christians. Also, the insurgents in the North-East claim they are fighting Jihad, and most of their victims and recruits are perhaps Muslims.

In search for solution, the judicial process in Nigeria has much to offer. Trial and execution of criminals like kidnappers should not be politicized. The police, the court, and all the agencies involved in this process should sit up when such crimes are committed. Then the masses have their own roles to play. Sometimes we suspect some criminal activities and claim ignorance perhaps because it does not directly affect us. There are other instances where security issues are discussed and appropriate steps suggested by the experts but we in our Nigerian attitude would not heed until victimized. Like in the present situation, maybe no one reported and followed up when a child, whether his or not goes missing. The system in Nigeria might have been jeopardized but I trust the Nigerian police in cases like this.

Above all, the many people that are crying against this crime are aware of many children roaming the streets without home or no one to call a father. We should not wait until these criminals take such advantages before we take action. I believe that if every child in Nigeria wakes up each morning under the care of his/her parents/ guardian who would expect to see him/her go to bed at the end of the day; kidnappers such as in the present case would be out of business. And in situations beyond our diligence, we should remember that we have One and Only God watching us all, including victims and the criminals. He does not fail us, only if we can trust him.

In case you have forgotten, this is Nigeria . . .

There was a man called Chief MKO Abiola.

In 1994 Moshood Abiola declared himself the lawful president of Nigeria in the Epetedo area of Lagos island, an area mainly populated by (Yoruba) Lagos Indigenes. He had recently returned from a trip to win the support of the international community for his mandate. After declaring himself president he was declared wanted and was accused of treason and arrested on the orders of military President General Sani Abacha, who sent 200 police vehicles to bring him into custody. MKO Abiola has been referred to as Nigeria's greatest statesman. His second wife Alhaja Kudirat Abiola was assassinated in Lagos in 1996 after declaring public support for her husband.

Moshood Abiola was detained for four years, largely in solitary confinement with a Bible, Qur'an, and fourteen guards as companions. During that time, Pope John Paul II, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and human rights activists from all over the world lobbied the Nigerian government for his release. The sole condition attached to the release of Chief Abiola was that he renounce his mandate, something that he refused to do, although the military government offered to compensate him and refund his extensive election expenses. For this reason Chief Abiola became extremely troubled when Kofi Annan and Emeka Anyaoku reported to the world that he had agreed to renounce his mandate after they met with him to tell him that the world would not recognise a five-year-old election.

Moshood Abiola married many wives; notable among them are Simibiat Atinuke Shoaga in 1960, Kudirat Olayinka Adeyemi in 1973, Adebisi Olawunmi Oshin in 1974, Doyinsola (Doyin) Abiola Aboaba in 1981, Modupe Onitiri-Abiola and Remi Abiola. He fathered many children.

Abiola died in suspicious circumstances shortly after the death of General Abacha, on the day that he was due to be released, 7 July 1998. While the official autopsy stated that Abiola died of natural causes, Abacha's Chief Security Officer, al-Mustapha has alleged that Moshood Abiola was in fact beaten to death. Al-Mustapha, who was detained by the Nigerian government, but later released, claims to have video and audiotapes showing how Abiola was beaten to death. The final autopsy report, which was produced by a group of international coroners has never been publicly released. Regardless of the exact circumstances of his death, it is clear that Chief Abiola received insufficient medical attention for his existing health conditions.

As recounted at the time in a BBC interview with special envoy Thomas R. Pickering, an American delegation which included Susan Rice visited Abiola; during their meeting with him, Abiola fell ill, with what was presumed to be a heart attack which caused his death.

What is any of your enemies target and kill a foreign observer during election, do you think you are free?

Politics / Re: BREAKING: Roads Won’t Be Closed For Buhari’s Visit, Says Lagos Govt by fxx2: 2:31pm On Feb 08, 2019
Can't really tell if Buhari is corrupt or not.

I'm only concerned about the official working hours being spent for campaign, by himself and himself who should be reporting to office duties.

What about the travel costs? Is it APC that is providing the means of transportation and other logistics for the campaign?

He should have stepped aside for his campaign exercises while his vice attend to day-to-day affairs as the president.

For this, at least, his INTEGRITY is questionable.
