Why is everybody talking about transmission... Honda gear box is almost the strongest.
U will hardly see a Honda car with transmission problem. Granted the rings easily fumes. Original Honda piston and rings are costly for normal mechanics to buy.
U can budget for engine and half and top with the whole recession factored in can't cost u up-to 50k.
But Honda baby boy transmission will not have any problem If u change ur gear oil and service the sensor as at when due.

Lolz, no thiefing please was basing my estimate on a quotation for converting an Honda Civic hybrid to conventional that I got from Honda expert . The job also involves engine and gear replacement.

But please... When u ask a mech especially a dealership to give u quotation like "everything needed to convert" ....they often treat it like a contract. Whatever price u get is inflated.
Baby boy is a 97/98 car. The parts aren't costly.
I don't know about now, but it's full engine and gear cannot be up-to 200k
