USCIS PAYMENT & ELIS ACCOUNT CREATION: Pls take note, this might apply to you in nearest future.

Preamble:
G2Glory: The payment of USCIS immigrant fee of $165 is a MUST for those issued visa from February 2013 & this effect payment before immigrant leave for USA. To make payment through credit/debit card, it requires opening ELIS account ((https://elis.uscis.dhs.gov) or (www.uscis.gov)) before making online payment.

Issue/Challenge:
I had tried creating this ELIS account on several occassions but alway encountered repeated challenge on step 4 "Choose Security Preference", any time i clicked next button to take me to next page to enter the Personal Identity Question, it just came up with an error message (ERROR: Online access to your account has been revoked. Your account is now locked.The maximum number of unsuccessful attempts (3x) has been reached. Due to security reasons, your account has been locked.

I need someone in the house that can be of help most especially those people that did pay for their USCIS immigrant fee. or is there other way to make this payment. - Urgent answer pls.

Sorry my brother, many people had also encountered dis problem b4 it was due to IP address issue.... there 2 tins involve now as solution 1st: use anoda email address and start from d scratch still doesn't work?
2nd: if u are using ur own system, download and install browser called" tor browser" and use it to create ur account from d beginning using diff email address.....or 3rd find someone to help u create ur account over here in US on ur behalf

The principal diversity visa applicant must have a high school education, or its equivalent, or two years of qualifying work experience, under provisions of United States (U.S.) law. This was explained in the DV Instructions for your eDV entry.

High School Education: A high school education means successful completion of a formal course of elementary and secondary education comparable to completion of a 12-year course in the U.S. " www.travel.state.gov"

Please pardon my ignorance if i am wrong- what was the WAEC/NECO requirements for admission leading to your National Diploma? If the four credits are enough why not do away with the WAEC result & present only the NECO result.

There is no crime in that. Go there with your school ID card & possibly your last semester/session course form (approved by your dean/HOD).

Admission letter is okay, at least it will inform when you are admitted. Also, try & get prepare for interview asap. All is well i Jesus name & rejoice.

What about your letter from the place you did your IT or reference letter from your school to the company where you actually did your IT.

Let me start by congratulating you. Pls note that you do not need to worry yourself about the primary school leaving certifcate (u don't need that any longer) since you have National Diploma & WAEC/NECO result, it superseed the primary leaving certificate.

The mistake in your DOB as shown on your WAEC result can be corrected (-there were similar cases before 2013 thread) but not too worry, since information on your international passport is the same that you used on DV lotterry - you are good to go.

Just a question, the mistake you mentioned, was it only on WAEC or both NECO(2006) & WAEC (2005)? I will the error was just on your WAEC & d information is correct on NECO, better stick with your NECO result.

Have you sent your form to KCC, don't waste time doing that please

Atandaishola794: Forumites thanks for your numerous sound advises. I have statutory age declaration certificat e obtained from a high court since 1987. This is what i have been using for all my transactions. Do i still need to obtain the NPC birth certificate for this interview?

Beloved, my candid advice is fo you to get the NPC attestation of age. I am not sure if that delaration of age is accepatble (pls read the requirement). It will cost you just between 2,500 & 4,000 naira.

I had a birth certificate that was issued in the 80's despite that i was born in d 70's because i was not too convince if it was acceptable or not. i went for NPC certificate so as to be on a safer side. This opportunity worth such investment.

Guys with useful contact should help out pls. The maximum payment shouldn't exceed 4K (including the N2,500).

Please other should learn from this, try & give considerable time to get all your documentation ahead of the interview date. Guys they knew what you intend using it for & such some people may want to capitalise on that to take 'undue advantage' of others.

Forumites with contact should intervene by way of introducing him to someone over there.

Two (2) weeks officially & most time it is just to scare away but if you cannot wait 2 weeks. Polite approach them & talk to some of the young guys there. I think they will help you out if you discuss with anyone of them in private - it might cost extra to get it out < 3 days.

For others, pls take note & make sure go there with possibly extra money (N300 or N400) for typing of the cover letter & some photocopies across the road. Do not forget your affidavit & 2 passport photographs as well.

ekwynox: Good day forumites. thanks to everyone who has been bettering the lives of NLanders. I did my medicals on monday 25/11/2013. the consultation fee was N12000 and then three vaccines (Varicella, tetanus toxoid and MMR) at N18000, totalling N30000. the police report was N3000.

Good to hear. You should be close to 100% ready for the interview. Gather all the required documents with photocopies.

Arrange them in the order (see previous posting on that). Plan your logistic very well & be there on time. I wish you all the best

My little advice is that they should proceed with the information received based on their 2NL. The only thing i am sure of was that their intial form wouldn't have been accepted if they failed to attached the baby's photo then. It worth giving all the sort & risk.
Let them go to the interview with all supporting documents - birth certificate, family photgraph with the boy showing different stages.
Pls don't give up - it's a life time opportunity. Pray that the spirit of peace of God rule your heart & be calm. Wishing the family all the best.

After successful interview, your visa is valid for six months i.e you have six (6) months to leave Nigeria & if you desire to return to Nigeria from USA you are expected not exceed 6 months outside USA.

Malcolm28: Good day Forumites. Hope you all had a great weekend. I and my family flew into Lagos with the 1st Flight to begin the countdown to our interview next week tuesday. Pretty much everything is in place except medicals and Police Report. Will be going for medicals tomorrow morning at The Consultants Practice (Children's Practice in Ikoyi and then Alagbon for Police report. Any new ideas will be welcome. Wish everyone the best as we all pray to get our visas approved.

You are powerfully welcome. Strongly advice that you go to the medical with the records of your children immunization - it will save you a lot of money.

For police report, Alagbon is not far from Ikoyi & you can obtain it same day (1/2 day).

My advice for you on d day of interview is to ensure you leave home pretty early to meet up with your appointment (Lagos traffice is unpredictable). Ensure your documents are well arranged & ready to go & run clean copies of your docs (please do not open your medical result).

If you have not done your medical by now, please proceed to your preferred centre immediately. Avoid putting yourself under unnecessary pressure.

Be prayerful & try a mock/dry run interview with your family members. Read more interview encounter on 2013 & 2014 thread.

No wahala but still commit eveything into God's hand for favour. There were similar situations in 2013 thread & they were successful. Your case will be successful in Jesus name. If you have not received your 2NL, follow this thread to know when you will be current.

Like other forumities. Be presentable, neat and smart. Ensure your outlook resemble the pictures you used when you played the lottery. If your hairs are well grown ... please appear similar. If your picture was without beard pls don't go there fully bearded. Read similar case in 2013 thread.

There was similar situation that nearly lead to the guy being disqualified but he got a rescheduled interview & pass. Avoid unnecesary thing(s) that may raise doubt in the mond of CO

I tried creating the account this morning, after setting up the password & at d point of choosing the security preference. it suddenly came up with the message that my account has been locked. I don't know if anybody had exprienced this in the time past or what is you suggestion pls.

Liewise, the same problem was encoutered by my spouse when applied for resetting of our password. It came up with error message that email address/confirmation code is invalid.

I had already filled the complain form (contact us section). Hust to know way out of it. My plan is to use my GTB visa card (hope it is acceptable), alternatively is it something that someone can pay one's behalf in USA?

Dear forumites, I'm a novice and I need ur advice. This is my story.
A friend gave me the dv lottery form to fill but turned out to be an agent wen he discovered that I'm selected, requesting for 300k cos he has d confirmation no and also intended to merge me (a single lady) with someone else (fake marriage), which I rejected. I gave him some amount which made him allow me to fill the forms and sent them via DHL in Sept. Few days ago I received a mail frm KCC stating that some info are missing on my DS230 form, which happened to be my marital status and spouse's infos.
1. The agent is not aware of the mail sent to me and he is still requesting for 200k.
2. How do I fill the DS 230 form indicating the missing info?
3. Can I send it via mail since the initial forms were sent via DHL?
4. I'm afraid of having different infos wt the previous one sent via DHL cos the agent filled in the address of someone he knew in US as the person I will be staying with, which I don't know. My CN is 2014AF00012***. Pls help me, I'm a novice.

Firstly, congratulation to you. You need to thread carefully so as to be consistent in the information you provided to KCC.

In d form you sent to KCC, did you specified your status as Married or Single? - this is starting point If your form stated Single, the case is easier & better.
The letter from KCC, were you asked to fill another form or just to respond to them via mail. I want us to be very careful in reaching final decision. Waiting to hear from you.

Landed sunday night at the George Bush Airport aboard Qatar airways after 8 hrs stop over in doha, went through the immigration, stopped for a check on my baggade and have my dried meat ( tinko ) , ginger and knoor chicken trashed by the airport screening officials, i was advice before leaving Naija to take red cab home since my host will nto be available to pick me at the airport but i saved $46 by taking a shuttle bus for $34 ( after an intenet search for cheaper shuttle at Doha ) instead of red cab for $80 to my destination ( naija brain ? ).

I am home trying to learn the ropes, gone out sevarally using the metro bus card with effective use of the navigation on my ipad. Its a nice environment here in houston and i am hoping to enjoy every bit of it.

In the meantime, i opened an account with Bank of America already and started spending from the account.......waiting arround for my GC and SSN. I have got some job offers awaiting my documentation.

If you are current in January 2014, you may like get your 2NL end of november. The 2NL comes approximate 9wks to your interview date (based on my own exprience).
