Please take good number of family photo during the naming ceremony to take along during the baby interview. Also don't forget to fill DS 0230 form for the baby to take along during the interview. Darhmee: Guys pls I av a very urgent question..where can I do an age affidavit? Can I just walk into any magistrate court or there is a specific court? And also can I do the affidavit for someone else?You can do it at Ikeja High Court OR Ikoyi -Federal High court depend on which is closer to you. You will need 2 passport photgraph & you can collect it same day within 3 hours - preferably get there early in the morning around 8/9am & it cost btw 1k or 1,500 naira. Doing on someone behalf: If you engage the service of the so called 'tout' without showing your face before the commissioner of oath to sign. The so-called 'tout' may charge you extra money but if you want to appear before the commissioner of oath to sign, this are the requirement. - 2 passport photographs of the owner & 2 passport of yours. - Your mean of identification (National ID or International passport). - You must be related to the person in names (either brother or sister or parent, etc). - You will need to sign for the owner. |

Anthony Lofty: Please my wife gave birth today and our interview is 1st wk of December what do we do?Congratulations on the arrival of the new baby. My advice; - Contact LagosIV notifying them of the new addition to the family. - Process to get the international passport for the baby. - pls make haste to do that on time & do not waste time bc they may dissapoint u at passport office. - Prepare the DS 0230 form for the baby & take it along with you on the day of interview. - Ensure you take along documentary photograph taking during the naming ceremony or child dedication (this is very important); your family photos showing different postures, where you & your spouse with the baby, families , etc. - Go with other requirement like birth certificate, Ante-natal record or EDD records or whatever manner of thing to convince them that truly the baby is yours (even if your wife took pictures during her pregnancy) - Do the baby medical & ready to pay for his USIC fee. Wellton: Please house I need ur help!... I made a change of name(Surname) after my secondary school in 2001. Now all my documents including my GCE results and first degree are in my current surname since then. And I also wrote NECO SSCE in my current name in 2005 but the results were cancelledYou have nothing to worry about, i had a change of name after my first degree & my 2nd degree (PG) was on a new name. All my WASCE/GCE & first degree were in old name. In as much as you have affivadvit for change of name & advert publication in one of the newspaper to support your claim. You are good to go, concerning your testimonial, the school will definitely issue it with your old name & you don't need to tell them to do otherwise. Just think about ladies that got married, all their certificate still carry their maiden name. Ensure you get your supporting document right. I wish you all the best IJN. |

Along Ajose Adeogun Street Walk down this street cos no bike again, Toward the end of the Ajose street you'll see Muri Okunola by your left hand side. You can also ask people at the roundabout...Just ask them for the street don't tell them you're going to DHL office oDear all, For those going for visa collection, please ensure you go there with weather proof material to put your visa package inside because DHL will just handed it over to you without putting it in water proof wrapper. I employ you to kindly request the water proof from them OR better still go there with your own. This is raining season & you need to protect the package very well. |

Listen to this true life story, on a monday (3rd week october 2013) at round 740am, there was a young man on top of okada approaching embassy, this guy looked tired & worn out with him struggling to secure his x-ray jacket while maintaing balance on top of okada. Looking at the whole scenero, the guy appointment might be 7am & before he could rushed in, only the help of God can saved him. I want to encourage you all to please give it all your best shot & you can have after achieving that milestone. For those that believe in God, start committing the day of your interview to God's hand so that nothing will go wrong & your will enjoy divine favour. God bless you ALL. I had a smooth and successful interview at the embassy yesterday. Got to the embassy at 5:45am and at about past 6 a staff of the embassy came to announce to us how the interview session will be condUcted. We were asked to form two lines one line for immigrants and the other for non immigrants. After dat we went through the security checks and finally got a number tag that I used for documentation and the interview. My tag nos was B407. At about past 8. I was called to submitted my documents and by 9:50am my nos beeped I was interviewed at window 14 by a beautiful white woman. I did fingerprint and I sworn to say the truth. My interview questions. CO: Gudmorning Me: Gudmorning Co:pls can I take your finger prints Me: Sure. Later took my oath and interview proper. CO: what year did u finish secondary school Me: 1993 CO: why are you using two WAEC? Me:I did make my English at first sitting so I did GCE to make up for it. Co:what is your highest level of education? Me: First Degree CO: what course? Me: History & Diplomatic Studies. Co: are you married Me: No CO: do you have children Me: No. She now said congratulations I will approve your visa. Welcome to America. She told me where to pick my passport and how to pay for the UCIS fee. I went to the SSN office at Stancliff Rd Texas only to be told that due to the govt shut dwn, dey cant process new applicants for the SSN. no SSN no driver's license, no job nufin ooo. Firewami: Pls help, some1 played lottery for my wife and luckly she is one of the 2014 dv selectees, bt she ws single then, kindly assist with usefu info on how to start the processing now dat we're married with a kid.Based on the information provided: You played (agent??) in Oct/Nov 2012? You got married in Desc 2012? You had your baby in Septembwer 2013? If that is the way, By the grace of God, you are good to go but ensure that the information (principal applicant) you are sending to KCC is consistent with information that was used when she played the DV with exception of her marital status that has changed. My advice, you need to provide convincing photographs showing when you got married & the naming ceremony of your baby, marriage certificate & baby's birth cert at the time of your interview. Like previous forumities mentioned fill the form correctly and send it to KCC. You are good to go & most High will see u through IJN. |

My Fellow Forumities, Good morning to you all and we are highly excited to inform the house that we had a successful & wonderful interview this morning. It is the Lord's doing & it's marvelous in our sight. I am very grateful for the exprience/advice shared on this forum. By the grace of God almighty we shall all end with shouting of rejoicing in Jesus name. Now, our Itinerary: Pre_interview Activities: - All documentation were properly arranged with Principal applicant leading. - Ensured the originals & Photocopies (Birth certificate, Police report, School Certificates & Medicals) are in order. - We ensure no document(s) was missing & did a thourogh check before leaving. - We had a review all the forms sent KCC & had a dry run interview with my spouse for consistency. - We got the children involved by reminding them of their birthdays. -We prayed & sought for God's favour & help before leaving home. -We had a baby after sending our forms to KCC & we had notified them (LagosIV) before the interview date. -We prepared his own DS230 form & presented it at the venue. - We left home early enough & arrived at embassy by 5.45am and drove in with the entire family. At the Embassy: By 6am, we moved in & there was a briefing & 2 lines were formed for Immigrant & Non-Immigrant - Were instructed to remove phones, electronic gadgets, oil, liquid, metal object but i was allowed in with my car key. - Were instructed to please open your medical envelopes (All seal envelopes must be opened & failure to do that point may resulted in turning you back - pls be attentive to the instruction) - At first point: Principal applicant was called & requested for 2NL, then we were given a slip for payment, blue tags & number was given to us. - Another slip was given to us to fill in Principal applicant name, email & Address. - Next we got seated & waited for security checks (Pls ensure you abide the instruction to do away those items that are forbidden). - We moved inside for final security check (scanning machine) before we were ushered into the hall. - As you entered, you will be given a number that will serve you for the day. Immigrant applicant were other to seat separately. - We waited patiently until they called our number for payment - we did that in USD & issued a receipt (don't misplace it). - We got seated & waited for sometime before they started attending to Immigrant visa. - About six(6) families came this morning & first two families were granted. - About few minutes to 9am, my spouse was called & moved toward the counter with new baby & i was called as well. - We were told to raise up our right hand make an oath to say the truth & we did accordingly. All forms were given to us to sign & either of us signed for the children. - Our fingreprints were taken. I was instructed to go & sit down while my spouse was to be interviewed. - The conversation goes thus: CO: Your name? Spouse: Answer according CO: when did u get married? Spouse: Answer accordingly CO: Where do u work & what is your role? Spouse:Answer accordingly CO: You had a baby after submitting your form to KCC & what are the proof to show? Spouse: DS 230 form was submitted & signed there, we presented the photograph for naming, church dedication, photograph showing family members with us during the naming, etc CO: Have been to US? Spouse: No Now the CO called me for clarification: CO: Have u been to US before? Me: No CO: You have a valid visa & why have you not used it? Me: I explained that i was to go for a conference but had to postpone to later date. CO: She said CONRATULATIONS. Brought 2 papers & handed it over to my spouse & explained what we need to do. All our originals were returned. Spouse: Bursted to laughter & we gave all glory to GOD for this milestone. Lesson & Advice for Others: - I saw someone that came with passport phoograph that did not meet specification. Pls adhere to instruction. The person was lucky & was told to go out & take a correct one. - Someone international passport dropped from his enveloped & never knew only for someone to find it & return it to the security guys. -Pls avoid anything that can put on pressure & ensure that you arrnge your document very well. - For us, they did not collect the photocpies of police report i strongly advice you go with it on the day of interview. - Stay focus & don't manipulate in any way & by the grace of GOD we all stand 99.999% of getting if you meet the requirement. I have a birth certificate issued in early 80's but i was born in early 70's. This birth certificate is not the short form & i need someone to help me with what dimension of the long birth certificate is? |

Studies from previous year's bulletin, I should be current by December with CN 880*, it would be a very beautiful idea if we do it same day, preferably weekend as I don't reside in Lagos, except otherwise by you, meaning I may schedule my leave then if possible. My spouse as the principal applicant already obtained the birth certificate from NPC & i need to know if it's a must that i get the NPC birth certificate as well. My current birth certificate is the one issued by local govt in mid 70. |

: Like i mentioned in my previous contributions, Adult = Consultation fee (12K) + Vaccination (2K) = 14K per adult (No medical record was presented). Children: approx 2yr = Consultation fee (7K) + 31K (Incomplete medical records/immunization record). 5-8 yrs child = Consultation fee (7K) + 6.5K(partially complete immunization/medical record). Trust me, that was exact amout we paid for our medical. I cannot tell if it changes per individual. God bless 1 Like |

: For children below 14 years. The consultation fee is 7k. Anybody above 14 years pay 12K as consultation fee. The children that we paid 31K was close to 2 years while those one 5-8 years we paid 6,500 naira for vaccination (we went there wit their immunization records). For adult we paid 2k for vaccination. Ensure you go there with photocopy of your biodata page(all of you), photocopy of medical records & 2 passport photographs & be ready to pay your consultation fee at Zenith bank (Awolowo Rd branch, opposite barrack) is very close. Please ensure your run copies of your medical records to save time. Please prepare to spend sometime there as it might be challeging at times with those people there, !!!!!!lol!!!!!!!!. We got there as early as 6am & not allowed to drive bc they inform that they start attending to people by 8am but it cools & they allow us in later. We are unable to use POS that day & we got to make payment for consultation fee at Zenith bank, other payment is made there. @ Principo. Congratulations for the success story. Just to make few equiries bc my family is due to visa interview few weeks time. 1) Do they allow children food like snacks or biscuit tem? 2) Was the police report sealed in an envelope bc it was not sealed when given to us. 3) Do we need photocpies of the police report? & For those planning medical, we did our own at Children Practice (Ikoyi) & fixed charge are : Adult (12k) & Children (7K), other charges depend on the vaccination to be performed. Please ensure you give more 2 days to complete your medicals (our exprience was that they could not give us the result for children 48 hrs after the test & we have to pick it up the following day after wasted tangible time). It is advisable to go there with volumes of medical history for children (vaccination, immunization, etc).. it realy saved us a lot while one of my children that has incomplete immunization recored cost us additional 31k. |

Hi Forumities, I need your guidance and advice for a leaglly married Female DV2014 selectee that just had a new baby in August and already received 2NL from KCC for interview in october 2014. Based on the letter from KCC, this was stated ("The Kentucky Consular Center has completed the processing of your case and forwarded it to the interviewing office. Further inquiries should be addressed to the interviewing office listed above. When communicating with the Embassy/Consulate either by telephone or letter, always refer to your name and case number exactly as they appear below.If any documents are listed below as incomplete, please present the completed documents at the time of interview").
