The inverter is just to backup lights and computers in a workplace until change over to gen and vice versa (less than 5mins at different times throughout the day only).

A number of the lights are halogen spotlights with high energy consumption; which was why the load Audit recommended 7.5KVA. The 4 unit battery is to save cost in view of the small backup time required.

The battery had finally become unsafe to use.

If I did not drive in 2 days it would read 12.3V or 12.2V and would be unable to start the car.

If I drove the night before and then attempted to start the next morning, even if it started, you would hear sounds like the battery was on its last day in the process of starting.

But I panelled its life for some 10 minutes to 15 minutes, it would serve me for the whole day.

But the next day it would need to be panelled.

I delayed the purchase of a replacement battery because I wanted a top of the range OEM grade automotive car battery.

I finally got an original Bosch battery after a lot of queries and that is when I retired the battery that came with the car.

I was therefore able to trade the fear of being stranded for the comfort and security of a battery made by a name that can be trusted to deliver now and for the long run.

This is the catch. An inkjet print will work no issues. It uses very little power. But you will pay through your nose for ink. A laser jet printer will likely trip your inverter. Maybe the more recent versions will work, if you put everything else off while running them. Their cartridges cost less in the long run, but their energy costs are higher

I've been using ink tank (Canon & Epson) since 2019. Extremely low cost and low power consumption. ozone0801

yours might probably be a hardware issue then, mine has been 💯 since I went back to Windows 7.

I'll be keeping this laptop on Windows 7 till I'm ready to upgrade to a better laptop.

I'd turn it on again tomorrow and observe. Hopefully it comes on

I think the os is the cause because the system is kinda old. I did a little experiment and downgrade back the win7 and it stopped.


Win8 and 10 same thing, it goes blank when you turn it on, I just force shutdown and turn on again for the display to turn on.

I just love the 3115m cos it's rugged, the laptop no dey get fault at all. Been using it for years.

Impossible, you're doing a fresh install. You'd loose everything.

If you have money to spare, you can do what I did and you'd never loose a file.

I have 3 HDDs I interchange depending on my needs. All 3 are running win7, 8 and 10.

I changed my computers to ssd some months back so I actually have some old hdd's in storage I'd try that.

I'm thinking the same too because it's since they put windows 10 in it maybe no stable win10 driver for the graphics part

Be aware that opening a PV breaker or any other breaker will not help protect against a surge, a decent surge will jump right across the space between the contacts and do its evil work. When a breaker trips upon impact from lightning induced surge, the surge current already passed through well before the breaker could respond.

At the installation where I had to replace the inverter and panels just last month, installer claimed it was sufficiently protected (there's no way I know of to test till it's too late)

There's a big quality/standards issue in our country.

My inverter manual (TV also) says disconnect from the wall in a storm.

I turn off the circuit breaker for the solar and AC charging when there's a storm.

Please, which 1.2kva 12V or 1.5kva 12V pure sine wave inverter is recommended to be the best that is not so expensive and is save with all gadget, a modified sine wave once spoilt my smart tv before, I can’t afford that again. Possibly with automatic switch over function, suggestion pls, someone once mentioned mopower to me, kindly give me the best house please

Yes it always works on the external monitor everytime. It's been like a year plus like that now, some days the screen comes up.

I have this old HP 3115m mini running Windows 10.

Sometimes the screen goes blank when I turn it on, other times it works so it's always connected to an external monitor.

I'm not sure what can be the cause?

TBB 1.6KV 24v or Schneider Homaya 1500VA?

I want to move the 24v inverter that has been in my parent's place to somewhere new.

I want to get a replacement for them today but I'm torn between the options above.

For anyone with experience with them, which would be the best of the two for me to get?

So what is actually needed.

There is an existing system, Su Kam 30kv 360v inverter with 30 225ah batteries and panels with Tristar controllers (not working)

They need to

1. Be moved to a new location or

2. A quotation made for a new system at the new location with the old one decommissioned.

Also had tha t issue sometime ago, 2 inverters died within 6months, after the 2nd death i told owner to do a new earthing just for the inverter, as i suspected the shared earthing had voltage leakage....going to 6months now everything is working ok. consider doing this or dont hook up to earthing at all and observe

I complained about my hybrid recently

It started misbehaving the moment I connected it to charge from grid.

Since I removed that it has been okay.
I'm suspecting earthing too because when it was connected the body was "shocking"

Please who repairs inverters in Port Harcourt?

I have this Transformer based inverter that's been installed somewhere a couple of years now.

Yesterday, I was told the lights started flickering and they were seeing a red glow like something burning inside the inverter (no smell though).

thats a fault situation.
disconnect it from battery either by turning of the battery supply breaker or manually disconnecting one of the battery terminals for about 30secs to 350secs and reconnect

If you have a PV breaker, you could trip it first then the battery, otherwise you could've done it at night when there wasn't any solar input.
And if you don't have a PV breaker you should introduce one.

the inverter was still showing solar charging by 9pm
I just turned everything off though then turned them back on this morning.

It's done this once some weeks back when I connected it to grid to charge I'm suspecting the fault is from there so I disconnected the grid connection too as I barely use that.

Help Needed

I have an Axpert (Easun 3kv Hybrid inverter).

It normally goes off in the evening when the sun is out but till now today (almost 9pm) its still showing solar charging and the fan is on.

Has anyone experienced this?
Is there anyway to reset this type of inverter?
Would it be OK to turn off the battery breaker so it goes off and maybe starts normally in the morning (I know they usually say everything must be disconnected before battery)?
