PoliticsRe: Enugu High Court convicts Igbinedion, fines him N3.5 million by gamechange(m): 7:48pm On Dec 19, 2008
Corruption and Nigeria are synonymous. This dastard verdict is the final nail on the coffin. There is no better word to describe the relationship between Government and its people other than "Slavery"
Yes I said it. Nigerians are slaves to their masters (those in Government)

FamilyRe: I Maltreated My Wife: Now She Wants To Leave Me by gamechange(m): 6:18pm On Dec 03, 2008
You need to do some soul searching, and expect that nothing is going to change when she eventually returns to you. Irrespective of her past, If it is the will of God, she will have your kids, period.

My suggestion is that you act two fold,

1) Go to her parents, be remorseful, contrite, acknowledge the errors you made and plead respectfully.
2) Approach your wife, explaining the reason why your mien changed towards her, proffer solutions to your childless marriage, i.e. adoption, invitro etc.  Tell her you love her irrespective.

Good luck.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Seeks N59 billion Loan To Build New Satellites by gamechange(m): 11:16pm On Dec 02, 2008
My people, if I want to build satellite, why would I go to another mans country to build it, that is limiting and in itself a security risk, no other country in the world would do that, not even the small small african countries.

We are a rich nation, yet we have no focus, no vision, it is all about embezzle, national cake, etc.

The truth about Nija is that, as things are nothing will ever change. The nation has been kidnapped on a tight stranglehold, we keep recycling the same thieves year in year out, call them government, then we wait on GOD to bail us out. Heaven helps those who help themselves. Unfortunately, as has been proven, the only way we can get anything done anywhere in the world, especially Nija is by force, declaring war as is ongoing in Niger-delta. We need to get our country back, create a government of the people, accountable to the people.  Niger-delta people have shed blood and are still shedding blood, now the world is beginning to take notice, the Nija Government is taking notice.

In Northern ireland, people bombed their way into government, we as a people need a quiet revolution, when properties of government ministers are bombed daily, then they will take notice. We need to take a stand or the internal slavery project called Nigeria will continue.
FamilyRe: Caught My Husband From Cheating :/ by gamechange(m): 1:42am On Nov 26, 2008
@ Poster -- I am voicing my opinion based on your utterances alone. If you witheld or gave false information, then my analysis will be completely flawed.

It is rather sad that you have been a victim of a well known scam. Pretty much your supposed husband used you to obtain legal status in your country of residence. In as much as you would view this as a horrible thing to happen to a human, but to be candid, to the Nigerian mind, this practice is generally encouraged by all and sundry. Living conditions can be extremely difficult in Nigeria, so most people classified as economic migrants will do whatever is necessary to gain residency so as to have chance at a descent life. All this (the marriage that is) would have been a carefully planned operation,  including the participation of his "real" wife, family, etc. Nigerian churches are aware this goes on, but would normally turn a blind eye.

I am going to be frank with you, this is nothing new under the sun, there are a lot of children of Nigerian fatherhood who do not know their biological fathers until adulthood, simply because their mothers are victims of this scam. If you are familiar with England , then names like Daley thompson, Sade Adu, John and Justin fashanu are by products of such.

Now that you are clued, here is what to do. It is going to be difficult, but you have to take the bull by the horn. Arrange for childcare and both of you go to a fancy restaurant where you are going to have a heart to heart talk. Express what you think has gone on without apportioning blame, and voice that you accept that he is no longer interested in the union and you are not willing to put up a fight, but what you would like is knowledge on what should happen to your child. His answer will determine if he wants to be a part of the childs life, if not, then it is safe to say that you have to cut your losses and bolt.

My sincere hope and prayer for you is that you meet in quicktime 'the one' who will bring the right kind of tears to your eyes.

TravelRe: Building A Rapid Mass Transit System (Metro-Rail) In Lagos by gamechange(m): 2:21am On Nov 02, 2008
@Midas02

Nigeria does not lack ideas, we lack genuine leadership. Pretty much all those who serve get caught up in this constant cycle of greed and corruption. A lot have gone into government with good intentions, but fail because there is endemic institutionalized failure imbibed in our operational procedures. Except there is genuine oversight, checks and balances, and a 'willing to do' attitude, any project will simply create another funnel for siphoning money and hence another abandoned 'white elephant' to ponder over. Good ideas though.
PoliticsRe: Yar’adua Drops 20 Ministers In Cabinet Reshuffle! by gamechange(m): 2:37pm On Oct 30, 2008
Shame to the Government, there is no accountabiliy of any sort in hysteria Nigeria, lets compare yaradua's manifesto to his results, can anybody name one single achievement. Above all, we dont practice meritocracy, which is what a developing nation needs. Stay tuned- the next bunch are coming for their quota.

The Saga continues in the country of "HAVES" and HAVE NOTS"

1) Practice past questions

2) Practice past questions

3) Practice past questions

Practice makes perfect.
SportsRe: Nigeria In U-17 World Cup U-turn by gamechange(m): 4:37pm On Oct 29, 2008
I am still not convinced we will have the necessary infrastructure in place, on time, to host this tournament, what I am sure of is that there will be those who will scupper it by siphoning money elsewhere, VP in charge or not.

FoodRe: Eating Food You Hate In The Name Of Love by gamechange(m): 11:05pm On Oct 27, 2008
There is unity in diversity, you do not have to eat what you don't particuarly like because of anybody, lover or not.

It is important to respectfully disagree though rather than put down what another may find palatable.

I am sure at some point we have all witnessed others eat what we may consider offensive, but diplomacy and respect is key.

Chelsea were tamed today, Kudos to Rafa and the boys, tactics was spot on. They came out in the second half without intent to defend the goal, fantastic.

FamilyRe: Must We Use The Services Of Househelps And Daycare? by gamechange(m): 4:19pm On Oct 24, 2008
There is nothing wrong in using a domestic or house help, provided proper and necessary vetting has been carried out. What is most important though is to make sure that their is mutual respect between both parties, i.e all the modalities of the job need to be agreed before commencement of duty. Typically where there is no prior arrangement and agreement, abuse creeps in.

Also it is worth noting here that for those who take on  children of school age as domestics, please , please please, give them a chance at education or vocation.
SportsRe: Nigeria Gives Up Hosting Of Under- 17 World Cup by gamechange(m): 4:04pm On Oct 24, 2008
We should not have expressed desire to host any international event of such magnitude in the first place.
Basic infrastructure needed for such events are non existent, and to be candid, the disgrace that would have come upon the nation would have been far greater had we proceeded.

Good riddance, now lets focus on developing our nation, roads, hospitals, power, investing particularly in education and promoting small business, thats what will prosper us and win us respect amongst nations.

U girls are so funny, especially those suggesting the poster should ask for money, expensive gifts etc. It reminds me of similar situations i have been in, where the girls become stunned, after i kept delivering all their monetary demands, small time, we were knocking boots, in the end they were begging for marriage.
PropertiesRe: Another Sad Land Sale Gone Totally Horribly Wrong! Purchasers Shine Your Eyes! by gamechange(m): 3:21pm On Oct 21, 2008
Trusting someone to buy land on your behalf is like you suggesting that a friend should marry a wife for you without you  ever seeing the girl korokoro. You can only have yourself to blame. You wont do it with a car, why do it with your most important asset/investment. Even if this guy is found, you will be lucky if he has any money left, thats if he himself has not been a victim of armed robbery. This whole thing sucks.
