heehee. Nice one. May I suggest that you get an 1/2 or 3/4 inch thick plywood board cut out to the size of the washing machine top. Place this board on the top of the washing machine to distribute the pressure from the table legs. I wouldn't want my machine to thave thos kind of pressure points on it.

My car Toyota Rav 4 2006 V6 is showing CEL, VSC and 4WD lights on the dash board. I ordered for this multi system scanner for toyota cars and used it for the diagnosis the result is P0420 and P0430. just as seen in the pix.
I feel the car consumes fuel although the everything seems to be ok since its just 3months old.


Please where can i buy the original catalyst system for the car?
Can i get other advice based on this from guys with similar experience.

just recently procured a Golf 4 for my wife, it's a 1.6 I4 75kWa engine it had 153K Km on it as of purchase time. It has been running fine since purchase however on starting the car yesterday it gave a warning on the MFD with a beep sound and the CEL came on. Unfortunately the display on the MFD is German I threw the tongues at Google translate and I got "Exhaust Workshop" tried to see what I can find on Google but What I've been finding articles on is "Emissions Workshop" dunno whether they mean the same thing, the only Exhaust Workshop articles I came across had to do with the Touareg. Well I don't know much abt cars and unfortunately the manual cldnt help as it's all German.
This warning blinks only for a few secs then disappears and display starts to read some kinda time (now on 48mins).
The car however continues to drive fine or at least I haven't detected any deterioration in funtion or change in sound
So pls gurus any ideas on why this may have happened? And what needs to be done
I shld take it for a scan in a day or 2 however I'd like to knw if it's safe to drive around pending then.
It has only just been serviced, Total quartz 5000 oil was used. M beginning to think maybe it's not the right oil as this didn't happen before service. If so what's the right oil to be used for these engine. Thanks

Pls I need your help. I just bought this naija used Honda Babyboy 2002 model, mileage 086,470, the owner sold it because he wanted to go back to the USA where he based. But I forgot to ask him before he left for the US the last brand of engine oil he uses on the engine. His number isn't going through all efforts to reach him were all availed.
I checked the car's manual and I discovered API certification seal read 5W-20 but the car is 13yrs old. Can I still maintain the same 5w-20 or increase the oil thickness, dunno if I get the questions right. This is my first car though. I'm totally novice when comes to car talk/maintenance.

Pls experts in the house help your guy.

I did this at Car Doctor's place in Abuja last August.
Brought it down and we looked at it. Everything looked intact and clean.
We soaked it in soapy water for some hours and installed it back.

But not long after, the lights came back. I guess i will do the sensor ish.

One more thing, any way to determine a good tokumbo A/F sensor?

Resources online say it is low current from A/F sensor. But my scanner is saying low current from O2 sensor.

Kinda confusing. I use a Creader 123 scanner.

P2241 Lexus Description
The Air-Fuel ratio (A/F) sensor provides output voltage approximately equal to the existing air-fuel ratio.

The A/F sensor output voltage is used to provide feedback for the Engine Control Module (ECM) to control the air-fuel ratio.

With the A/F sensor output, the ECM can determine deviation from the stoichiometric air-fuel ratio and control proper injection time. If the A/F sensor is malfunctioning, the ECM is unable to accurately control air-fuel ratio.

The A/F sensor is equipped with a heater which heats the zirconia element. The heater is also controlled by the ECM. When the intake air volume is low (the temperature of the exhaust gas is low), current flows to the heater which heats the sensor to facilitate detection of accurate oxygen concentration.

The A/F sensor is a planar type. Compared to a conventional type, the sensor and heater portions are narrower. Because the heat of the heater is conducted through the alumina to zirconia (of the sensor portion), sensor activation is accelerated.

The code is output when there is an open or short in the A/F sensor circuit, or if A/F sensor output drops. To detect these problems, the voltage of the A/F sensor is monitored when turning the ignition switch to the ON position, and the admittance (admittance is an electrical term that indicates the ease of flow of current) is checked while driving. If the voltage of the A/F sensor is between 0.6 V and 4.5 V, it is considered normal. If the voltage is outside of the specified range, or the admittance is less than the standard value, the ECM will determine that there is a malfunction in the A/F sensor. accord 2004? I recently changed my cv joint(both side). Though d cranking sound when turning left stopped but I noticed that when accelerating even within  a street...I feel some vibration in my foot via d accelerator. Any idea on what caused this? Wasnt feelin such vibration prior to cv joint change

I bought a v6 toks accord 06 model a month ago & during the first servicing an engine oil other than the 5w20 recommended by d manufacturer was used (I believe 20w50 was used) . Only realised when I went through the manual. Now my question is what can be done? Do I revert back to d recommended asap or wait till my next oil change. Another question is where do I get the said oil as all my search in benin city has not yielded result & how many litres do I need? Thanks

My 99 honda baby boy vibrates when reversing.
The vibration increases when I put on the A/C.
What is the cause? And what is the solution house?

Whenever i turn my AC on,after five minutes I start perceiving offensive odour.

I'll appreciate if you advice on what to do because i'm in Benue and most of our techs/engrs here are not well tutored.
1. My a.c doesn't cool as much as it does early in the morning and in the evenings. It's often just fair when the weather is hot which is the ideal time to use the a.c. It's a Honda Accord 2001 I4 .
2. I changed my fuel pump and since then I have been having a continuous hissing noise around the trunk once the engine is running, the mech who carried out the change said it'll stop and it's like 3weeks now.

The AC in my Toyota Camry Tiny Light isn't cooling and chilling like it used to cool before.

if you on it when there's sun, its as if its blowing heat in return.

You can only feel the coolness only when it rains or at night(that's cool evening)


Please what's likely the cause of this?

Was thinking the compressor is bad or something.

Though i topped gas , yet no way.

Any solutions to this?

I know everyone keeps saying things about electrical cars, but is the issue the money to repair them or the difficulty involved in finding good mechanics? Aren't there things i should do to the golf 4 in order not to fall prey to damages and whatnot?

When you say it won't take abuse, what does it mean? I am currently learning how to drive, so are you talking about handling? I don't intend to race it through the streets at night o

The truth is, i think it's a really pretty car. I am in the creative industry, and to tell the truth, beauty comes before function for me most times. I have never had a car...so I can't say I am looking for some engine spec or whatnot because I don't understand those things, just as far as the thing moves around when i want it to, and can be maintained without breaking a leg.

That's why i want to be clear of the danger of owning a golf 4.

any form of motion/vibration other than transmission of energy from your engine to your suspension via you transmission box is a sign of imminent mechanical failure, it pays to have your vehicle inspected and the problem solved by competent personnel, may i recommend 08124029928
