Good morning house, Happy Sunday.
So I have a Camry 2014 xle, which I took to the filling station to refill. the fuel indicator is about to reach the point where it will show warning but it hasn’t gotten there yet. Due to fuel scarcity I told them to fill it with 60.6 liters . Immediately they filled it up I noticed my car won’t accelerate very well. The acceleration is very slow. So I have 3 questions? How much liters can my fuel tank take at max. 2. What could be the cause of the slow acceleration and 3. How can I fix this without taking it to the mechanic. Thanks house.

After hustling and buzzling in Kaduna ... I decided to head down south to Uyo , Akwa ibom to meet my people for the Christmas holidays..

Well, Uyo is a very nice and serene place with wide and smooth road networks...I actually enjoy staying there...than the hot sunny north

A family friend came over and we went out to pick somebody at the Victor attah international airport... since her flight was to land by 7 :15pm ( ibom air)

I don't really know the names of most roads in Uyo so pardon me

We were using a Crysler 300 but I don't know the engine displacement..


We started off from IBB avenue through Aka road to
Udo udoma avenue....

He decided to refuel at the NNPC mega station along the airport road....

As we were fueling ...a 2003 Toyota Corolla was behind us ...and a neat blue Peugeot 504 bestline in also branched to Fill up.. I didn't see who drove it because it had a little tint and it's glasses were Up.....

Paid the attendant and we zoomed off every body knows the 300 is a very fast car!!

The road leading to the airport was very wide ...smooth and OMG !...
He floored the 300 to about 110kmhr cause I was sitting in front ..enjoy some jamz with its AC...

Then I now pictured the corolla we had left ... In the wing mirror well... I lost interest and we were chatting..
The next moment the corolla disappeared and was replaced with the Peugeot... It was catching up fast

It had dusted the corolla

Well, not surprised The fuvking Europeans always keep doing this shits on the road !

My guy noticed as it was horning to overtake and a Kia cerato was Infront of us..

I told my guy to give it a gap... We increased to 120kmhr and over took the Kia ... The next moment...it overtook the Kia also
Still tailing us..

I just told him ... U no dey respect your elders...

And we gave it space .....
And the legend roared past us...

I could hear the engine roaring and it's AC was on...I think the engine was overworking.. well not bad for a
40year old Car.....

Before taking its own route we bid the legend farewell..

We took the other side to the airport...

Good morning gurus in the house,

I have a Toyota Corolla 2010 I bought straight from Canada. I took the car to a filling station for oil change and the guy there recommended Mobil 20W-50 which I have continued to use 2 more times.
I decided to read the car manual and found out I have been using the wrong engine oil as the manufacturers recommended SAE 5W-20 or 0W-20 engine oils.

My questions are thus:
1) Do I continue to use the 20W-50 or should change to the manufacturers recommendations
2) If I need to change to manufacturers’ recommendations, what steps or precaution should I take in making the transition back to manufacturer’s recommendation?

Okay, I'll go straight to it.
I'm going to explain what has been done to the car to paint a clearer picture and rule out areas already looked at.
My car is a Camry 2004 with 4 cylinders(i4)

The car has been having acceleration issues.

The prob became very noticeable when my fuel finished on the road.

Anytime I match d throttle pass 2000rpm is struggles to pass beyond that point. The engine makes a noise as though the exhaust has blown. I'll have to match d throttle to the end and hold on for some time before it will jerk and accelarte a slowly while making a loud rev noise.

I took d car to a mechanic when the car started making reving noises (like ur exhaust had blown) and was vibrating Eve when the car wasn't accelerating (When the ignition was on)

The tank was emptied and cleaned while a new fuel was added the problem persisted
The fuel pump was replaced with another but the prob persisted
The four spark plugs were changed, the problem persisted.

One faulty coil was changed, the car became much quieter (no more reving or vibrations) but the car still had acceleration issues.
Injector and nozzles were serviced, d problem still persisted.
O2 sensor/fuel air sensor was checked and nothing was wrong with it.


All these and the prob still persists.
The mechanic suggested that it's probably bad fuel again that I should burn it out and refill with a better one.

I'm tired.
Is there anything I'm missing or haven't checked. Pls suggestions.

Good evening GAZZUZZ , my Honda Civic 02 has the D light blinking and sometimes gives a small "gbi" sound while driving. I scanned and got the following codes.

P0715 - input shaft (main shaft) speed censor failure

P0730 - Incorrect Gear ratio

kindly advise on how to solve this issue

Good morning. I have an 09 accord that's been stressing me out. It does the following:

1. Vibrates/shakes during acceleration --usually between 20&40kmph. Runs smoothly after the 40kmph mark. Please note: I've changed the cv axles for both driver and passenger sides and replaced engine mounts.

2. Struggles to start during the first try in the morning. Sometimes it doesn't particularly if I haven't driven it in 2 days. But it typically starts on the second try and starts smoothly afterwards throughout the day. Please note: I already changed the fuel pump 2x (second be time after buying bad fuel from an nnpc station)

3. Has significant vibration when I depress the brakes. Please note: I already replaced brake discs (both discs at the front) a while ago

4. Car feels like the tires are bouncing when I'm driving. All tires are gauged (225/65/16) to 35 psi. I've had vulcanizers look at the tires and they're in good condition --no uneven wear

Can you cartalk gurus pls help with the diagnosis? I'd really appreciate it.

It turned out to be the adjuster. I bought a brand new one and got an original engine Belt and the noise ceased.

Turned out that the Belgium adjuster I got was shitty.
Car drives silently now.

Good afternoon everyone.

Got a Honda CR-V 2008 recently. It’s my first car and I’m movie, made a terrible rookie mistake of trusting a friend and not going with a mechanic for checks. Anyways, lesson learned, we move.

Recently, I noticed that while on the highway and I ply a rough road or bump, the car loses power and would refused to accelerate until I park and restart. It has happened over 5 times.

Had a Rewire scan it today because I recently changed the fuel pump thinking that would solve the problem.

Here are the codes below, they are a lot. I don’t know if some of the codes have been resolved and just need clearing. But I’m very particular about the losing power issues mid speed.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

My Toyota Camry 2013 SE makes this noise from the serpentine belt area.
I have changed the belt, adjuster pulley,no change.
It starts making this noise anytime I switch on the AC especially on idle.

There is a squeaking noise from the serpentine belt area in my Camry 2013.
Drives smoothly without AC. Grinding noise starts as soon as I put on the AC and also on idle.

I have replaced the Tensioner adjuster pulley. Although it shakes slightly.
If I change the belt,the noise disappears for a day or two. Then comes back.

I bought an original belt. Noise still on.
Pls help. I am suspecting the AC compressor pulley. I know it has a bearing.
Is that the same as idle pulley?
There is also the crank shaft pulley.
Which is the culprit.
