eGuerrilla: Here you go again with that patronizing tone of yours, trying to rally impressionable minds to accept your warped logic.
I have observed your commentaries on these boards for some time now and can confirm, without fear of contradiction, that your brand of Black nationalism is re.tarded, inimical to our progress as a people, and also quite dangerous.

It is based largely on a false consciousness which takes a romantic and uncritical view of the African experience, in totality.

Continue deluding yourself with the notion that you are advancing Africa's interests along with your neo-fascist co-travelers. Yes, I am referring to your petty-bourgeois group of followers whose personal politics is more aligned to Bokassa's than Sankara's, and whose buffoonery would have made Idi-Amin proud but not Nkrumah.
Well-said. The guy is a drifter and a waste of space. He is a loser angry at the world and keen to blame others for his own deficiencies and failure in the disapora. He reminds me of Omar Bakri, Anjem Choudary and other evil creatures who radicalised Adebolajo and other angry, disenfranchised and impressionable young men like him with their evil indoctrination and messages of unbridled hate and empty vengeance. Imagine that we have young and confused Africans here going through trying times. What will they take from the message of this fool other than the notion it is okay to completely blame 'whitey' for all their woes never mind their own unaddressed personal deficiencies and how it is their own black leaders, and even kinsmen, stealing them blind.

How many times have I said it here that there is no place for extremism on any side? The Nigerian who is racist against all white folks should get our condemnation, not blind support, if we are balanced and fair folks. Likewise the white racist, muslims extremists or Christian bigots should be condemned also. One is not right/excusable more than others. This is why the few folks I respect on this forum are those you never see discriminating against anything or anyone.

Inspected logically, what useful message does this loser have for the Africans he claims to love and defend beyond his parochial, divisive and hate-filled rants? This fool should be condemned by all sensible Nairalander for the preacher of hatred that he is.

PoliticsRe: Amaechi Re-elected As Chairman Of Nigeria Governors Forum by Gbawe: 11:24pm On May 24, 2013
Gentle me: In my opinion a battle line has just been drawn...sincerely I pity Amaechi..sincerely!

The fact now is that Amaechi has just become an enemy of virtually all south south stakeholders beginning from the SS governors. You know why I said so? because almost every dude within the corridor of powers want a new position or retain their previous and only Jonathan who we know will become the president will deliver mandates to them and not Amaechi whose political relevance is fading with the sunset...the best He'll do is to form ally with the Northerners to fight his own brother. #We are watching!

Jonathan will subtly witch hunt that guy and use every arsenal against the dude. Those praising Amaechi's victory are just lame to say the least.

Where were Amaechi's powers when Chief Obuah emerged PDP Chairman in a State you are perceived the numero uno?
Where were his powers when less that 96hours, 22 law makers in the State were suspended?
Where were his powers when his G.U Ake (the perceived most powerful man in Rivers State) was overthrown?

He sacked the Obo Akpor Chairman and put in caretaker cmttee, minutes later orders came to unseat the caretaker cmmttee.

Lets wait and see how events in Amaechi;s life unfolds. Because as it stands there;s the 1000000% possibility that he can never regain the control of his State again from the hands of the his detractors. wink

The fact is that Amaechi may win this battle, but can never win this war...this is what politics in Nigeria is all about...#peaceout
Nigeria cannot remain an aberration where mediocrities, promoted far above their station, lord it over talented folks. That model is becoming extinct worldwide.

Prop up GEJ all you want and put down Ameachi as suits you but I can confidently tell you , here and now, that your Nation will not exist in a vacuum.

Ultimately, and in defiance of what obtained previously, Nigerian leadership will become more about meritorious and talented 'gladiators' earning the right to lead rather than what we have now whereby a totally unfit character such as GEJ, courtesy of throwback jesters like OBJ, finds himself far above his station. Amaechi's victory may not last but it is symbolic of what is to come for GEJ and those who support him myopically.

I have said it many times on this forum that 2015 is an impossible ambition for GEJ starting from even an attempt to overcome fanatically determined opposition within his own Party. I expect more shameless antics from team GEJ till they gain a "win" over Amaechi. Same played out when disinterested Alli, drafted in at the last minute, defeated GEJ's choice (Anenih) easily, for the PDP BOT chairman position, only for team GEJ to declare "deadlock" and then go on a rampage of sackings and the bullying emasculation of opponents to get their way unopposed. Instructive Anenih emerged BOT chairman winner by "consensus" choice.

Also, Akpabio is unraveling as a disappointment. As a good administrator who has delivered for his people, he should know that there is more to politics than blindly defending a highly despised and treacherous mediocrity who will never win , as per any genuinely democratic electoral test, because he has lost virtually everyone with his selectively treacherous and divisive antics.

We are then back in the days of Idi Amin, Abacha, Laurent Gbagbo et al where African leaders shamelessly failed to respect the fact that the entire polity, starting even from their own political affiliates, wanted them out because of conduct that has disappointed everyone.

eGuerrilla: Thanks for weighing in here @Shymmex, I always knew you were going to bring a different perspective to bear.

I will try to provide a more elaborate response later but, for now, ask yourself why the minds of these disaffected youths provides fertile ground for Islamo-fascists.

Just to be clear, the contract I alluded to in my earlier post, ultimately, constitutes a barrier which sets kith against kin. Let me break it down in these terms:

Politics - parents tend to be introverted micro-nationalists who long for a return to Nigeria. The Nigerian-British child on the other hand tends towards a sliding scale of Pan-Africanism which subjugates our "petty differences". The paradox here is that this idealism also lends itself to a lot of misapprehension about life back in Africa.

Economy - Nigerian parents, who through dogged determination have attain some level of success tend to be unsympathetic to the struggles of their children, who see the steep incline of fulfillment in Britain for what it is. Remember most of these parents would have schooled abroad - where you get to see legions of Black pilots, doctors, engineers, politicians and so on, on a regular basis. This issue of social mobility sometimes creates false expectations on both sides and hasten a break down in communication, which later crystallizes into a 'disconnect'

Religion - While this is one area that provides succour to our people, it also tends to be the most problematic for children of Nigerian ancestry who schooled in Britain. Before the age of 16, there is little resistance; afterwards, there is no guarantee of acceptance.

Take a good a look around,if in doubt about these assertions.

Btw, I am in entire agreement with the emboldened portion of your post.
Well-said.

This is why I personally do not speak on this aspect of things. Very few, on all sides involved, have the open-minded grasp of the reality that is predisposing young black men to fall through the cracks to the extent they now display what we have always simplistically touted ourselves to be ethnically and racially incapable of.

Rather you will hear immigrants adduce the wrong reasons to why Olawale is not behaving like a "typical Yoruba boy" in Ibadan or why Kwame has criminal inclinations that "is not in our Fanti culture". The total disconnection from their children in a societal arrangement that systematically promotes said alienation is sadly and predictably inevitable because many African parents, in my opinion, reject the notion of bringing up British kids ,who have African origin, alongside the consideration that they must make an effort to gain a tolerant and flexible attitude that will help them understand certain negative societal influence on their children they must proactively plan for - with the overall focus on developing a balanced and productive adult member of society.

Without a doubt, societal set-up and challenges mean that British children of African immigrants have it tougher. African parents must be smart, obsessively devoted and ready to make sacrifices to negate what is becoming almost a trap against them innately feeding on their needs to be ,above all things, financially successful/independent while their children failing may be the real trade-off of this 'race'.

While they chase the pounds, with long shifts that keep them away from home, in a country still mentally and societally challenging for black folks, their children may go on to gain other mentors who make them feel better about themselves in the short term but are ultimately the wrong influence in the end. By the time the damage is done, it may be too late.
PoliticsRe: Michael Oluwatobi Adebowale Is The 2nd Woolwich Suspect by Gbawe: 1:16pm On May 24, 2013
Noiseless2: It is the sheer hypocrisy in some people to claim that those two boys Oluwatobi Adebowale and Adebalajo are not of nigerian origin when their names are clearly Yoruba.

I think what should be done here is to condemn this cowardice act instead of trying too hard to spin it as everything before it, the same way some people tried so hard to deny and spin the Farouk Abdulmutalab terrorist attack until the northern nigeria became awashed with boko haramers, a similar thing could happen in lagos and other southwest nigeria if people keep living in denial.

I hope my comment doesn't get deleted or my id gets banned as usual.
Must people like you display prejudice with everything? Can you never ever rise above your partisan, prejudicial and sectional outlook? No one has denied their Nigerian origin. Rather, people are saying , appropriately, that they are British citizens. Nigeria is not involved in this at all.

Truly intelligent folks know that the societies individuals live in from birth, or for a very long time, is their core influence. Only an unsophisticated or totally prejudiced person would hold otherwise.

Appropriately, again highlighting the lack of political/general sophistication and lack of maturity of Nigerians mentioned here regularly, many Britons themselves unanimously accept that these are British young men who have taken the wrong path. The UK will move on to find solutions.

Meanwhile Nigerians, because of innate predisposition to prejudice and an obsession with stereotyping others, as we see here and for the past few days, will remain arguing over the nationhood of these young men. This is why solutions are not forthcoming in Nigeria.

Everyone is into blaming other ethnic groups instead of accepting that a Nigerian messed up and we must all deal with it. Nigerians have now exported this ethnocentric behaviour to issues that does not concern them and that stakeholders (Britons) are dealing with in unity and stoicism. If it suits you, as a Party likely unconnected with any of this, to keep shouting that the two murderers are Nigerian and not British, then carry on displaying that ignorance for the world to see. Britons themselves, the intelligent ones at least, are dealing with this from the perspective that some aberrant Britons have done a terrible thing. Their friends from British schools, not Nigeria, have been on TV testifying to their character in a show that they lived just as other British youngsters did.

The Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Ministers, society leaders et al have come out to say that these are "British young men" who have committed a heinous crime. Yet you are here talking self-importantly, and without a sense of perspective, about Abdulmutallab and Boko Haram. No one one has blamed Nigeria or associated her with this but mainly Nigerians themselves who clearly do not mean their nation well with their obsession of carrying the 'wahala' of others on their own head. What has rightly being established is that they are British men of Nigerian origin. One has to wonder what is wrong with Nigerians that leads to their constant attention-seeking antics.
PoliticsRe: Michael Oluwatobi Adebowale Is The 2nd Woolwich Suspect by Gbawe: 11:32am On May 24, 2013
Nick Clegg, UK deputy Prime Minister, just confirmed my point about the focus of the UK. Anyone who has Sky news should tune in now to watch the live address of Clegg at a multi-faith gathering.

Clegg emphasises that "these young men dressed and spoke like other young Londoners". In short they are British lads who live in London. Clegg tells the audience these two have "totally" perverted the message of Islam that is "a religion of peace". His message, so far, is about how folks have united as Britons, against terror, never mind their diversity and different background. Britain stands together against aberrant folks, like Adebolajo and Adebowale, is the message. We can contrast this with Nigeria and other African nation where even leaders will engage in ethnic/sectional/religious blame game and unhelpful witch hunting.
PoliticsRe: Michael Oluwatobi Adebowale Is The 2nd Woolwich Suspect by Gbawe:
chris365: well, i'll take it that you are better informed about this issue. and i totally agree with you about the "notice me" victimized mentality of Nigerians.
my brother, that's a problem that needs to be resolved to change the mentality of our people. because Nigerians are gradually becoming agents of destruction for this country and they don't know it yet.

truth be told, the British press still annoys me like hell
Same here but please do not take their reportage as the exclusive position of the Government. The 'gutter' press in the UK, especially with the intention of hijacking high emotions at times like this, often make poorly-concealed attempts at sublimimally goading the public - assumed unthinking and unintelligent - to support a wider and long term goal such as aggressive crackdown against immigration and full pull-out from the EU etcetera.

The Government knows what it knows and intelligent Britons, despite the antics of the press, are not engaging in hysteria and "get the foreign offenders" witch hunts that dominate the approach of the sentimental and often poorly-educated audience tabloid press report for.

Most sensible Britons have refused to be distracted and have been saying "these guys are as British as we all are".
I listened to "London is listening" radio interactive show yesterday hosted by Vanessa Feltz. I even tried to phone in and comments but lines were very busy. Despite Nigerians making a whole show of this and, in a manner reminiscent of self-immolation, demonizing themselves, not many on the show had time for the origin of the parents of the young men. Focus was on how Adeboloja spoke in a "London accent".

The show host herself, Vanessa Feltz, confessed to being shocked after the 7/7/2005 bombing to begin indignantly demanding "border control" only to shamefully realise that these are "British boys" indoctrinated in the UK to act against their Nation !!!!! Yesterday her approach was different - of course to be expected from those who can dispassionately learn valuable lessons from events even if previously ignorant. A thing I cannot say for many Nigerians who, as you stated, need to change their mentality .

Feltz and many commentators fully concurred that these young men are British and thus present a new challenge that must be approached intelligently without hysteria or a focus on race, religion, parental origin etcetera. They were not trained abroad to come and harm British people. These were young men, one even born in the London, who were British by every standard mature/unemotional folks ascribe citizenship. Rightfully, focus must shift onto those radicalising young Britons within the borders of the UK because, for a proactive nation, these are the people to worry about since good border control means you can keep out majority of foreign terrorist elements. Every balanced adult accepts that it is the Britons who may potentially turn against their Nation, like Adebolajo and Adebowale, the Country must join hands to monitor better, neutralise or , if possible, 'de-radicalise'. Important also will be a focus on destroying the influence of British and foreign-born radical clerics ( Abu Hamza, Omar Bakri, Abu Qatada et al) on impressionable and disenfranchised young Britons. In other words, a battle for the hearts and minds of young Britons.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7_July_2005_London_bombings

Adebolajo and Adebowale were even more interested in going to Syria and Somalia , not Nigeria, to fight with their "brothers". This alone speaks volume to intelligence experts and level-headed people as per what is going on here. I.e the radicalisation of young Britons into "brotherhood fundamentalism". The sort so powerful it indoctrinates young Britons, including caucasians, to the point many ended up in Iraq, Syria, Afghanistan et al fighting beside their Moslem "brothers and sisters".

What is important is that lessons will be learnt from this and failings inspected. Nigerians can 'witch hunt' themselves myopically all they want but those who see what needs to be seen and constantly strive to make their nation better have already accepted that "British young men" are being indoctrinated in hatred, within the UK, towards acting against the interest of "their own Country". No matter how the attention-seeking nature of some Nigerians lead them towards making this about Nigeria the facts revealed, when inspected dispassionately and logically, will show that focus, rightfully, cannot be on Nigeria for UK decision-makers and those concerned with the security of the Country.

chris365: Guy, this is one of the reasons i hate western media with a passion.
They failed to mention that a british soldier was butchered like a chicken, close to a military baracks, they even waited and shot a video. So am guessing the whole thing lasted for about an hour.
Instead of aknowledging failure of intelligence and response from their security personel, and even by-standers that were watching the whole thing. The only thing they can come up with is that they are ''Nigerians''
I can bet you that before this incident, if you ask those boys their origin, they'll tell you they are British. And that's the truth.
These guys were born and raised in Britain just like every other Nigerians there that deny their country and abuse it on Nairaland.
The truth is that, 'this is an embarrassment to the british Government' and they are trying to cover it up by linking it to Nigeria. Because we are also facing the problem of terrorism.
please Nigerians, let us not accept this. It is wrong and a shame to the British press.

ed
My good man, the British Government is doing no such thing. It may appear so if one links the British government directly to be one and same as British Press - especially propagandist, xenophobic, anti-immigration and sometimes openly buffoon-like tabloids such as the Sun, Mirror et al.

The facts coming through and real occurrences so far, not misplaced and incongruous paranoia about some "crackdown" against Nigerians, show that decision-makers totally see what matter and will direct focus on actions that can prevent a repeat of this horrific episode - not unhelpful 'witch hunts'.

Boris Johnson, London Mayor, has exclusively told Londoners to go about their business as "they have nothing to fear" because intelligence available has shown these two, at this point in time, have no organised extended connections worth worrying about. They are not conclusively linked with any terrorist groups abroad let alone Nigeria for that matter. In short, their activities intelligence agencies must focus on is 'localised' to "their Country". We all heard Adebolajo ranting about "bring our troops back".

The pair of attackers were known to M15 and only ever considered as peripheral figures who were noticed for affiliations to other unmentioned men under investigation. I would personally believe such unmentioned 'men of interest' to be the likes of Omar Bakri, now domiclied abroad, who was head of the disbanded Al-Muhajiroun organisation that is suspected to have radicalised Adeboloja. I believe Adebowale was thwarted in an effort to travel to Somalia , not Nigeria, ostensibly to link up up with other proponents of fundamentalist terror there.

Bottom line is that we all can benefit from learning more about the facts to note the thinking of policy-makers in Britain. I don't think they are playing the blame game or focusing on Nigeria even if Nigerians themselves remain about sentiments and "notice me" victimised mentality that always leads them to make everything, self-destructively, about themselves when they would be better served looking at issues dispassionately.

The mood amongst politicians, think tanks and policy makers in Britain, as I discern it, is very much one focusing on how intelligence must operate more effectively to prevent young Britons being radicalised by extremists to the point they are willing to act against the interest of their Country.
PoliticsRe: British-born Michael Adeboloja Labelled A Nigerian: Why? by Gbawe: 8:41am On May 24, 2013
It has been interesting reading all the responses on Nairaland over this horrific attack. I do feel issues have to be put in perspective. English media has always done this. I.e accentuate the foreign origin of a Briton when the issue being reported is crime-related.

Whereas, they make no mention of foreign lineage when it is individual heroism or positive achievement being discussed. This behaviour is now 'default mode' for them. Yet, rational Britons, unconnected with politics and the media, are no longer buying the distraction. Many have agreed unequivocally that Adebolajo is "as British as you and me".

British press can continue to do their thing to serve their agenda of xenophobia and scaremongering about immigration but Britons are seeing through the ruse and noting that this open show of bias is unhelpful in the long run.

My man, we cannot just put this at the door of Nairalanders. No can do. What is the Delta State government there for? Let us not excuse the wickedness of Nigeria and lack of focus of her people and disinterest in holding their leaders accountable.

Let Delta folks take up this woman's case and petition appropriate authority in the State over this woman's plight and that of many like her.

She has her strategy right and it may just work for her
Sir, let us stop making excuses because we want to avoid, at all cost, giving credit where due. What sort of "Financial muscle" is she looking for that is beyond the capability of her own Government and people who should be most predisposed to helping her? Yet she was advised to go to Lagos?

This woman does not need help beyond that which even a few middle-class folks can join to provide. She may simply not have gained any compassion for her plight at home. Simple as that. You alone could probably give her the N200,000 she needs with ease. It may be more of an issue of compassion because you simply cannot tell me she has to go all the way to Lagos to seek that amount.

According to her, she needed N200,000 for garri and melon business and would not leave Lagos until she got the money for the business.

If the EFCC will attack PDP governors that fails to support the president's position, what will then happen to ACN, CPC and APGA governors that are solidly behind Amaechi? Are these governors not also afraid of EFCC or are they immune to EFCC arrest?

I just hope GEJ is the last accidental President Nigeria has because those unfit or undeserving of the Presidency naturally always come with garrulous and feudal elements who debase the Presidency to the general disgrace of Nigeria. I had to laugh when Aondoakaa stated that "Yar Adua can rule from anywhere" merely to validate the notion power must not be handed to GEJ. One can easily appreciate that GEJ has no capacity for learning from the past - even when he was directly involved.

We hear Yorubas are this and that, just as this ignoramus proclaims us intolerant, yet even his own kinsmen who are fair and objective admit to the tolerance of Yoruba folks that is examplary in Nigeria. The problem is that most Nigerians are simply not exposed enough to understand life better. If that were the case, then we can term the Brits intolerant and deem Pakistanis the most tolerant and most liberal in the world since they travel everywhere to seek opportunities. Yet inspected in fairness to both people, you begin to see nuances that reveal the real picture.

The Briton may simply be disinclined to leaving his land because he feels he is already in the best place for him and not because he hates others. The Pakistanis may be ready to travel anywhere yet remain very clannish plus maintain a penchant for looking down on the culture of their host and holding disdain for them. They are they ones who would rather kill their child than allow them marry those with "Western/different" values/culture. Who is then really intolerant? Those travelling everywhere throughout the world while having only disdain and a general lack of respect for their host or those who may not travel out of their domain as much as others yet treat everyone well within their border?

It is what a people do within their domain that determines their character. In this respect, only a mad person, or one damaged totally by indoctrination, will deny that the Yorubas are very fair to all within Yoruba land. You cannot just begin fabricating unfair lies about Yoruba people and expect Yorubas, even the most laid back of them, to say nothing or smile with you as some "omo ale's" do here. When a man laughs with those mocking his wife as a LovePeddler, what does that make him? If , on the other hand, he stands up like a man to defend his wife from lies and slander then fools can call him whatever name they want for doing so. The man will not care because he can look himself in the mirror knowing he has done right by his wife.

mediainspired: It's funny wen u tell Yoruba ppl dat they're d most tribalistic ppl in Nigeria, they want to argue. Just check who is derailing d thread wit their natural tribalistic jingoism: Geomac, I-B, Gbawe, Our Yansh. Sworn racists like eok-ile, alj harem etc hav not even come into d fray yet ooo. Even if an Igbo makes any tribalistic comments, it is usually as a reaction to d false superiority feelings and intolerant opinions of d average Yoruba person. Nobody gets the crown! And wat part of their culture is even superior to others? I don't know. I live in Lagos & I stil can't figure out any!
Show the tribalism in what I have written. Whether you like or accept it or not, it is people like you, illustrated by the part in bold, who spread lies about others and hold yourselves virtuous always and in relation to everything. Mine is not to stereotype anyone or anything. It is to defend myself and those I care about from lies and slander - even if some of you are not balanced enough to appreciate the difference.

Which real man stands to watch his wife, kids, ethnic group, homeland et al slandered with lies? Is it not folks like you who sit here lying against Fashola daily and calling him unsavoury names? Yet this woman was advised to go to no other than Lagos and its administrators. The point I make that your sort will always miss is that the reality on the ground defeat the lies you guys peddle here daily and throughout the world about Yoruba people. You will have everyone believe Yoruba people are the worst under the Sun in your ungodly nation yet the truth on the ground shame your lies and indoctrination.

Even in your writing here, we see the ungracious and malicious lies i.e "intolerant opinion of the average Yoruba person". If the Yorubas are to be deemed "intolerant" in Nigeria then what does that make you and others?

Why has the woman run to "Intolerant" folks with her problems? Why are "intolerant" people not butchering themselves over disdain for the religion of others? Why is this "Intolerance" not manifest in life on the ground in the SW? Your kind love lying. It is what you are indoctrinated to do and you don't care how silly you look doing it. Note my style properly and you will see it is not about hatred or prejudice for any ethnic group. More about defending my own ethnic group from lies and slander not matching what is on ground that even the truthful amongst your kinsmen attest to. In the end, I could not give a damn if your sort view me as a tribalist. Those who can reason logically can see who the tribalist is from how he tries always to ascribe bad conduct to others , defiant of real events on the ground, while he proposes himself and his own virtuous and blameless.

Yes. By voting ACN APC back with a landslide. grin grin grin grin

Jetland: Does the man really deserve it?
Well, he has done well. There is no doubt about that. If the award had gone to a mediocrity then we can have issues with it. As it is, no one knows the criteria used by the judges but we can accept that the award has been conferred on someone who has actually led well with administrative conduct that is an example for others.

jmaine: You are beyond such low standards good friend. . . Lagos has always been an attractive force for people who earnestly desire means of attaining financial freedom; and not because any messiah is manning the Govt house . .
Jmaine, o tun ti wa pelu wahala eh? My point is that Nigerians regard Fashola as a good man despite the noise made to the contrary here by certain elements. You yourself cannot deny this i.e the disconnection between what some say here and the truth on the ground.

Read again without prejudice:

Fashola, regardless of the noise on this forum, is the de-facto President in the minds of many Nigerians.
With what you write below, seeking to invoke the name of Oshiomhole, there is still no inconsistency in what I wrote mate. She and her advisor still feel, regardless of the proximity of Oshimhole, going to Lagos is best for her. No negative indictment against Oshiomhole but further proof of the perception Lagos is her best option.

Going by your attempt to over sensationalize this story . .she equally bypassed the people's governor of Edo state in person of the legendary Adams Oshiomhole, ironically closer to her than Lagos . .

DJTee: What an utter load of filthy twaddle. Coming from you, its hardly any surprise based on your contributions today. Garbage in garbage out - that's what your capable of; that's all you can give and that's all you've got.

And i refuse to descend to your pathetic level of decorum and intelligence by deviating from my earlier position - government is not doing us any special favours by providing basic utilities. That's precisely what they've been elected to do. And we will find out whether the people of the SW benefit from all these jockeying & "positioning" in a few years won't we?

And you better not denigrate Gani's memory by bringing his struggles into this. Except of course, you do not understand my English, as I'm beginning to suspect. Gani is not a regional political leader. Then Femi Falana? Are you seriously having a laugh? You know I've always left you with words of advice so this won't be any different - get off that cheap stuff you've been smoking. Its clearly not helping you buddy and will only accelerate your retardation. For the sake of all that's fair and sensible, please get your head straightened out. Shameless tart!
Oga, your dishonesty is too much. You can dance around all you want but your original utterance that sparked this exchange is reproduced below:

DJTee:

Spot on! Makes me sick in the stomach whenever cheapskates try to propagandise the most basic responsibilities and obligations of government. I blame this on those savage military boys who ravaged, brutalised & repressed folk to a state of mental surrender so much that most Lagosians now think the sun shines out of the backside of its rogue regional leaders.
This is about Lagos and Fashola yet you are calling Lagos leaders, to include Fashola, "regional leaders"? I ask you again, who should Fashola be leading or looking out for? Imo? Anambra, Ebonyi? The point is that you have merely spoken emotionally and now have nowhere to go. Next time, refrain from hollowly saying senseless things about others because to me, your totally irrelevant and senseless statement, since Fashola can only act in the interest of Lagos, is totally out of place here. It simply appears another example of saying things you are indoctrinated with without pausing to think at all. When you do that, then it is offensive. Nothing should bring "regional leader" into a discussion about Lagos and the efforts of her administrators. If you understand this then you will accept something else prompted you to make your incongruous, false and unfairly malignant statement.

yuzedo: Kai! This story touched my empathetic side.

I know niggaz that give a girl N200,000 after 5-min BJ. angry YES, i can name names, these are people we know in the corporate and political sphere, and i'm privy to their activities because girls talk. The girl then spends the money on some vain luxury that adds NO VALUE to anyone, save the person who sold it to her! Man, this life is unfair like a motherfcker!

I am willing to help this lady. The desperation that made her come to Lagos and behave this way must be one of life-and-death for her and her kids. At least no be brazilian hair she wan buy, she has a business plan which i know she will actualize if she gets funds.

To be only 21years old and already experienced suffering of a life time. My heart really goes out to her.
Someone will help her. Sad plight but many Nigerians are in her position. This is why my signature is what it is. When political posters from her State spend all their time talking about SW issues and leaders, while ignoring their own, how will these poor souls ever gain 'champions', from the privileged and educated class, to fight their cause in taking leaders like Uduaghan to task and insisting they deliver?

Look at the statement below that shows how someone from her State directed her to bypass Uduaghan, Jonathan et al and take her troubles all the way to Lagos State. This is real life, real experience and real issues as obtain on the ground and not as the ethnic jingoist present it here daily.

She said she was directed by an official of Human Rights Commission in her state to come to Lagos that she would get help.

PoliticsRe: ‘asari Dokubo, Clark Are Problems For Jonathan’ - Professor Tam David–west by Gbawe: 10:41am On May 21, 2013
Well-said sir. David-West fully articulates the stance of many of us who are against GEJ. Nothing personal. Merely that intelligent, balanced and dispassionate folks know that GEJ, to put it mildy, is nothing but another corrupt and clueless gradualist like others before him. Nigeria deserves better.

We can all merge what David-West stated with the thread currently under discussion on this forum, that I provide a link for below, which glaringly reveals the failings of GEJ and others before him to fully appreciate why David-West and virtually all the intelligent social analysts/observers in Nigerian, from every corner of the nation, have nothing good to say about the leadership of GEJ.

This is another case of what I call lazy intellectualism. First, does Jonathan have the right to go second term? I think the constitution allows him. The interpretation that he had been sworn in second term is contentious. First, he completed Yar’adua’s term. I don’t dislike him. I just don’t like the way he rules the country. I’ve told him I’ll never support him. I don’t need anything from him. What I need from him is good governance and consistency which he is not giving us. He should talk less with some rationality. He can only ask for a second term when the first time is glorious. He should act with clear conscience. He should go to the Redeemed Church and kneel down before the great man of God, and say God, I’ve done well. Can he say that? No! His performance in the first term has been woeful. Another issue is the allegation that he signed to rule for one term. Jonathan has to disprove this allegation with facts and figure.

malc619: Calling GEJ a dunce is actually an insult to the real dunces since he doesn't even measure up to that..

cool
My man, we all now see it in black and white. Those running around this forum shouting "GEJ is working" are nothing but treasonous elements. I have challenged them many times to tell us what GEJ is doing regarding the major problems of Nigeria. They have never taken me up on the challenge. Rather they flee when it is obvious they will get discredited.

Check the archives to see I have been one of the Nairalanders who has documented some of the main problems of Nigeria and actually showed factually that GEJ's actions/inactions has deliberately worsened those major headaches of our Nation. These serious problems were designed to keep us down by a thieving elite who continue to use the OBJs, Yar Aduas and GEjs to protect their 'cash-cows' and interests. That is why these type of Presidents come in and turn a blind eye to our major headaches to be carrying out patchwork BS some unambitious and clannish elements will term "performance". They will never note, in relation to our big problem of 70% recurrent expenditure, GEJ shamelessly stating that "leaner government not possible" while the Camerons, Merkel et al of the world carry out cuts as they see fit. The man does not even pretend to be seeking solutions. In fact it is clear he is actually sticking his finger up at us and sabotaging Nigeria, on behalf of his 'buddies', such as when he conceded our refineries into the hands of grand corruption (NNPC) for two years !!!

Now I am vindicated with absolute proof of the complicity of GEJ no one can argue with. Sadly this is Nigeria. This will change nothing and those sectionally devoted to GEJ will remain so - and this is the real worry for Nigeria.

President Jonathan and the petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, have been accused in previous investigations by journalists including the now rested NEXT Newspapers of serial violations of Nigerian laws in the allocation of oil blocks and oil export licenses.

Other recommendations that NEITI has made but which have been ignored by the successive federal governments include automation of data gathering and records keeping process, and transparency and accountability in management of revenue flows from companies to the Federation account. Mr. Orji pointed out that Nigeria could have fared better if these identified remedial issues were promptly addressed by government.
