dominique:

I'm telling you! I was really rooting for Hitv to send dstv packing but that suberu guy messed up big time. Increasing tarrifs anyhow, terrorising viewing centres and the likes. Instead of increasing the quality and quantity of programs, he choose to focus on the football aspect alone. The guy goofed no be small.

There should be a way Nigerians can boycott payment of their subscriptions. Some will not hear of it, they depend on this rubbish cable channel as if their lives depend on it. They're the ones giving dstv the free hand to increase tarrifs anyhow.

From what i heard his creditiors wanted to help him reorganise his company when the going was good but he rebuffed all effort to and wanted to continue his 'one-man show' and when the time came to get bank guarantee for the premiership right his creditors backed out and he ;ost the right and they swooped in on him and that was the end of his company and because he built his company on football alone... who does that?
TV/Movies / Re: DStv Raises Charges Again. by gbokukueba(m): 6:21pm On Oct 05, 2013
Promhize:

The mistake Hitv made was that they wanted single right to premiership. What they should have done was gotten for themselves and let dstv be able to get the same price and then drastically reduce the amount they charge their subscribers, but if I was someone like dangote, who born dstv well, they can never outbid me.

Unfortunately they do not have a second chance...

When a Nigerian had the opportunity to send DSTV back to Mzanzi what did he do... he started storming viewing centres with policemen to harras business owners, then he went on a buying spree with the latest range of cars... today DSTV is back on the driver's seat and there is no competition forget all those funny cable stations they will fizzle away in no time...

Lifted from Sahara Reporter

The Irony of life: double wahala for dead body & its owners Before he became a governor, Olusegun Kokumo Agagu was the Aviation Minister under Olusegun Obasanjo. Under his watch Aviation sector in Nigeria became a death trap and a nightmare for many travellers. Mr. Agagu did
nothing to revive or help the sector, but he helped his pocket. His dead body “re-died” alongside of his many other family members, a day before his internment. This reminds me of Abdukarim Adisa as minister of Works. Although he was from Ilorin, Adisa refused to fix the Ibadan Ilorin road. Few years later he died in an accident on the same road. I hope all the other imbeciles ruling Nigeria know that life & death can also be a metaphor. Corruption has a way of fighting back, when you least expect it. Fix Nigeria. You will not only invariably fix your family in the process, but your future, and your future resting place. I hope Adeseye Ogunlewe is reading this!!!

I see no reason why you should not do the course and it is too early to be asking this type of question when you have huge opportunity to learn and step chnage your future.
I will give you my personal experience, i was admitted into Political Science but because i didnt have Mathematics in O levels i wasnt registered so i had to choose between Guidance & Counselling or Psychology.
I choose Psychology and for the first year was trying to secure a move to History department because i felt i would do well there but thank God it didnt work out and today i have no regret studying Psychology infact am a better person because of the course i studied.
So my advise to you is go ahead and do the course and trust God to settle your future... by the way when did they merge Philosophy and Religious Studies in your school? It used to be seperate...

Rossikk: I've been all over and believe me, foreign hotels are over rated. Most are no better or worse than their Nigerian counterparts.

I will not disagree with the first part of your point but the second part i think hotels in Nigeria are hastily rated... imagine Golde Tulip saying its a 4star hotel... i lived in a 4 star hotel in Dubai for 9months its can compete with the so called 5 star hotels in Nigeria...
