Unfortunately, as a people, irrespective of age bracket, we love to seek validation even from people who don't matter; thus, many wouldn't yield to such noble advice.

When he went about dancing and been petty whenever he talked at manifestos, why do we expect him to do much in office? We are hypocrites, always expecting to reap what we did not sow.

We should accept the continuous fraud cos that was what we voted.

Lymasaba:

That must be a special case. I know hospitals looking for young doctors to start residency even without primaries at hand. eg FMC Nguru, also check out for FMC Yola

Maybe things have changed of late. In the 2010/2011/2012 most of my friends who had passed primaries couldn't get a place for primaries in the SW particularly those without god fathers. Many had to move a little up north for residency while others waited till they finally got a place.

I am not sure as it depends on my mood. One thing though I will go with over others is pounded yam and a very reasonable soup.

There are many doctors looking for residency in Nigeria. Perhaps, now those without connection can get a place for residency.

That said, so that every doctor doesn't become consultant and run away, it is time to look into the earnings of doctor and try to make it favorable such that it is fair enough to make them stay. This applies to every other sector.

Family / Re: I Love Her But At Almost 40 Years Old, I Cannot Ignore Her Fertility Issues. by GboyegaD(m): 8:26pm On Nov 28, 2023

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and being realistic.
I can't do the bolded cos she is a virgin as such we cant even have sex.
I am not sure if I want to convince her to loose her virginity as that would be unfair in case I choose not to marry her.

This is why I say its a kind of dilemna for me.

Please, let her be if getting pregnant is the most important thing to you. In my opinion, I feel knowing your deal breaker is good and you should be able to make a decision on it by yourself without dragging another person into it. If you feel you are not cut out to wait till whenever she gets pregnant, please kindly let her know you want out of the relationship. If otherwise, get her to start treatment, get married and wait to see the manifestation of what you hope for.

I am a woman. When a woman says at 27years that she's a virgin and that she prefers sex after marriage, oga take off! 99 percentage of such narrative is lies. Get someone else, impregnate and marry. Simple

Could it be that she has friends/family members who had suffered some ill fate because they waited till marriage and now thinking she's found the right person she is willing to explore? There surely is more to the story however, I am not sure it is fair to conclude.

PCOS can be resolved. It is a case of hormonal imbalance. You could support her to see a good gynecologist. You could also advice her to read the "trying to conceive" thread on nairaland.

Thanks for your input

Until there are environmental laws against pollution, the best I think you should do is approach the woman and ask if she can change the direction of how she cooks so that the smoke can spread and dissipate fast in the air. That way, you wouldn't be affected too much.

Exactly. Always make yourself scarce.
Allow the wife to go first and then only join them when the program has started.

This is the most unreasonable thing I have read. You only disrespect yourself if you can't be at the program on time. I don't understand when late coming to functions adds to respect.
Whether you go early or otherwise, if you don't act reasonable, you will still be disrespected.

I wonder how people seek advice for things like this online. You are the only one who knows what's best for you. Read up and know what your options are and gently make your decision.
