Alakoriomo: Man lament for buying 5 pieces of apple, eggs and tomatoes for 32$ (after taxes). Americans are enjoying but they’ll still complain why?
But this guy complain just for $32? Why are some people ungrateful This is not America product. This is Canadian grocery as seen by the eggs. It is a PC Canadian product. |

sparko1: Why would you want the border open when you can find everything you want in the market 🙄🙄🙄
By the way, a kilo of cocoa is now over 10k Naira, I went to the village this December, the car I drive home has nothing on the cars they are now using, one of my family friends has his own house well furnished with SOLAR panels and big generator.
Be there and be lying to yourself they are not producing anything, someone told me he made 5 million from maize this year alone, he has plantain farms, made over 10 million from casava farms.
Just wait until Federal government pass the bill to add casava to floor, you will understand, just be lying to yourself. Yimu! Closed border and almost everything sold in store are foreign produced. Cocoa at N10k with the naira depreciating isn't great. The value is less compared to when it was sold for N6k and exchange rate was N450/$1. I am sure we both know the truth but for reasons best known to you, you choose to ignore. |

sparko1: I knew that was your angle from your statement, you want REAL INDUSTRIES FARMING when it's not profitable, farmers are Nigerians too they deserve appreciation.
You are just pained because they get to make enough from their farm, and by the way more people are going into farming, and in 2 years that they might just be able to sustain the country in food production.
The only reason problem facing agriculture is storage, every crop is produced in excess but because there's no adequate storage it looks like a seasonal production. I like how we deceive ourselves so much as a people. So many people have been engaged in farming and their produce can't sustain their families let alone having extra for sales. Why would I be bothered about farmers making their money when I make mine? Everyone would do what they find convenient and put food on their table however, closing the borders and worsening the inflation situation isn't the solution. |

sparko1: Look at this one, seriously, same way some Nairalander were happy about the new naira note that was destroying the economy, Nigerians have this selfish blood that only care about themselves.
You are angry because farmers can earn a living, you expect the government to open border so farm produce can be cheap not minding the economy disadvantage or the effect on local production.
If you want to make money in agriculture, start your own farm, Nigeria has enough land, stop being lazy and bitter.🙄🙄 Please, stop being silly. What local production are you talking about here? Or farmers can't sustain a quarter of the economy and until real industries farming is practiced, closing the borders will only worsen the inflation situation. |

ElSudani: You are talking nonsense. I bet you didn't listen to his media chat. Perhaps that could have given you a little insight into what he is doing to put Nigeria back on track. How many countries in the world spend 40% of its revenue to subsidize just one commodity? Nigerians should praise him for taking a bold step to save the country from bankruptcy. There was no reason to float the naira when he did knowing fully well we are a mono economy relying only on crude oil. The timing was very inappropriate. |

I heard of a distant uncle growing up who was checking his daughters virginity with eggs. When the 1st one turned 14, she claimed she was lured by an Alhaji who was gifting her things as he father want well to do and want serious about his kids except for truth virginity. In summary, she stayed in Alhaji's house for 3 days and sent a message to her parents on why she couldn't come home. That was the last time their dad checked any of his daughters.
Parents should teach their children morals and let them know keeping yourself until marriage irrespective of gender is for your own good. It is your body thus, be selfish about doing the right thing to it. |

We the people in general are the main problem. IyaTola: I completely agree with you on that, there are certain things hidden from the public in the bill but it's a step on the right direction. Have you thought why the things that could be controversial are hidden in thin fine prints? In this case where we don't know the hidden thing, it could be more deep than we can imagine and there is no reason why such things should be hidden from the public. |

IyaTola: it's not a hidden secret Gboyega. It all over the internet. The senate mentioned a 600 page bill in their sittings, the online version has 200 pages. Do you think what is currently online is the full/final version subject to review? If nothing is hidden, i am not sure there should be much disparity in the volume. |
