Back in Uni days (2002-2006) I also did this a lot and got into trouble alot of times with my dad's car and mums car.
Sometimes I will return the car in peace sometimes with damages, scratches etc.
But I will never ever forget one catastrophic experience back in secondary school, when 4 school mates sneaked out their dad's car from IB to visit Lagos. On their way back to IB they had a terrible accident and 3 of them lost their lives (2brothers and the 3rd guy) the fourth guy was super lucky cos they just dropped him off after the accident happened.

I would rather say take them to diving school once they get to the age they can start driving wherever you are. Then, they will learn to drive more responsibly and also taught what to look out for to know if they should move the car straight to a workshop or if the car should be driven.

Never did because I felt I don't want trouble. My younger brother was the opposite. My parents used to go out in one car because my mom was selling at Tincan while my dad's office was at Aerodrome Road in Apapa and the other car was always home. The height was when my brother knocked the engine of my dad's car and he did nothing to him all because his name is Babatunde. That guy did all the unbearable because he knows my dad would only rant and goes Babatunde, how can I beat my father. I dislike that name to the highest heaven back then because I had to do chores way beyond necessary because Babatunde wouldn't do anything.

I don't feel like she played me, she indeed played and manipulated me, by now I'd have been completely single like almost all of my guy's. Living my life to the fullest until I'm fully ready for marriage and it's responsibilities.

That aside, imagine my wife telling me this morning that how much is goat? That I'm complaining about that they're talking about life and I'm complaining about money, if money can buy life etc.

I then responded that goat is almost 100k if I asked her to cough 100k or 50k if she'd be able to bring it. That because I normally gives her money occasionally she doesn't know the value of money and how hard it is to get.

We dated for two years before marriage and in those two years she only worked twice, firstly... In a bet 9ja shop which she worked only one month and stopped, Secondly in another bet 9ja shop, she worked for a month also and stopped, with the excuse that the manager in charge is controlling. Since then until date she hasn't done anything to earn money or knows how hard it is to earn it, I'll give her 13 to 15k for soup and she'd always complain that it isn't enough. She doesn't know how to manage.

Why? Because she doesn't know the value of money or how hard it is to make money in this current economy.

Why are you blaming her for everything? Abeg, learn to act like a man and take responsibilities. She hasn't been working and you are comfortable with it, why now talk her down? You saw the signs and decided to act like an alpha and omega, why blame her for it?

I understand your points, but me doing the right thing by getting married to their daughter and removing shame from her eye's now seems like a crime. The one's that got their daughter pregnant and didn't do anything on their head, not even an introduction are on the safer side right now. No single expense was calculated for them, I have always regretted this marriage right from the very first day, but this recent development just made me regret it 10x more than I already did.

Regretting 10 times more because of what the brother said? Abeg, you be man so? You should learn to protect her even if you guys are divorced because she is at least the mother of your child. You got to apologize to her for the public humiliation.
As for the items you are asked to buy, you don't have to if you don't want to. If his kids will not but him, then his siblings should. It is no custom as he would have been buried but whoever if none of his kids were married.

Nobody ties your brother with you unless you mention it. Americans don’t assume that because you bear same surname, you are brothers.

I didn’t mention in my DS-160 form that my older brother lives in the U.S. Can I fill out a new DS-160 with that information and bring both forms to my interview? I’m concerned that if they ask me about family in the U.S. and I say no, they might already have my brother's information in the system, which could make me look dishonest. But if I say yes, it would create inconsistencies since I didn’t include him in my DS-160.

For context, I’ll be going for my F-1 visa interview. My brother was also an F-1 student but is now on an H-1B visa working full-time.

This marvels me too. I guess many of them use agents who charges them millions just to fill forms. I remember a friend telling me he has been denied four times only to tell me his profile reads something different from who he is.

Many go to the embassy to gamble. With the current situation of the country, why would someone earning less than N1.5m a month apply to visit the US? How much is the cost of flight? Visa officers think in this light to assess you as an individual. It makes no sense if you want to spend your 6 months net income to visit their country.
The same way they deny us is how the Nigerian consulate deny Americans visas.

There is a thread for Nigerian nurses planning to emigrate. Rather than spending so much going to school, go get information about the country you want her to go and pursue that. It is cheaper, convenient, and you all can leave together.

In PH, they make the best roast yam/ plantain sauce ever. Looking at it now, it's like pepper/ tomatoe sauce with palm oil very well fried. More pepper with lots of onions. Then they sprinkle utazi on top to give it that classic taste. I think they add something else apart from Maggi or knorr cube. That thing is so sweet. Plantain is better as half ripe. Then roast mackerel fish. That is where the main work is. I noticed they soak the fish in the sauce first, like they will swin it in it before roasting then subsequently bath the body with the oil from the sauce until it's well roasted and smokey.

I wonder if people can afford that anymore. Some mothers send their children to university with this. You see big big ogas park cars to eat roast plantain/yam and fish. Heard they organise bole festival these days. This picture is one of them

Unfortunately, many people outside the country who has no idea of America sees the country from their lenses and think they understand the country better than the inhabitants. God will guard us all.

Yes, the new baby could be the reason why. Have patience. Don’t scold her. Ask her if she needs to pee every hour.

Maybe she needs more of your attention again and reassurance that she is loved. I know it’s hard with a new baby but it probably is even harder for her. She needs time, support and patience to be able to adjust and find her place in the new setting.

One way of facilitating the process for her is to involve her. For example, when you guys change the baby‘s diaper or she can cuddle with one of you and the baby next to you sleeping. Explain to her what the baby needs and why and that she was like this too. Tell her that she is the big sis now and be proud of her when she assists you guys. Make it a positive experience for her.
