Apcshyte: So people protesting are now suspects? Na wa o That was the best way I could describe them. Perhaps, there is a better way but the article I read did not see them as protesters as they claim they had Russian flags and were arrested for treason. |

soullove1881: You have a point, bro, but these minors actually loot individual businesses. Business owners suffered significant losses. While they are minors, holding them accountable will also serve as a deterrent to other minors to stay away from looting. I wouldn't be as concerned if it was the government that was affected, but it's struggling individuals like us who bear the brunt.
Where this government went wrong is failing to provide proper care for them while awaiting trial. A more sensible approach would have been to impose fines on their parents, with daily percentage increases. Instead, abandoning them in cells which achieves nothing. There are juvenile programs they should have placed them instead of taking them to the prisons. That was damaging particularly for a child that lacks basic understanding. You could remand them in juvenile homes as a deterrent to others and correct their perspectives to life. In my opinion, it seems like the case of "omo ti a o ko, oun lo ma ko ti ile ta" which typically means a child not well raised will destroy your legacy. |

Tinubu2027Agend: Continue to wallow in self deceit.
The same so called 'children' are the ones being recruited by bokoharam, and you were always quick to shout 'kill them', 'arrest them', 'destroy them' whenever it suits your narratives.
But now since it is the Jagaban that is the president, you suddenly see the criminals (that looted and destroyed properties and even has the guts to carry another country's flag while calling for coup) as children...
Continue to enjoy your delusion
This is the same way Mmesoma, the criminally lying girl was being goaded on and supported by many gullible people led by ezekwesili. And when the akara burst, they changed topic, that she is a minor!!!
Shouldn't we be scared that such an irresponsibly lying girl like Mmesoma can lie her way into the helms of affairs Unfortunately, rather than see the crime in the actions of the government, your bigoted sense saw it as a tribal war. Question is do this children even know what Russia is or where it is? Aren't they product of the failed governments both in the past and present? As at 2008 UNICEF report, Nigeria had one of the highest population of out of school children with majority from the North, how did the past government address this? It's a bigger problem we are dealing with and if we decide not to deal with it and go the bigotry way as you are doing, worse is yet to come. |

What is there to commend? If the people did not condemn the act will Fagbemi have acted? Was the government not trying to score some cheap points in the name of trying those suspected for treason when the real suspects that should be tried are walking freely on the street? |

Femeto: These US V.O's are just wicked. Sharing refusals like water today. How would you say you can't believe that a Company in Nigeria would want to sponsor a student VISA because of the unstable FX. Why do you find this difficult to believe? Do you know what it means for a company to sponsor a student for two years (at an average of $30k per year)? In recent times, that is about N100million. I find it hard to believe let alone a visa officer. It is a different thing if it is a scholarship and the reputation of the company offering such would be reviewed particularly, if it is an indigenous company. Truth is the government isn't making things better for us and unfortunately, we as a people are not making it easier for ourselves too. |

The challenge is not that people prioritize foreign wars over native for instance. 6 yards of Ankara and the cost of sewing a is way higher.
On the small jobs, the challenge is that the wage is usually too meager with difficult working conditions coupled with the high price of living. Thus, it makes no sense laboring and not being able to feed well in the least |

Dinner:
Pounded yam with Egusi Ijebu.
Madam asked when next I planned cooking egusi Ijebu and then I realized we have Egusi since only God knows when. Cooked it the right way however, it didn't end up being velvety smooth. Guessing it is because the seeds have been in the pantry for so long.
For Pounded yam, since we haven't bought a new food processor, tried using the potato ricer. It was stressful and ended up having little lumps.

descarado: Make a thick sauce of choice and rub all over the steamed cabbage before putting your fillings. I always add mustard to my sauce. Or you can substitute to a sweeter veggie like lettuce. Romaine lettuce preferably. Nigerian type of lettuce is so good for wrap without seasoning it. Thank you. Will try this. |

Unfortunately, many ran with the story without reading through for deeper understanding of his profile. I have learned topics on Nairaland can be sensational and one needs to do his/her research to understand better. Great profile he's got. |

Cabbage rolls and a side of salad.

Voltron007: A small tuber of yam is 25-30$ here in Toronto. That’ is 1 small yam is $30. There’s money in food business. Most yams sold in African stores in North America are imported from Ghana and not Nigeria. Buy a box instead of tuber. The tuber prices seem like scam. |

I have been a guest on this educative platform for over two years I created an account to seek advice from matured minds and well educated individuals.
I would love to know if it’s embarrassing or rather inappropriate to go back to a previous job , it’s been four years since I left the job and resigned but I still maintained a good relationship with the management…
we communicate from time to time Life can be unpredictable and things are not going as planned and as a struggling young man I need to survive one way or the other i would really love your inputs and advice on this issue Thanks and God bless No crime just make sure everything about the offer is well documented as it is sounding almost like a very small organization. Please don't show any form of depression. Back in the days in banking, people go and come back for higher levels so no big deal. |
