I used starch in the soup. I had earlier said I was going to prepare the soup with starch as the solid however, I decided against the solid as starch and decided we eat the soup with pounded yam.

I will try. I learnt an easier way to eat spicy food is to add some sweet to it which usually will not go with our Nigerian food.

Cos they eat healthy most times na.
We eat more than 80% carbohydrate per meal. We can't even compare.
We don't even have proteins. Only animal protein and beans which is more of carb. Normal every meal veggies like carrots, we will rather wait till we make fried rice. We even prefer raw carrot when cooked carrot is what we needed. We need nutritionists to plan our meals. Japan did it.
Wonder what those who studied that course do in real life.

Yes, it helps with digestion and by extension weight management. I can say I have improved to 2 and sometimes 3 out of 10. It can only get better with time.

Brown butter garlic, onions, and parsley rice, a side of plantain, and beef stew.

I had other plans but when I realized I needed to cook stew, I just pivoted to something easy.

Like I said, he need fix his phone too. The cost of fixing his phone is small. While his wife deserves the best he needs to also live a good life too.

If he can't afford to use at least a decent phone, I do not think his decision to buy the latest iPhone for his wife is right considering the cost of fixing his own phone when compared to the latest iPhone.

Just create time for it. Sometimes, I cook the different proteins in reasonable quantity and put them in ziplocks whichchickens cooking time for days I just need to fix something real quick.

I no be swallow master is just that it is sometimes easier to whip recently since I am too lazy to do a food timetable which means we just have to make do with whatever we have as grocery. Besides, most times, my own na to make soup waka comot and madam makes the swallow as I no get patient dey first put swallow inside plastic wrap, something wey I dey chow immediately.

Tried the soup for the first time and my family loves it. Decided against the starch being this is my first time making the soup and needed to be sure everyone would like it.

I am restricted to PhD because it is the program that comes out on top in terms of full funding with living stipends called Teaching or Research Assistantships. Many Msc programs are not funded, or they would be partly funded, and I don't have the resources or network to complete the full funding. So I rely on PhD programs which largely come with full funding, but tough to get from a BSc if you didn't have a first class anyway, which I actually didn't.

My plan after the program would be to contribute to research in any of the Big Pharma's located in the US.

Since this is a safe space devoid of any VO presence (if I am correct), a Pharmacy practice wouldn't be existentially bad if I am not satisfied with the working environment at a research company. But that would mean me writing professional licensure exams and doing hours of internship, which I wouldn't mind.

However, the former remains the initial plan.

Not sure you are fully at a disadvantage for a PhD. Just take your time to find that program that have supervisors in your field of interest.
