If only you know the daily cry, you would understand why I bowed to the pressure of getting married to her, which I'm still regretting until date everytime I think that I'm married to someone that I don't love, and worst still not sexually attracted to, it hurts me a lot everytime I think about it, our marriage is just 4 months and I have already started regretting everytime I think that I'm married and I don't have 1% love for who I'm married to, it would still be good if I'm sexually attracted to her, but I'm not. I'm so deeply hurt.
What does it mean to love another person? Have you tried looking inwards to see why you finally accepted her tears and marry her? That could be the starting point to help you love her more. Remember, love is a choice and decision you make, and not the butterflies we think we feel.

We didn't discussed anything regarding name change during courtship, If I told her to change her name today, she'd do it. But she's supposed to know that I don't need to remind her and change it already, that's my pain.
Why must she change her name? What constitution demands it? This are basic things people should discuss while dating. Nothing is too irrelevant to be discussed.
At this time, you would learn to be diplomatic and make her see reasons why she should change her name to yours.

The stupidity of these groups is how they all make banners. Does this mean for them to meet on an issue they take this serious they make banners? Nigerian leaders and their foolish actions.

Could be anything from feeling maltreated by her or simply saw they could steal from her and covered up with the murder.I'm sure they tried to bolt but were rounded up.

...but how do you live alone with grown up men who are strangers. That's a security risk.
Could it also be the work of the enemies of the father?

BusinessRe: Three African Countries Owe Nigeria $14.2m Electricity Debt – NERC by GboyegaD(m): 7:19pm On Jul 31, 2024
nairalanda1:
Yes, I agree, but the truth is, many of those officials have been attacked by customers when they try to enforce the law or come with police.

And most Nigerians hail them

Remember the high ranking customs officer who threatened disco officials with a gun...when they caught him bypassing his meter. Once not far from where I lived, some disco officals and police were attacked by customers they caught bypassing meters.

SO, what do you expect them to do. Take the bribe and save their lives. Enforce the law, and get killed, and your family loses its breadwinner.

When it comes to power supply Nigerians think it should be free of charge. That is why up till today we don't have light.
It is well ooo. What happened to the custom officer? Did he go scout free?
BusinessRe: Three African Countries Owe Nigeria $14.2m Electricity Debt – NERC by GboyegaD(m): 3:52pm On Jul 31, 2024
nairalanda1:
So, why should people bypass their meters? Shey you know they are part of the reason why you don't have light?
People do because the officials that should hand them over to law enforcement prefers to take bribe from them.
BusinessRe: Three African Countries Owe Nigeria $14.2m Electricity Debt – NERC by GboyegaD(m): 2:10pm On Jul 31, 2024
Throwback:
Good you corrected your own perspective.

Many Nigerians, even those earning over N1m and N2m monthly, are still in the habit of bypassing their electricity meter to connect directly to their air conditioners and water heaters.

The eventual manipulated and underestimated bill, they will still owe.

I blame our poor legal system for the effrontery that Nigerians have. Many who are roaming free, actually deserve to be in prison for one crime or the other.
Is this an excuse? Put the blame on the discos who employ the average fraudulent Joe who does anything to cheat the system and enrich himself.

Why is it difficult to differentiate between facts and humor?. We as football fans argue with our friends and it ends there,m; just for humor aka entertainment. Don’t be surprised the groom and brides father (Representative) have discussed, argued and made jokes about each persons football club, hence the guy waited for this opportunity to throw banter at the guy, such as “ I don catch you now”. It’s just for humor. Calm down and take life jeje.
Because we do not understand appropriate language. You could banner between yourself or among friends and not at an occasion as his wedding.

The good side is that the N20k they will be given is spent in the same market as others. In essence, the money makes no difference and they only encouraged their slave masters to continue with their corrupt practices.

Yet they would blame marriage institution instead of actors involved to make it successful.

Why dictating for a grown up adult about his choice of football club ,just because it's not aligned with ur own beloved football club?

Not until we learn how not to go beyond our boundaries, marriage would continue having issues.
Unfortunately, many think it is a good joke because we do not understand boundaries.

I wouldn't deny what I stand for and would rather express my displeasure from being disrespected. I have done things people tag as wrong from setting boundaries but I don't care as I wouldn't disrespect you and wouldn't take disrespect as well.

Our politicians are useless, very selfish, and do not mean well. Would have thought PDP should show a good example as an opposition party alas, we all are clueless irrespective of party affiliation.

Like, the ROI doesn’t make sense at all.
I believe the current administration has made things worse. Back in the days, $30k USD was just about N5million which was very meaningful, affordable to mid to senior working class parents in private organizations, and you could get a reasonable job should you decide to return. With the current exchange rate, it is suffocating to elite parents except your company is paying or the parents are politicians.

I am amused our officials do inspections on 5 km roads. Besides, why is the minister constructing a 5km road? I would have thought a lack of proper road network is one of our issues and the government would rather plan it well than this piecemeals.

Me: Good morning ma
Vo: So you are going for your bachelors in Business Administration and Management?
Me: Yes I am….(I wanted to talk more about it but she cut me off)
Vo: what will you be studying under it?
Me: (I was confused so i repeated it) My course is Business Administration and Management
Vo: No Bus admin is the general term so what will you be studying under it. Or you don’t know what you’re going to study?
Me: (I realized she was asking what is my concentration) No I do. It is Management information Systems….(I wanted to talk about it but she cut me off again)
Vo: Apart from the scholarship how would you fund the rest
Me: My aunty is sponsoring me. she’s the CEO of ——— A company that deals in oil and gas
Vo: (Okay and she started typing)
Vo: what will you be doing after graduation?
Me: I will be returning back to Nigeria to take an entry level position at (my aunts company) and then work up my way to my final goal of becoming a financial manager because I want to contribute to Nigeria’s growing economy my directly impacting the financial success of a company in Nigeria.
Vo: (she started typing for a while then gave me the blue paper)

No document was asked

I’m thinking of reapplying but I’m not sure because my start date is getting close
Does this mean you would be spending an average of extra $20000 ($80000 over 4 years an equivalent of N120million today) to come start a job of maybe N10million per annum? Think about it, internalize it, and see if it makes sense.

Initially paid last week. But they messed the payment up and we only just found out when I didn’t get payment confirmation.

Unfortunately, today Western Union is actually down in Dallas.
That's a serious issue but you could go with the receipt you got from last week perhaps, they will let you in and then you can explain to the visa officer.

Been trying to complete sevis fee payment for some days now and been having issues, while interview is tomorrow.

Is it safe to go for the interview while I still wait for the sevis to be processed or I just wait till it’s processed?
How are you processing it? Tell the person to go to the nearest Western Union to pay. The receipt should be sufficient for you.

Good day, people

Please I’m in a fix. I made the worst mistake of my life. In my DS-160, I filled that my brother is a US citizen and I got rejected on Friday. How do I wash myself clean going forward knowing this is a big issue.

Please I need help!
Your brother being a citizen has nothing to do with your rejection in my opinion. Many people have family members and were not denied because of this except if the Visa Officer is an over zealous one. You mind sharing your transcript perhaps people can help shed more light?

In all you do, please do not part with your money to anyone whether from this platform or otherwise.
