All these theory sef. Smh.

There's no way you will not both fill the roles of parent to each other at some point in time. When the man is at his lowest ebb, he will first explain his predicaments to his wife and will rely on her for a measure of parental nurturing and vice versa for the wife too.

When spouses are celebrating milestones, the most important person they look out for in the audience is his or her spouse. Thats the role children put their parents o.
He said girlfriend and not spouse, why twist the advice?
PoliticsRe: Minimum Wage: Accept Offer That Won’t Lead To Job Losses, FG Tells Labour by GboyegaD(m): 8:18pm On Jun 12, 2024
Bebigiby1:
Private sector are not mandated to pay the same wage as government as business owners negotiate directly with workers…. If all governors are able to pay themselves a harmonized humongous wage package then they have no reason not to pay a fair minimum wage in their states….
My issue is that NLC is only fighting for the Federal Worker and the resultant effect will bite on every worker. They should use their power to demand for a better government policy that eases the pains by either allowing more importation to enable us have more at a cheaper rate for example.
PoliticsRe: Minimum Wage: Accept Offer That Won’t Lead To Job Losses, FG Tells Labour by GboyegaD(m): 7:29pm On Jun 12, 2024
Bunch of clowns (both Federal Government and Labor).

The Federal Government hires less than 30% of the entire work force and I am sure States might suffer the impact of a very high minimum wage more; however, the highest chunk of workers are in the private sector and the minimum wage unfortunately in Nigeria does not translate to this sector. This is because the government does not enforce the minimum wage efficiently due to their inefficiencies and the difficult business environment in Nigeria for the private sector.

There was @GboyegaD confirmed it. It was Madhouse. The one downstairs inside Video Mart wasn't an arcade; just had consoles and TVs
There was also another with just console at the FHA club on 22 road back then. I think I preferred the one at 322/41 road more. It had an ice cream store opposite so after wasting your money, you console yourself by buying ice cream to manage the pains.

I guess I wasn't just too good then and could only play well from player 1 on the joystick. Now at work, I have access to multiple games but I only play street fighter and street of rage.

I am guessing these rams were fed with golden grass.

I understand things are very pricey of late however, the part I do not understand is how this impacted the cost of feed to the point where a ram now cost this much. My hope is that people live within their means and not go out of their way to compete.

There was a video club then that had a game house inside and an arcade upstairs. Spent hours there playing street fighter! We hated the fact that it was build in a field where we played but with a game house, fast food outlet and a laundry opposite us... We couldn't complain
It was called Mad House. I never liked it because it was too rough. There was one game house between 322 Road A close and 41 Road A close. I think it was called Mega something.

That was my Primary School, I graduated from there in 1992. I was the Timekeeper in Primary 6 and Mrs Oke was our headmistress.
Truth be told, Illegal houses, hotels, and prostitution made Festac lose its glory. Festac was compared to Lekki Peninsula and Ikoyi, this was before people started trooping to Ajah and its environs.
That was my original set although I left earlier. Who are you if you don't mind me asking.

Indeed, Mrs. G. B. Oke was our headmistress. We have a what's app group that is very functional too. Let's connect abeg.

Hello everyone,
A non-family member is sponsoring me for my education. The deficit is about $22,000, and he has double that amount in his account. However, I'm concerned they might require more proof of my relationship with him. I'm 16 years old and pursuing my BSc. My sponsor is a family friend whom I've known for years. He promised that if I graduated from secondary school with good results and received any type of scholarship, he would cover the remaining expenses. Fortunately, I received a full tuition scholarship.
Please I really need advice on this 🙏
You have a full tuition scholarship and your family friend is there to sponsor your outstanding (boarding, books, and feeding). This should give you the confidence you need to go get your visa. A simple question is how do you address him? If anyone ask about your sponsor, just state Mr X or Uncle X depending on how you call him and explain the relationship and how he has always believed in you and promised to sponsor you through school.

I would rather you focus on why the school, what your long term plans are, how the program will help you achieve that amongst others.

Congratulations in advance and I hope to read your success story.

OyoTunjiUSA:
Hey 🤠

1. You are likely going for another VISA debacle because your whole scenario is like taking your priceless tie (which the USA embassy in Nigeria holds as a collateral for your return after study) away from Nigeria.

2. Despite the fact that the USA embassy knows that your wife must visit or eventually join you over there in America, but you did not even plan the whole visa process well. Applying for your wife’s F1-VISA two (2) months after marriage is too soon which will be term to relocation intents..

3. Consular did not doubt the authenticity of your marriage, but he or she doubts the authenticity of your mission. Your wife is expected to be visiting and coming back once in a while. She should have waited till Eid el Kabir or Xmas or other general festive holidays before applying for the visa.

4. Well , never say never. since you have purchased another MRV that means you are determined to give it a retrial. But a good counselor must have a clue of your profiles, copies of your previous DS-160 s, your academic standings in USA, your wife’s ties and your last visa transcripts in order to arrive at a positive re-application.

Best Wishes 🙏
I do not agree with your second point. I have a friend whose wife attended her F2 interview the following week after their wedding and was granted . For mine, we attended interview together two weeks after our wedding and were granted F1 and F2 respectively (however, in my case, I have schooled in the US in the past and that is why I wouldn't want to use mine as a typical example).

On the 3rd point, why would anyone expect his wife to be coming on and off if she doesn't say that is what she wants to do? Who is he suppose to sleep with when she is not around? No one will want to separate a spouse except the spouse decides to do that him/herself.

Last year when I submitted his statement it was $35,000 then and it covered my COA, because I had issues with the department, I was moved to another department this January and they issued I-20 form in March , another statement of account wasn’t requested. Maybe due to the issues I had with the department, my documents were forwarded to another department for admission.

From last year until now, the money has reduced…so I am asking if I can present the available 20k USD or wait for more money end of June . I don’t have any grant or scholarship
I would suggest you wait till end of June and use that time to ensure you tie up every lose strings on your end. This would include ensuring your story is tight and convincing enough because paying $35k is no child's play and you have to prove beyond doubt it is a worthy investment.

Hello Everyone,

Please help!

My spouse was denied an F-2 visa in May.
It seems the VO wasn’t very much convinced about the authenticity of our marriage because we had the marriage in March this year (I came home) and/or probably no strong home ties.
Now, we are planning on reapplying.

My questions;
1. Has been anyone been through this same situation before? How did you restrategize?

2. It’s been over a week and our request to schedule an appointment hasn’t been approved. Please what can we do?

Thank you.
I do not know how this works totally but I do not think it is because of the date of marriage she was denied. I would suggest you review her interview to find what could be the cause of the delay and fix it.

An Ode to my beautiful Festac:

Oh my Festac, once radiant, now forlorn,
Your beauty dimmed, your pride, once brightly worn.
In you, my heart found solace, peace serene,
A haven where my joys and dreams convene.

May those in power hear our heartfelt plea,
Restore your grace, your charm, your dignity.
For in your arms, my soul learned to be free,
A sanctuary of love and harmony.

Your streets, the cradle of my fearless youth,
Where safety reigned, and life was purest truth.
Embodying the dreams of unity,
A symbol of our nation's legacy.

Forever in my heart, your memory glows,
A beacon of the peace that ever grows.
Oh Festac, may you rise and shine anew,
A testament to all our dreams come true.

For those of us who grew up in Festac, I am sure we are not happy with the current state of things in Festac. I wish Festac will take back it's place in all ramifications.

I wonder why we try to make this comparison. One interesting thing is that as of 2008, an average SEA in Bank PHB was making at least on average N225k (an equivalent of almost $2k USD) without PIP and I wonder how people come 16 years after to discuss less than $1K. Is that some progression or retrogression?

This is strange though for a country where almost everything is imported and not much is expected. This suggest one thing. Our accounts are very wrong and it is obvious that most of the transactions do not go through the right channel since most people source their foreign currency and trade them in return in black markets.
