Glad they came out alive. I feel for the driver and his family. I pray God rest his soul and comfort his family.

That said, were they released or the police rescued them?

A part of the article said they were released however, in conclusion, the Nigerian Police claimed they rescued them.

FamilyRe: Pls I Need Your Advice by GboyegaD(m): 10:39pm On Feb 01, 2024
Tell him forehand that you would love to have a discussion with him. Maybe tell him on Wednesday if you want to talk on Saturday.
Write down the things you want to talk about and how they affect you.
At the start of the conversation, tell him it is tough for you but you need discuss it. More importantly, you would appreciate he listens to you first before responding. Let him know he isn't on the spot and need not respond immediately but you would appreciate if he takes his time to reflect on it.

TravelRe: I Visited MAKOKO, The Largest Floating Slum In Africa (pics, Video) by GboyegaD(m): 2:41pm On Jan 30, 2024
Remember visiting some few times with my mom. She had a former church member of their church who was a tailor living there. The woman will always claim she loved the community while I never did because you have to park your car, take a bus and a canoe to get to her house.
She would gladly serve popo garri and those tiny dishes (I don't know what they are called).

HealthRe: Men Have You Ever Been In The Labour Room? by GboyegaD(m):
Yes I have. The first time, I told her at conception I am not a fan of women going through labor pains and we should opt for elective cesarean section. She said she would like to experience labor and I had to let her have her way.
Fast forward to 3rd trimester, I talked about epidural and she was like she isn't sure she wants to take it. I was like I am not in support of she not taking it as I do not see the need for the pain/stress.
We were asked to come to the hospital on the day of 40weeks and 1day. She was induced the following morning and by 5pm they moved us into our own delivery room. As at then dilation was still less than 3cm.
In the cause of the night, dilation got to 5cm and my wife cried with each contraction. At some point she had to request the epidural herself. Around 5am they had to break the water and said the baby was distressed because there was mycomium in the water.
About an hour later, the doctor said it was time for CS. They gave me scrubs to wear however, they said they will wheel her into the theater before they bring me in.
I was there when my baby was brought out and handed over to the peadtric nurse who cleaned him up and then gave him to me.

The second one, we opted for CS before conception. I was there and this time they did cut the umbilical cord longer so that I can also cut it myself.

The pains of CS last longer in terms of healing process however, I believe it is better particularly, if your threshold for pain is very low.

FamilyRe: As A Man I Will Not Be Happy To Marry A Lady Whose Womb Is Damaged by GboyegaD(m): 7:19am On Jan 27, 2024
How do you know her womb is damaged? Did her Gynecologist tell you/ her that or you are just concluding? She should work with her gynecologist to know what her issues are so that they can be tackled.
People like you who think you know is part of her challenges as you can create fear where there is none.

That said, why are your sisters getting pregnant out of wedlock? Why can't you educate your sister sexually instead of allowing your mom encouraging her to abort?

The older generation keep giving we the younger ones a run. I am appreciative of the fact that they are setting good examples.
RomanceRe: Can The Past Life Of A Lady Truly Be Overlooked ? by GboyegaD(m): 3:57pm On Jan 26, 2024
She should bring it up with her to hear her side of the story. The friend could have hyped things out of jealousy.

That said, even if it is true, it's her past provided she has genuinely changed.
FoodRe: I Cant Eat Without Excess Pepper In My Food. Why? by GboyegaD(m): 3:51pm On Jan 26, 2024
To each his/her own. I don't like pepper and an average stew for me uses at most 2 Habaneros, 3 Bell peppers for redness, and 10 big Tomatoes.
FamilyRe: Should I Be Concerned About Marrying A 39yrs Old Woman? by GboyegaD(m): 3:15pm On Jan 26, 2024
PrinceofSarcasm:
You want to marry her because she is a citizen. That's the main motivation for you ...

So just know it won't be a marriage because this is purely transactional so don't go in there with warped expectations.

Don't go there looking for love because she is just desperate to have a family while you want documents

So don't call this what it is not. This is an arrangement
Don't be too hay in your conclusion. If he's also in Canada, he doesn't necessarily need marry he for his papers. You don't know his status, so why conclude?
FamilyRe: Should I Be Concerned About Marrying A 39yrs Old Woman? by GboyegaD(m): 3:13pm On Jan 26, 2024
Smile4mee01:
I'm a single 39yr old Nigeria guy in diaspora trying to settle down and going to Nigeria to marry is not an option.

I'm an introvert who has been through some childhood trauma in my family and really fear marriage because of what I have seen and how bad it can be sometimes.

However, an old female friend and colleague of mine who we worked together in Nigeria and now in canada recently contacted me and she is also single and not had children. She is doing well for herself and now a citizen there while I'm not. A part of me is concerned about

1. Fertility : I desire children. However, can she have me healthy children @ 39. How many can she have? I discussed us trying for a child , she appears to want a.marriage first. But what gurantees do I have to have children.

Should I be concerned? I dont want to enter one chance.

Please I use God beg you, no insults just advice. Abeg. God bless you.
Your concerns are genuine however, I would think what you want to know is her history. If she tells you everything is fine, then you should be good to go.
The good thing is at your age, if you try for 6 months and she isn't pregnant, you are quickly considered for assisted pregnancy which involves doing all necessary tests and providing the best solution/alternative.

PoliticsRe: Inflation To Fall In 2024 — CBN Governor, Cardoso by GboyegaD(m): 3:25pm On Jan 24, 2024
Hmm.... inflation targeting when almost everything consumed is imported. Importation has many parts to play in our inflation and except we are targeting all those ways in which importation leads to inflation, this might end up being more talk than reality.
