Family / Re: Ojukwu's Family Asks Bianca For Proof Of Marriage by geeez: 10:28am On Oct 24, 2013 |
The fact that someone lives in your house and bears your kids doesn't mean that she is legally married to you These guys are just a bunch of confused people with this back and forth over Oju Iku's possessions. The warlord that cowardly fled didn't even leave properties worthy of a fight in his republic but on another man's land. And contrary to the lies that he owned over half of Ikoyi, the contention now is on three old houses. Bianca needs to show a marriage certificate (which she doesn't have) and that her kids are not FFK's or even OBJ's. Even my aboki has the right to claim those kids until proven otherwise. 1 Like |
Crime / Re: Southwest, Kidnap Capital Of Nigeria by geeez: 2:23pm On Oct 23, 2013 |
To start with, the SW has a much higher population than the SE making incidents more likely. The report should have done a crime per person assessment as well. You also have to consider the fact that a substantial volume of the crimes committed in the SW have south easter origins. If you alloted perpetrators to their states of origin, you will discover how alien vices like kidnapping, robbery and rape are in the SW Two days ago, six kidnappers from the SE were sentenced to 27yrs in prison. Till date, no one from the SW has been convicted of kidnapping in the SE. You will recall the Cynthia incidents and you will agree with me that no one from the SW has been convicted of rape in the SE |

While I'm a strong advocate of fiscal federalism, this just shows the financial abracadabra in Abuja More oil is pumped, oil prices remain the same and revenue drops. Isn't that government magic And to think it is the same militants that have the technical expertise to damage and siphon fuel through pipes, that are ones now guarding it The more you look, the less you see 3 Likes |
Politics / Re: Oduah’s Car More Expensive Than British Pm’s Car by geeez: 5:07pm On Oct 20, 2013 |
FreeGlobe: So that's why Obama's car has a missile defense system and Oduah's doesn't because Nigeria is more secure than America abi? Who is more of a high profile target between Oduah and the British PM and if you read the OP well enough (though I doubt you can comprehend things), you will realize that the issue raised is that of corruption. The British PM's car is more valuable and sophisticated but costs less than half of Oduah's. You sure must have dropped out or paid your way through a cheap school. Like your moniker suggests, that globe on your neck is as empty as it is free 4 Likes |

Gowon said he believed Ojukwu will fight to the very end like he claimed before the war but he cowardly ran away According to him, Hitler was more honorable, taking his own life What a pity? I like Gowon's charisma in the video and he behaved and acted like a C-in-C unlike some who are even afraid to be called that 5 Likes |

Politics / Radio Biafra Quiet About Stella by geeez: 3:52pm On Oct 20, 2013 |
I've watched with utter disgust and dismay how tribal Stella Oduah's gross abuse of office has turned The ever vocal Radio Biafra has not mentioned a single word about it when the scandal broke. For those saying the cars belong to the ministry, I would like them to show me one Nigerian minister that left his/her official cars for his/her successor. If you cant come up any proof of that, I will like to know what official cars Oduah's predecessor left for her. For those calling for Fola's head, I would give you a 50% and if I were him, I would have resigned and kept my integrity intact. This is a man I've known to have been very upright in his dealings now haplessly defending a fraud he never initiated or completed. For those asking Stella to stay despite this fraud which she has not denied, I can only wish that you have your country you so badly crave for after the National Conference, and government officials in the mold of Oduah 3 Likes |

Politics / Re: President Jonathan Commissions 500MW Omotosho Power Plant by geeez: 8:13pm On Oct 19, 2013 |
[b] By Chika Amanze-Nwachuku 09 Nov 2010 Energy Hopes for improved power supply in the country have been rekindled as Olorunsogo is set to generate 250mw of electricity to the national grid. The first phase of the Olorunsogo Power plant, which was among the three gas-fired plants built by the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo was to generate 304MW of electricity. But the plant has been out of operation since 2007, due to lack of gas supply. However, THISDAY learnt last weekend that the faulty units in the plants have been rehabilitated, while plans are being put in place for the supply of gas to the power station. It was learnt that work is in progress for the completion of the phase two of the thermal station, which is expected to add 750mw to the national grid. The Obasanjo administration had planned to complete the phase two of the power station at a cost of $449 million, as government was poised to raise power generation to 10, 000mw by the end of 2007. However, due to gas constraints, most of the power stations operated far below their installed capacities, while others were completely shut. Information obtained by THISDAY showed that the 414 capacity Geregu Power station, could only generate about 100mw due to gas shortage. The plant, according to the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) sources, requires 92mmscf/d. Similarly, Omotosho power plant, with capacity to generate 304mw, could generate only 39mw but requires 75mmscf/d. The three power plants - Geregu, Omotosho and Olorunsogo, were built in the twilight of the Obasanjo administration. Rekindling hopes of improved power supply from the thermal stations, Managing Director of National Integrated Power Project (NIPP), Mr. James Olotu, disclosed that at least two units of the Olorunsogo plant, are expected to add about 250 mw, while another 500mw will come from the Alaoji and Sapele power stations respectively. ‘We are expecting that by the end of this year, Olorunsogo (Papalanto) will give us at least two units before December, which will give us about 250 mw, Alaoji Power plant is expected to give us at least one or two units, which will be another 250mw, two units from Sapele, which will give us another 250mw and the sum of these is about 750mw to be added to the national grid,” he had said. The Executive Director, Operations, PHCN, Mr. John Ayodele, revealed recently that in addition to the 230 million standard cubic feet of gas per day (mmscf/d) received, additional 600mmscf of gas daily is needed to power the gas turbine stations.
