How can they say that?

Militants are getting recruited daily in the SS, pipeline vandals from the creeks are opening new businesses in Arepo, kidnappers increasing their activities in the SS/SE, baby factories opening all over the SE and half of oil exports are stolen and controlled by ghosts. How can you say then that there are no jobs?

Have militants Nigerians ever owned as many private jets as they do now?

Rare Diamond: ABA IS ONE OF THE WORLD'S INDUSTRIAL CITY.

1 BIGGEST MALTING PLANT IN AFRICA IS LOCATED IN ABA

2 BIGGEST ALUMINUM CAN FACTORY IN AFRICA IS IN ABA

3 BIGGEST MEGA MALL IN THE WORLD IS IN ABA

4 ABA HAS THE LARGEST CONCENTRATION OF INDUSTRIAL CLUSTERS IN AFRICA

5 LARGEST INDUSTRIAL CITY IN WEST AFRICA IS IN ABA

ETC

Haba Aba! I thought I would be seeing a quote from Fortune 500, The Economist, CNN, CNBC, Forbes or even MAN or at least OUK

Obviously someone just had too much to drink and 5MB to spare

One says the owner is an Asaba man, another says he's an Igbo man

Funny attache people. If you know a man's age, you should at least be able to tell his name

What's even more amusing is that a lot of people saying Asaba this, Igbo that do not even own a square inch of land in Lagos neither do they live in any neighbourhood that commands a feather of respect

The breakdown shows which sectors contribute mostly to the state's GDP with trading, though important, being almost inconsequential

If Lagos was a country, it would be the eleventh biggest economy. This is why the DAWN agenda for the SW states must be implemented as a matter of urgency. From last year's GDP figures, if the region was a country in Africa, it will be the fifth largest economy

Gen. Orumov:
^^^ true talk! While that is an obvious reason, the Govt is the main culprit.
(1) Proper tendering process isn't followed. Jobs are awarded to friends/croonies and politicians. Eventually, contractors awarded these contracts are not well scrutinized before giving contracts to them.
(2) And in a case where the contractor is genuine, monies budgeted for these projects are not released as at when due thereby causing abandonment of the projects.

Processes and procedures are meant to be improved on with time, taking key lessons from previous failures

You will notice that road construction projects awarded in recent times are executed promptly and fewer projects experience these beaurocratic bottlenecks compared to what it used to be like

Aren't you guys tired yet?

Meanwhile these same people praise OUK, Ibori, Alams and a whole lot more with cases of fraud and corruption handing over their necks

If you feel so convinced, file a fresh application with your evidence(s) against this man who many courts have discharged and acquitted for the same crimes you're accusing him of

Meanwhile for the records, Okoya is the biggest landlord in Lagos

While some roads have been under construction for so long and seem like they will never be completed, more than ten times those roads have been completed and commissioned

The truth is that some contractors treat these jobs with levity forcing the government to re-award those projects which is usually an excruciating process which can lead to litigation if not properly handled

Dear berem, pls what legacies did ffk leave?

The Total Radar Coverage. Before he became minister, we relied on Ghanian radars

This is substance unlike the cosmetic minster who believes the finer the building, the safer the airlines

It's like a girl believing that her lipstick and powder will give her the right answers to questions in an examination

Sunny_bobo: Did he say where he kept the 16.5 billion naira aviation intervention fund?

Ask the EFCC that dropped charges against him. Meanwhile, your mentor you're so passionately defending won't have her lipstick and seductive voice help her when the lid on the renovation scam is blown open

Omexonomy: Durring his tenur he claimed that plane crashes were as a result of wicked winches and wizard from his gurl friend (beremole) village tha loves to drink human blood and eat human shit.

During his tenure there was no single crash. Can you mention one single ant that dropped to the ground in our airspace when he oversaw the Ministry of Aviation

I'm wondering if airlines should budget more for prayers than maintenance going by the current minister's comments

One minister invested in total radar coverage while he was there while the other has been painting the airports. It's obvious that she's only all about cosmetics and makeup than addressing the real substance.

There was no crash while he was Aviation Minister and he says every Nigerian has a right to life and wonders why a minister will attribute a crash to God.

There's a world of difference between a shopping mall and a shopping complex

A shopping has all its shops under one roof

This, from all indications isn't a shopping mall

The Dubai Mall is the biggest in the world with 1,200 shops and it's all under one roof

Politics / Re: Ogun State The Next Lagos In The Making? by geeez: 6:29pm On Oct 09, 2013
It's not just Ogun

The SW is fast becoming industrialised

There is a concerted effort by states of the SW to transform the region into an economic hub

I've been to every state of the region even in recent times and I've seen each nuke and cranny grow and transform

I must admit that Ogun is fast growing but Osun is growing even faster. All you need to do is analyse their year-on-year GDP growth which is evident in their increased IGRs. In two years, Ogun grew from N730m to N4bn monthly while Osun grew from N300m to N1.6bn

Once again, we are proving that we are a state that can attract valuable investment by creating the atmosphere for such to thrive

We don't go cap in hand to Abuja pleading for bridges, highways, ports, railways and airports to be built

We take our destiny in our own hands and define our future from today

kettykin: For those looking only at the negatives and not the positive, consider this while not condoning mismanagement of public funds in any way, if Babangida and Atiku did not invest their stolen loots we would not be having Glo, Glo one, Dangote cement, sugar. If obasanjo did not invest his loot we will not be having Obasanjo farms , dangote cement , if Tinubu and James Ibori did not invest their loot we will not be having Oando, Notore, LCC, first nation , thenation newspapers, TVC, GTB, Access bank.
If Awolowo did not invest his stolen money we wouldn't have been able to read tribune newspapers, drink coca Cola, fanta, ,sprite , bank with Wema bank, use ikeja airport hotel, buy Dunlop tyre.

Is Akwa Ibom his state?

If this was Tinubu, you all would have been screaming 'Money stolen from Lagos' but I guess OUK who left his state impoverished and handed over to a worse successor is better than BAT who developed a prosperous state which you're all flocking into
