Impressive

This is just mind blowing

If we can have several compendiums of English names, why shouldn't we for Yoruba names

You mean its Awolowo and not our friends from that side of town

One thing I keep saying is that a people that are progressive in their mindset will always attract development

Lagos is fast growing because BRF is progressive

Ogun, Oyo and Osun are fast catching up for the same reason

God bless the Yoruba race

80% of crimes in Yorubaland are committed by people of non-Yoruba origin

95% of crimes in other regions outside Yorubaland are committed by people from those regions

You can't break the laws of the land in Yoruba territory and go scot-free

It has nothing to do with where you're from

Even if you're from Lagos, the law must take its course

If you quote me and post crap, may your money be laundered as well and never recovered
Politics / Re: Osun Airport ’ll Have Longest Runway In Nigeria’ by geeez: 10:41am On Nov 06, 2013
See beef

The last time I checked (for 2012), Osun had a higher GDP than any state in the SE

The state also has a higher IGR than any state in the SE

Need I say more about where more economic activities lie?

You can develop a HBP on your low GDP but even if you choose to, figures don't lie and mind you, this is an independent computation from an international organization

This is what we have to do

Osun has built a ranch

Other SW states should also build cattle ranches

Free grazing should be regulated and well controlled like the OGSG has done

This initiative is actually to protect the Fulanis so that what befell their kinsmen in Oyo and Kwara won't happen to them to

Yorubas proved in those instances that they are no pushovers and cannot be taken for granted

God bless. Yorubaland

Politics / Osun Airport ’ll Have Longest Runway In Nigeria’ by geeez: 10:15am On Nov 06, 2013
Aeronautical Engineering and Technical Services, the company handling the construction of MKO International Airport, Ido Osun, in Osun State, has said that the airport will have the longest runway in the country by the time it is completed.

The Project Supervisor of the company, Mr. Abubakar Abuyaro, said this while conducting Governor Rauf Aregbesola round the airport on Tuesday.

He stated that the airport was being built to accommodate Boeing 737 series and other big aircraft.

While assuring the governor that the airport would be ready in May 2014, Abuyaro said the runway would be 3.5 kilometres long.

With 3.5 kilometres runway, the airport under construction beats the Murtala Muhammed International Airport and the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja in terms of the length of the runway.

According to Abuyaro, the length of the runway of an airport determines the aircraft the airport can accommodate.

Abuyaro said, “50 per cent of the earthwork on the runway, which is the most important part of the job, has been achieved. Rainy season is gradually coming to an end.

“As soon as rainfall subsides, work will definitely go at a high speed in the airport, which after completion, is going to be one of the best airports in the country.”

Aregbesola commended the company for its diligence to work and urge the workers not to fail.

The governor had earlier visited the East By-pass Road where he inspected one of the major bridges still under construction in an effort to ensure that contractors handling various projects in the state carry out quality jobs and complete the projects at the stipulated time.

The project being handled by a Turkish company, Slava Yeditepe, is to complete the circle of rings around the state capital and ensure no traffic bottlenecks are created as the state capital witnesses rapid developments.

If Ondo looks this good, what will you make of Akure?

Dolts, you cannot eat your cake and have it..

It is sold, it is sold, no return of money after payment..

When you were selling your landed properties for a pot of 'amala' you do not know..?

If not that Ogun, Ekiti, Oshun, Oyo and Ondo are all rural states and requires total demolition due to infestation of sea of mud houses and rusted zincs, Anambrans would have bought it single handedly.

I learnt that a choice plot of land in ekiti, oyo and oshun goes for mere 200k..

That is gonna be a sweep.. grin grin

Once again you're proving that you've never bought or inherited a piece of land in Lagos before

Even the ones I've built my houses on in Lagos and Abuja are leased lands from government

I own my house and the government has the right to revoke my occupancy after paying compensation

When you start acquiring properties, then we can have a conversation, for now you're just a pauperized daydreamer

Of course, Anambrans owns 65% of Lagos which happened not to be yorobar land but former capital of Nigeria and presently a no-man's land..

On the other hand Anambrans owns Anambra 100%..

Statement of fact!

Those who've never owned a square inch of land never cease to amaze me

It's called Certifcate of Occupancy and not Ownership

You don't even occupy half as much as you've claimed

If only 20% of your brain was occupied by some sense

Yoruba leaders against all odds have been vocal against corruption and corrupt people whether or not they are their kinsmen

The likes of Femi Falana, Yinka Odumakin, Wole Soyinka, Beko Kuti, Fela Kuti, Femi Kuti, Seun Kuti, Abraham Adesanya, Bola Ige, Gani Fawehinmi, Tunji Braithwaithe, Tunde Bakare etc have stood on the side of truth more than any 'persons' else even at the risk of their own lives and when they has nothing financially to gain

God bless the few men of honour that remain

I condemn this detestable act in the strongest way possible

I pray justice is served and the boys made to face the full brunt of their actions

My heart goes out to Vivian and I hope she recovers physically and emotionally

Yorubas will not give or receive an advance payment of N4,000 to protest in support of the culprits

We don't take advantage of or subjugate women in our culture. As a matter of fact, we have the most accomplished women in history and modern Nigeria

God bless the Yoruba race

I'm surprised people chose to remain in those houses and shops after they were marked for demolition

The notice and extent of the demolition is already clear from the markings on the fences and walls and all the landlords needed to do was get a tape

I know this road and I used to have an aunt who lives around Alagbole and each time I visited, I was always too sure th buildings will have to leave someday. Some of those houses should have been there for over three decades

I commend Amosun for taking this awesome initiative

I'm proud to be Yoruba

God bless Ogun

God bless Yoruba land

God bless every Yoruba man, woman, boy or girl.

We have everything it takes to be anything we want
