djon78: hahaha make i come back when they wake up, let me ask you this question , was lagos developed by the yorubas? NO lagos was developed initially by the british and then later by the FG because it was the capital then so my dear lagos has never been what ever it is today because of ur peoples effort rather its because of other peoples effort, even till this present time,

like i stated b4 nija is changing small small and little by little water go find her level, every region will develop at its pace, then you will know whether south east will not also develop.

you are talking of south south being part of biafra and we igbos claiming them, i have this to say to u, we dont claim any part of south south. although there were bad blood btw us and them during those 60s period presently there is cordial relationship btw us and them, it was an igbo man ekwueme who brougth about the minorities having their own region south south during 1993 constitutional conference, also during jonas presidency we gave the south south our full support so there is no wahaala btw us and them, they have their own region we have our own so we are not claiming anything. they are our cousins and brother and neighbours, we intermarry with them a lot likewise the middle belt region also, are our neighbours and brothers, while ur own people are not our neighbours either.

and mind you if na oil u think we are looking for we have our own oil too, but am not even talking about oil rather for my region south east to harness the potential of our people and turn out to be a major globaly recognised industrial region to emerge from sub-sahara africa and my dear we are capable cos i know the potential God gave my pple.
Wasn't Calabar Nigeria's capital at some point? And Lagos ceased to the nation's capital over 20years ago so what has kept the state going? ... The Yoruba ingenuity. Just live with it. Under Yoruba leadership, IGR grew from barely N600m each month in 1999 to over N23bn today. Under the Yorubas, the state has been the trailblazer of states in Nigeria. Under Yoruba leadership, the SW states have reduced poverty in the region and made it the envy of states. The politics, philosophy, psychology and intellect of theYoruba race is something you should learn from and not envy
PoliticsRe: Are We Moving Forward Or Backwards. by geez1: 8:20pm On Nov 29, 2012
onitshaigbo: Lagos and Igbo Southeast is moving forwards. But the rest of Nigeria is going backwards. God save Nigeria.
Check out the stats for yourself and discover that only the SW is developing while the other regions are either stagnant or moving backwards

PoliticsRe: Yoruba Groups Want Okada Banned In South West by geez1: 7:17pm On Nov 29, 2012

There is no provision for okadas in the regional economic powerhouse of the South West where fast moving trains blaze across the landscape from city to city and highways connect even the smallest of towns.
PoliticsRe: Federal Govt, Stopped World Bank From Given More Loan To Lagos State Govt.. by geez1: 7:07pm On Nov 29, 2012
djon78: and what plans do u have for us?

let me tell u Nija is changing small small, by the time electricity is constant, steady and uninterrupted, many industries will spring up in the east meaning that many of our people will return home and less likely to troop to ur region, so u wont have so called us to deal with.

and by the way lagos is too overhyped, even in Africa Lagos cannot be compared to cities like joburg, capetown, cairo, etc in any ramification talkless of comparing lagos to emerging economies cities like Dubai, Singapore, Kuala lumpur, Doha etc. lagos is a cesspol, stinking, dirty, poorly planned city. so quit all these crappy noise u make about lagos.

thats why am angry with our south east leaders we are supposed to develop at least one world class city in igboland and we are capable of doing it afterall we go and help develop other regions only for them to insult us. if this city is initiated diasporan igbos and those home and abroad will really help to do it, cos i know what my pple are capable of doing

let our igbo leaders wake up if they can come out with such vision to develop a world class city within south east with a modern fast speed railway connecting the city to other regions like south south and middle belt who are our next door neighbours, then let me see what will give mostly these south westerners the effontery to insult the igbos who are the major contributors to the development of their region. i just pray for visionary igbo leaders that will develop our region then these noise makers that insult us will know our value when we leave their region to them.

amechi of rivers state is doing serious visionary things for his state likewise Akpabio for Akwa ibom state.
Come back and let's talk when they wake up ... And I bet you they won't

Besides Rivers and Akwa Ibom states are not a part of your Biafra Republic as they have always insisted . Too bad. Biafra is a landlocked state and don't call that your jetty in Onitsha a port for God's sakes

PoliticsRe: House Of Reps Seeks End Tolagos, F.G Row Over$600million Loan by geez1: 11:31am On Nov 29, 2012
gunuvi: With all the huge IGR Lagos is earnig everyday coupled with the allocations Fashola still continue borrowing. Time will tell, gradually the propagandas are no more working. Oju ara eko ti la.
Why do big corporations borrow? If you wanna execute a project worth N100m and you make N10m monthly, won't you consider yourself eligible and capable to take and repay the loan? Must you wait till you save N100m over ten months before you embark on the project assuming inflation is 0%.

Isn't he FG itself borrowing to finance it's projects? And has the WB complained of fund diversion or default on any of its existing facilities to the LASG.

Desola: Olooribu, i've told you before that we don't mind you trooping in. We need your best brains and those of you who can start up viable businesses that would generate taxable income for our state. The not so desirable ones would be systematically sent back as we have sampled with the last batch of deportees to your erosion ravaged neighbourhoods. In fact, we are checkmating you by making mandatory, a requirement for residence cards to ensure that you don't come and eat, shit in our land and come census period; run back to your backward villages to be counted so as to generate more money for your governors who only seat pretty at the top without having to use their allowance from daddy Nigeria on you lot because you are ghost citizens who actually reside in Lagos. Ensuring you are counted means that we know where you are; what you are doing and it enables us to get the accurate allocation from daddy Nigeria. It is unfair at the moment that census records shows 18million Nigerians residing in Lagos when in actual fact, it could be well over 20million. We get allocation based on the 80mill figure but have to cater for over 20mill, now that is a huge descrapancy!

Come one, come all but you will be made to live according to our rules and we will make certain to frustrate you that only those who can yield would be able to stay. No more free for all.
These guys really don't know what 'plans' we have for them do they? grin
PoliticsRe: Federal Govt, Stopped World Bank From Given More Loan To Lagos State Govt.. by geez1: 7:55pm On Nov 28, 2012
PointB: And by the way, we will keep trooping down to Lagos state in droves (for sundry reasons) as long as the state remain part of Nigeria. And there is nothing anybody can do about it.

Pathetic clowns.
As long as you behave yourselves, keep our laws and pay your taxes, there won't be issues but the day you trespass and violate any vulnerable Yourba person, we will show you who is boss here
PoliticsRe: Fasola Lasg by geez1: 7:52pm On Nov 28, 2012
@OP, you can ask your state governor to impose the same taxes in your state (as if he doesn't already) and lets see if he generates a quarter of what Lagos does
PoliticsRe: Federal Govt, Stopped World Bank From Given More Loan To Lagos State Govt.. by geez1: 7:42pm On Nov 28, 2012
Anyone here ever heard of the 5Cs of Lending?

Lagos has never taken more than it can pay back

The FG is only trying cheaply blackmail the LASG and frustrate further development so they can 'claim' Lagos in 2015. They won't work and won't allow those who want to get things done, get them done. They are still amazed at how much Lagos generates on a monthly basis and keenly covet it.

Each time I look at GEJ, his government and his policies, I keep shaking my head asking if this is the best the SE and SS can pull together for a leader. It's a big shame. We can see clear symptoms of the economic diseases of the Biafra Republic
PoliticsRe: Federal Govt, Stopped World Bank From Given More Loan To Lagos State Govt.. by geez1: 7:36pm On Nov 28, 2012
