rvp20182:Nigeria emerges Africa’s highest crude oil producer for November 2022 |
Nigeria emerges Africa’s highest crude oil producer for November 2022 Nigeria reclaimed her top position as Africa’s highest crude oil producer in November 2022, latest production data has shown. This is according to data in the recently released Monthly Oil Market Report (MOMR) by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC). The data showed that Nigeria produced higher volumes of crude oil than its closest rivals, Angola and Algeria for the month under review. Secondary sources: According to the OPEC data, Nigeria produced 1,158 million barrels per day (mb/d) of crude oil, taking the top spot among African crude oil producers. Angola emerged second, producing 1,102 mb/d and Algeria took third place producing 1,022 mb/d during the month under review. Direct communication: Meanwhile, according to direct communication from the OPEC data, Nigeria produced 1,186 mb/d of crude oil. Angola took second place producing 1,088 mb/d and Algeria emerged in third place, producing 1,021 mb/d for the month under review. |
michlins:But he did, several times in his colloquium speeches. |
Tractor Assembly Plant Kaduna.

Charly68:Exactly. |
SmartPolician:What exactly is so wrong with supporting Tinubu? |
Only 4000 people tuned in live to this. Neither Obi nor Tinubu have ever had such low views whenever they are live, to my knowledge. |
Just30:Just40 this debt restructuring, at what length would it affect Banks in Ghana? Fitch says Nigerian Banks would also be affected. How do you see the Government helping the Banks and big businesses in this situation? https://www.thenigerianvoice.com/news/314946/ghanas-debt-restructuring-affects-nigerian-banks-fitch.html |
E-payment transactions in Nigeria hit N38.9 trillion in November 2022 Data released by the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement Systems (NIBSS) has revealed that transactions worth N38.9 trillion (around 80 Billion dollars) were performed electronically in November through the NIBSS Instant Payment platform (NIP). Nairametrics understands that this is the highest monthly transaction record on the platform. Impressive growth: According to the NIBSS data, the November figure brought the total value of NIP deals in the last 11 months to N345 trillion (around 700 Billion dollars). Year on year, the e-payment value increased by 50% compared with the N25.9 trillion recorded in November last year. Compared with the N34.5 trillion recorded in the preceding month, the November figure also shows a 12.7% growth. The value of the e-payment recorded was a reflection of the increase in the volume of deals within the month. The NIP volume rose to 492.2 million in November, showing a 53.8% increase over 319.9 million recorded in the same period last year. More growth anticipated: While the cashless policy of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is already gaining traction with many Nigerians embracing the use of the various e-payment channels for transactions, the revised cashless policy, which is further limiting the amount of cash that can be withdrawn by individuals and corporate organisations will further drive a surge in electronic transactions across the country. According to the new policy which followed the redesigning of N1,000, N500, and N200 notes, effective from January 9, 2023, cash withdrawal by an individual will be limited to N100,000 a week, while corporate organisations have an N500,000 withdrawal limit in a week. About the NIBSS Instant Payments: The NIP is an account-number-based, online-real-time Inter-Bank payment solution developed in the year 2011 by NIBSS. It is the Nigerian financial industry’s preferred funds transfer platform that guarantees instant value to the beneficiary. https://nairametrics.com/2022/12/09/e-payment-transactions-in-nigeria-hit-n38-9-trillion-in-november-2022/ |
unclejb2:Ask yourself this question: If this had happened in a PDP Government (especially the Jonathan Government), would it have been exposed? Wasn't this corruption also exposed by APC? So how are they more corrupt than PDP? |
Peterobi90:He has made his first interview. More would likely follow soon, most likely an interview with Kadaria, then who knows? maybe Channels. |
Peterobi90:I think he is against AriseTV specifically knowing it is a PDP station. |

g4gerald:We are talking of increasing revenue here. So this parameter is baseless. Obiano for instance created more streams of revenue than Obi did. All of the things I listed there were all about policies and vision. For instance, the bar beach problem was solved by the private sector at no cost to Lagos. But it was the Tinubu administration that found the solution because they sought for solutions and were able to find company from Denmark who suggested the idea and also solved the problem. Put a visionless or stupid Governor there and they might have spent all the time complaining and waiting for the Federal Government to find solution. |
ezechi242:Which one did Obi build for his future health issues? |
g4gerald:The person I replied was basing his argument on competence, implying that Obi is the most competent of the candidates which I challenged as false with my reply. |
obaaderemi:Yeah true the bulk of them are the North, but Balyesa for instance have no reason to be poor (if we use the multidimensional data). |
Prinxzona10:It all depends on the angle you are looking at it from. Tinubu increased IGR of Lagos from 600million Naira to 5 Billion Naira partly because as an accountant he could introduce things like Oracle to weed out ghost workers as far back as 1999. In Tinubu's administration, the bar beach problem the federal Government/Military Government spent 4 Billion Naira yearly on was solved leading to the wall of Lagos in what eventually resulted into Eko Atlantic. Tinubu did more for the Lekki Corridor and opened up the Free Trade Zone there eventually in 2006. Tinubu created LASTMA in 2000 and then reformed RRS police as well as LAWMA. Tinubu reformed Lagos Judiciary greatly. Tinubu introduced Fashola. Sanwoolu and Ambode were also part of his team and they follow his blueprints for continuity. I don't know if Obi's records are equal to these. |
Nigerian Poverty Rate by Income as at August 2022 reduced to about 69 million people. Population: 215 million people. https://worldpoverty.io/headline

vaxx:Exactly the group the CBN is after. They would adopt Enaira and other simple fintech platforms. The CBN is modifying the enaira everyday making it suitable to use for even these guys. Also much of the banditry and insecurity in those borders with Niger and Chad can be attributed to this large informal trade you speak of. They say follow the money and you would follow the crime. |
vaxx:Since 2013, the CBN have been on a slow but steady drive to bring in the millions of people in the informal economy (which is too large). It is said (though no official report yet), that in Gombe state alone for instance, transactions on grains and some agricultural products are worth Billions of naira daily, but they are all done in cash. The CBN wants to slowly kill the informal sector. |
dyera:You said he didn't perform any magic to increase the IGR but as an accountant who knew his trade,he brought Oracle software into the system as at 1999 to weed out ghost workers and this helped. |
chrisooblog:Yeah but that's mostly an issue only with Niger Republic right? |
Nigeria is a funny country. While Nigeria struggles with electricity, a whooping 4.014 trillion naira (around 10 Billion dollars) is total debt being owed to Nigeria by Togo, Niger, and Benin Republic since 2018 for electricity supply. https://www.vanguardngr.com/2022/12/power-supply-reps-probe-n4-014trn-debts-by-togo-benin-niger-republics/ |
Slawomirr:If only our Edo and Delta state can be enslaved that way, so that we have new ports coming up and all the oil companies not running away. |
Just40:I think Egypt actually has the highest remittances in Africa with about 30 Billion dollars. Nigeria used to get around 25 Billion dollars at some point. Nigeria is top in Subsaharan Africa and 2nd in Africa. |
vaxx:E go better. |
jaxxy:PDP was responsible for this one. It happened in 2010. |
iwaeda:This was a PDP Government. |
kkins25:How many schools have you visited in Nigeria? Also, primary and secondary schools are not the major responsibilities of the man in Abuja but your state and local Governments. Hold them responsible too. |
68816419:I swear. It's shocking the amount of foreigners in their tech sector. Imagine we allow these amount of foreigners into our techspace combined with the indigenous talents and potentials we already have. Mehn. |
AriseTV is nothing but balablu bulabla. |
